(1) She's Pretty

I calm myself down as I was about to open the door of my dorm. I saw a girl arranging some of her stuff beside her bed.

I step forward and instinctively the girl look in my way and stand up for greetings. I bow my head awkwardly, she smiled and walked forward to me.

"Hi, it's nice to meet you. I'm Keith, Keithlyn Lim." she offered her hand and I stared at them for a second before I accept it. "Just call me Keith, Keithlyn is a bit too long." She said energetically and I on the other hand completely uneasy about the situation.

she let go of my hand and she put a smile on her face but I forcely smile since, I don't want her to think I'm rude or something.

"You must be Carmilla! Please make yourself at home." with her cheerful voice, I bow my head and start to place my sling bag on the bed.

"I see, you are the silent type of person. I'm actually going to look around the campus later, if you want we can" I become alerted of what she said so before she finishes her sentence I look at her and interrupted what she was about to say.

"I-I'm good, Thank you for offering." Suddenly her vibrant energy changes into gloomy and disappointed emotions.

"It's rude to cut people off when they're talking." She said before she go back to her space and I sigh and start to organize my things.

Afterwhile I glance at Keith who was about to go out of the door but then she stopped. I didn't know why and I don't bother asking her.

I'm sitting here in front of my ipad focusing myself on how I will draw the characters in my new story.

"About what happened a while ago.." she started and I let out a "ha?" because of her sudden conversation.

"There are people in this world that is afraid of being close to other people because of their past." she paused and I look at her back because she's still looking at the dorms door.

"And I'm just going to assume that's who you are." She turned around and I look at her eyes and her lips. I remained silent for a second before I talk.

"What do you mean?" I asked curiously and she sigh and walk towards me that somehow made me gulp.

"Let's forget about it! I'm not going to step any further that, in some way will make you feel uncomfortable." I was shocked by her response and after that, she burst out walking away after what she said.

I was so stunned by the moment. I honestly don't know why but it's the first time someone want me to feel comfortable around them.

I felt kind of joy.
