It was few weeks after the business party. Daniel and a few others from different departments were discussing something important. Lily was in her medical office writing up reports. After several minutes, she decided to go down and get a cup of coffee. Since Daniel was still in a meeting and she couldn't attend because she won't be able to understand most of stuff. She was only a doctor not a business person even though she did work in an office before but that was long time ago.

When she went down to the cafe in the lobby, she spotted someone familiar. It was Rachel. Her best friend whom she hasn't seen in ages. Lily waved at Rachel who was standing near the entrance and they both hugged.

"I missed you so much." Rachel was happy to see her old friend. Lily cannot contain her emotions, "I thought you will never come back to Shanghai." Lily cried happy tears. They both hugged and sat down on the chair to talk about many things that were happening.

"I couldn't reach you with my phone. Did you change your number?" Lily asked.

"I did. Didn't Jeffrey tell you?" Lily shook her head, "He was quite busy so I didn't ask." Lily took out her phone and added Rachel's phone number.

"Are you here for good or are you still going back to Japan?" Lily sipped her hot coffee waiting for Rachel to reply.

"I'll be working here starting tomorrow. I'm here for good." Rachel smiled and looked at Lily.

"You've grown so much and you're getting very pretty." Rachel complemented Lily. Lily shook her head, "Nah, you're prettier. I didn't have much time to put on too much make up." Lily laughed.

Rachel took out a huge envelope from her bag and gave it to Lily.

"These are for you to read. I heard you're a doctor for the President. These contains information from seven years ago. I've looked it up but most information were either non-existent or blocked so I've asked my other colleague to dig up some information. Don't show these to the President yet. I've read about the incident. Since it's important for him to regain lost memories himself, we cannot provoke him. These are for you to keep. I've talked to Jeffrey about it but not in details. Let's meet up tonight at my house. It's few steps away President's building." Rachel took Lily's hand and said, "Can you ask Ray to take care of the President while you're at my house?" Lily paused and replied, "Rachel, I need to stay with the President. Ever since I came, there has been few people targeting him already. It's not too safe for him. How about this... Let's meet up in the President's building, Jeffrey and Ray's room will be big enough. It's also next door. I'll feel safer that way." Lily carefully explained her reasoning and Rachel took her time and nodded.

"I won't show these to the President. I promise." Rachel nodded and got up.

"Let's meet up tonight. I'll come by after dinner." Rachel waved at Lily as she went back home.

Lily went back to her office and placed the envelope inside her bag. She saw Daniel across the room and he was still talking. Lily took the envelope out and inside were all papers but there was also an usb key. She inserted the usb key to the computer and looked into the file.

Lily took out her own usb key and transferred the information and placed it back into her bag.

She clicked the first video and it showed a man with a mask raping a middle aged woman. Second video showed the man without the mask and shot the woman. Lily enlarged it, the man looked really familiar. She carefully watched the video again and she suddenly remembered. It was the man she saw at the party. She took note of it and will discuss with Rachel later on. Then, she clicked on the security camera file and it showed a bunch of men with mask hitting a person... Lily looked closely and saw a familiar face.

"Elizabeth?" As she watched a bit carefully, the person they were hitting was a young male. Why does he look so familiar? Suddenly, she took out the newspaper and remembered a photo was on there. She compared it to the security camera. I knew it, she thought. She knew it was Elizabeth who shot Daniel five times.

"You're so dead, Elizabeth. There will be no escape for you."

Lily closed the video and read the confidential file:

HK Group-2012-embezzlement/2012-act of murder by HK President's Daughter/2012-illegal smuggle of drugs/ 2012- illegal bribes between HK and ASJ of Vietnam.

Holy mother of.... Lily couldn't believe what she had read. She made a mind map inside her notebook and made connections between HS Group and HK Group. Though, there were loopholes here and there... but one thing is for sure... Elizabeth did try to murder Daniel. She was also his ex-girlfriend. Lily shook her head, she had enough of Elizabeth's bullshit.

She stretched a bit and cleared all of the stuff. She placed the envelope and the USB key back into her bag. Ray came in just in time.

"Lily, you need to watch this. Come now." Lily took her bag and went out.

