7 Similar To That Of A Murderer

The academy have launched a party after the first day of the competition. And despite not wanting to, Eureka was pulled to attend it as well.

"You really were amazing Eureka," Karen enthusiastically said as they watch the party unfolding from the sidelines.

"That is the hundredth time you said that Karen, give our ears a break," Hideyoshi complained.

As the group chats together another group approached them.

"Well, well Raven I see that you found yourself a very capable ZERO group mate," one mockingly said as he smirked at Eureka.

"What do you want Kyro?" Mamoru asked the one who talked.

"What? I'm just congratulating your group for easily passing the first round," he answered sarcastically.

"And by the way, you do know what date it is tomorrow don't you Raven?" he looked back at Raven.

"You don't need to ask," Raven answered without looking at him and instead was looking outside the window.

"Acting indifferently, that's so like you," he looked at Raven with contempt.

"If that's all you have to say I shall take my leave now," Raven looked at him, but it didn't escape Eureka's perception the changes in his emotions.

He wasn't enjoying the party in the first place and now this person had come to make it worse.

"You really are despicable, acting normally, befriending people as if you didn't steal the time of another person," Kyro didn't back down and walked close to Raven.

He then sneered before whispering, so that only their group could hear whatever he's about to say, "Murderer"

Eureka raised a brow upon feeling the changes at the aura surrounding them after Kyro said the word. Most of it came from Kyro but part of it came from Raven as well.

He moved away looking at Raven, with the murderous aura surrounding him. As if he wanted to just pull out a sword and kill Raven right there and then.

Satisfied with what he had said, he looked at Eureka, "You shouldn't really get close to this group, you might end up dying once they're done with you."

Mamoru and Hideyoshi were about to rebuke when Eureka opened her mouth, "Aren't we just using each other to gain what we want?"

This shocked Kyro a bit before he laughed, "Why don't you just join our group? We can kick out one of our members and let you join, after all the groupings could reshuffle before the start of the next round."

"You-" Mamoru started but was cut short by Eureka.

"You called him a murderer but you're willing to accept a massacrer? I'm amazed. You seemed to hate him because of that but you can lower your ahead to accept someone like me?"

Everyone looked at her with shock.

"You think I'd believe that?" Kyro laughed but there was still a hint of hesitation in his voice.

And before anyone could react Eureka swiftly moved behind his back and placed a dagger in his throat. This sudden turn of events sent shivers down his spine.

Both group stood still with each taking a sharp breath, her movements were fluid.

"We can try it now if you don't mind," she said icily pressing the dagger on his throat.

This not only shut Kyro and his group up but Feena and the others as well.

They felt an icy feeling surrounding them.

"What's going on over here?" Kaoru suddenly interrupted.

That's when everyone realized that the whole place turned silent and that all the people around were looking at them.

Watching what's going on.

"Sh-She- She's trying to kill Kyro," one of Kyro's minion stuttered as he pointed at Eureka, who was still standing behind Kyro.

"Eureka!! What are you doing?!?" Kaoru frantically said.

Eureka then released Kyro and sighed, "Headmaster what I am holding is a plastic dagger, how could I kill someone with this?"

She used headmaster because this was an official event.

She tossed the dagger towards Kaoru, who caught it and saw that it is indeed a plastic one, looking around it is one of the designs for the party event.

"They actually got scared of a toy? How foolish," the whole venue started speaking in a mocking way towards Kyro's group.

For a group of upcoming knights, such display was truly embarrassing. They even looked so scared, when all along the dagger was but a toy.

"We're not yet done," Kyro angrily walked away from them and out of the venue.

"Are you okay? You're still pale," another one of his minions asked seeing how shaken up their leader is after they had left.

"That girl isn't joking, I felt it behind my back when she was holding me," he swallowed as he touched his neck.

"She isn't someone who can execute such movements without any experience. Her demeanor, her voice, her eyes everything about her that time represents someone who has her hands tainted with blood."

Somehow even though everything was over he can still feel the dagger on his neck. He can even feel his whole body shaking from what had just happened. Fear actually engulfed him.

Back at the party.

The group was just standing there trying to comprehend what had just happened. They still couldn't get it off their minds, the way Eureka countered Kyro.

"I lost interest, I will take my leave now," Eureka spoke first and walked away.

"Ah-" Karen wanted to call her back but couldn't find her voice.

Raven tapped her shoulder before following Eureka.

Outside the venue.

'They all looked so scared, what a pity,' Eureka thought to herself as she looked up at the sky.

Then suddenly realization hit her, 'Why did I think that it was a pity?'

She laughs internally while shaking her head at what she had suddenly tought.

'Even though I told myself not to get involve to anyone, not to get attached what the hell am I doing? Even though I had mocked their ignorance for what is really happening and what the future holds.'

"You're thinking something too deep, aren't you?" she suddenly heard Raven's voice behind her.

She turned around and there he was standing behind her, his voice and aura seemed to have no emotion at all.

She couldn't help but frown, there really are times that when she thinks too deep, she would forget about her surrounding. Something that she must change no matter what.

"Why did you come out as well? Did you also lose interest in the party?" she asked as she started walking again.

"No, I'm just wondering why did you do that?" Raven followed her even though his answer was a no.

"Do what?"

"Why did you help me?"

"Help you? I don't think I helped you though. I was speaking the truth, he spoke to me so I answered him, if he didn't I wouldn't have," she replied with indifference.

"Plus isn't it true, I needed a group in order to graduate, you needed a member to complete your group. So, in short, we are just using each other," she continued nonchalantly as they kept walking towards the dorms.

Raven who just said that he didn't lost interest to the party, walked along side her without any intention of going back.

"Then what you said after that was true as well?" he asked stopping while staring at her.

"Your father is the head knight, I don't think you didn't hear about me and the beginning of my stay here, I wouldn't be under the headmaster's guidance without the head knight knowing of it."

She spoke as she turned towards him, Raven stared straight in her eyes but he can't read anything from them.

He also frowned, this is the first time that they looked at each other's eyes and he felt something was amiss.

Eureka looked away after a few seconds, hat is also when he replied to what she had said.

"I've heard that you were found in the middle of the forest gravely injured. Though Kaoru told us the whole story, I've already heard most of it from my father."

He then remembered his father coming home saying that there must be a unique ability user hiding in the shadows for a certain girl to suddenly appear in the forest without anyone noticing her.

Especially since that forest was within the kingdom's walls, it was a forest expanding to the border.

"They thought I was there with the help of a unique ability user," Eureka spoke what was in his mind.

"It actually took them a month before they decided to let the headmaster take me under his wing, but I suppose me being under Kaoru's guidance is the only way for them to monitor my movements."

She then added as she started walking again, it didn't matter to her if he followed or not.

"Your demeanor, voice, eyes, back in the party-"

"They were similar to that of a murderer? I already told you right? I'm a massacrer," she interruped as if what she's saying is nothing of importance.

"You were from a place in the middle of a war?" he asked.

"Who knows," she replied not planning on answering his questions.

"Well then, goodnight," she said for they have arrived at the girl's dorm.

She turned her back and Raven could only watch until she entered the building. He then walked towards the boy's dorm.

'To meet someone who acts like killing is nothing while I wallow in the past, am I pathetic? Hiro?'