"This is NEWS4 Angela speaking. John Kim, the murderer of Sarah Li, Ken Li's wife of HK Group, has finally been released. He was accused of murdering HK President's wife seven years ago. Many people were angry and complained to the police that the sentence should be longer. As you can see, huge crowds were there early in the morning. Ken Li and her daughter, Elizabeth just came to the police station and will give us an update. Please stay tuned."

"Ray, where's Daniel? Wasn't he with you?" Lily was worried about Daniel. Ray shook his head, "I just saw him in his office but then he just disappeared."

"Ray, contact Jeffrey. I'll go find Daniel. You stay here." Ray nodded. Lily ran into his office but no one was in the room. She searched everywhere from the washroom to the cafeteria. No sign of him. She went to the staircase but no one in sight.

She called Jeffrey and told him to look on the rooftop.

"Lily, we just checked. President is not on the rooftop. We will be searching the basement." Lily nodded and tried to contact Daniel, "Pick up the damn phone!" But no one answered. She dialled Rachel's phone number, "Rachel, track Daniel's phone. I think something happened to him." Lily went back to the building and alerted the security room.

"Please track the President's phone. He disappeared. If you get any information, let me know. I'm his doctor."

The security alerted nearby police stations and SWAT teams were dispatched. Ambulance were dispatched and they were closed by.

Several hours later, still no news on Daniel. Police got to the location where his phone was located. Daniel still hasn't appeared yet. The police were on call and stayed near the building. Other teams were on call and waiting for orders.

"Lily, it's Rachel. His phone was located inside his house. He didn't bring the phone with him. My team will try their best and find Daniel. You also do your part. He can't be far." Rachel hanged up and Lily prayed that nothing has happened to Daniel. She went back to his office and she spotted Daniel lying on the floor. He wasn't there few moments ago, Lily thought it was weird.

"Daniel, Daniel! Wake up, Daniel!" Lily notified the security that she found Daniel. All of the police plus SWAT teams were notified and they left. Paramedics arrived at the scene and took Daniel to a hospital.

The doctors were notified and immediately took in Daniel. They checked using CT Scan to make sure nothing happened to the brain. Lily notified Jeffrey and Ray that Daniel was found and she brought him to the hospital.

Daniel was transferred to a VIP room and the nurse checked the IV and left the room. Lily was relieved Daniel was alright. The doctor came in and notified Lily, "Are you his family member?" She introduced herself as a private physician for the President. She showed the doctor her ID.

"Since you're a doctor, I'll be explaining in details. Mr. Kim had a bullet stuck inside his head for a long time. There was a minor infection and we took care of it using antibiotic. The place of bullet is dangerous and it can cause cognitive problem if removed. For now, make sure he's not too stressed or else it will make it worse." Lily nodded and thanked the doctor.

Ray and Jeffrey rushed into the room and Lily immediately shh-ed them. They looked relieved after seeing the President is safe.

"Did you find out what happened?" Ray asked.

"When I first went into his office, I didn't see him at all. Then I went up again few hours later and discovered he was lying on the ground. I don't know what happened." Lily sighed, "If I stayed with him, none of this would happened. I'm so stupid." Jeffrey patted her, "You did good. At least he's safe. We'll ask him when he's better. Ray and I still have stuff to do. Take care of him." He winked at her.

Lily stayed with Daniel until sunset. She sat on the chair beside him. She wiped away the sweat on his forehead and placed his hands under the blanket.

"I'm sorry, Daniel. It was my fault. I didn't look after you well enough. From now on, I won't leave you one step unless you tell me to go away."

That night, Lily laid on the mattress beside Daniel's bed. She turned on the phone noticed it was only 3AM. She tried to sleep but she kept on rolling and turning. She gave up and turned on the small desk light to start reading the papers that was given by Rachel. Few minutes later, Daniel groaned. Lily went over to Daniel and checked his temperature. It was fine. The numbers on the machine were all regular. She turned on Chopin's nocturne to help him fall asleep. She gently stroked his hair and touched the scar made by the gunshot. Even though, she was a doctor but she wanted to take away whatever pain Daniel was feeling. His past was just too much for him. Lily watched over him and fell asleep til morning came.

Lily went out to get breakfast while Daniel was still asleep. She called Ray to watch watch over him.

Daniel woke up feeling a bit woozy. He looked around him and saw Ray.

"Daniel, I'm so glad you're awake. You're in the hospital. Lily saw you fainted yesterday and she brought you here." Daniel was in a daze and nodded. He carefully took off the oxygen mask and Ray leaned in.

"Lily.... Lily...."

"She's getting breakfast. She will come soon." Ray made sure Daniel wasn't too worried.

Few minutes later, Lily came in with food. She placed them on the table and went over to Daniel. She smiled, "Finally, you're awake. You scared me yesterday. You need plenty of rest. No work for you in the next few days." Daniel looked at her but she rolled up the bed instead.

"I bought these egg tarts for you. You need to eat in order to have energy. Doctor's order." Ray looked them and smiled.

"Anything for me?" He said happily. Lily gave him an egg tart as well.

"You are the best, Lily." He ate happily. Daniel slowly ate the egg tarts and Lily filled up water in the clear plastic cup for him.

"How about you, Lily?" Daniel softly spoke.

"Me?" Lily pointed at herself.

"I'm okay. I ate already." She smiled at him. She doesn't want him to be worried anymore. He got enough on his plate.

"Daniel, the doctor said fresh air is good for you. I'll take you out for a walk. Don't worry, I'll push your wheelchair. You're still dizzy, right?" Daniel looked at her and slowly gave out a smile.

Lily cleared the stuff on the table and put it all back into her bag while Ray helped Daniel onto the wheelchair. Since Ray had a day off, he said bye first. Lily waved.

"Weather is great today." Lily talked to Daniel as she pushed the wheelchair into the hospital courtyard. The sunlight was bright so Lily had to wear a cap. Daniel wore his sunglasses so he wouldn't be easily recognized.

"How are you feeling?" She asked Daniel.

"Good." He replied.

"If you don't feel well, tell me and we'll go back." He nodded.

Suddenly, a group of people came near them and suddenly shouted at them:

"Daniel Kim, it's you! You're the murderer's son! You and your father should be in jail right now. And look at you, being so comfortable in the hospital. You should've died along with your father. Die, you bastard!" They started throwing food at him and Lily covered him making sure his head doesn't get hit.

"Daniel, don't listen to them. I'm alright. They will be angry for awhile. Don't take it personally. I promised I will stay by you." Daniel tried to stand up but dizziness hit him. They were both on the ground and security finally came to clear the area. Lily was relieved it was over. She felt nasty with all the food on her clothes. She protected Daniel from getting hit in the head by embracing him. Daniel slowly opened his eyes and held onto Lily.

"Are you still dizzy?" She asked. Daniel shook his head. Daniel stood up slowly and Lily supported him.

"You got hit because of me." Daniel tried to get rid of the food pieces on her cap. Lily stepped away and tried to wipe away stains with the tissue.

"It's fine. I have to wash up when I get back. I'll call Jeffrey to get me new clothes." Daniel suddenly took her hand and went into the hospital.

"Hey Daniel! Where are you taking me?" Daniel didn't talk.

"Answer me!" Lily shouted.

They stopped by a clothes shop and the employees bowed because Daniel is the President. As expected from Daniel. He had a cold aura around him that made other people feeling scared.

"Get her new clothes. My assistant will pay the money." The female employee asked Lily to choose the clothes she wanted.

"Daniel, you don't have to do this." Daniel didn't say anything.

"It's my fault you're like that. Or do you want me to fire you." Lily shook her head and followed them.

Few minutes later, after she washed in the private washroom in the room. She changed into the new clothes. It fitted her and it was very pretty. She came out after blowdrying her hair. Daniel went closer to her and used a towel to dry up her hair.

"It's still wet. Stay still. I don't my own physician to get sick." Lily stayed still until he was finished.

"Thank you, Daniel." Lily was grateful.

"No need." He shook his head.

"Were you hurt at all?" He asked.

"Just some scratches. It will be fine." She replied. He nodded, "That's good. Nothing too serious."

Lily went to Daniel and slowly pointed at his forehead, "It must be more painful for you." Daniel looked at her and Lily looked at him.

"Do I have something on my face?" Lily asked.

"No. Sorry." Daniel quickly turned away and folded the towel.

"When can I leave the hospital?" He asked Lily.

"Tomorrow." Lily replied.

He nodded but his heart was beating fast for her.
