Keep your friends close and Keep your Enemies closer

Daniel went to the office early in the morning without bring Lily. She woke up and Ray drove her to the office. As she went into the office, Jeffrey told Lily to go in.

Daniel was talking to Elizabeth since they made plans early in the morning. Lily greeted them and waited for Daniel to talk.

"Lily, you don't have to work as a private physician for me anymore. You can go back to the hospital or work in the medical office of your choice. Your full salary payment is here. Thank you for all this time." Lily bowed and left the office. She did not want to make any commotion. Lily went back to her office feeling kind of sad but relieved at the same time.

Lily was positive. She can find another way to go back to the company or just watching him in the shadows. She cleared her desk and stuff and went out in a taxi. Lily wants to go somewhere quiet.

She thought about Daniel. Did she fell in love with him? Her heart felt pain when she saw Daniel with Elizabeth. Well, they are first loves. Lily kept her head high. There are plenty more other guys around. But she couldn't forget about Daniel. Her eyes went blurry and had tears in her eyes.

She spent several minutes outside before heading home. She asked Jeffrey to bring her clothes and other stuff from Daniel's place to her house. Her house was pretty close in just a few bus stops.

As she stepped on the doorstep, she took a deep breath. She rang the doorbell and her aunt answered the door.

"Lily! You're back!" Her aunt and uncle were so happy to see her back.

"I heard so much about you. Rachel told us you were President Kim's personal physician." Lily nodded, "I got kicked out today. He had amnesia before... but it seems like he remembered his first love." Lily tried hard not to cry but she couldn't hold it in anymore.

"I'm sorry. I... I think I fell in love with him." Her aunt comforted her, "It's okay, dear. There's plenty of more men out there. Uncle and I can find another perfect guy for you." Lily cried non-stop. It hurts.

It's been several weeks after the incident, Rachel came by after hearing the news. She hugged Lily and told her not to worry about it.

Elizabeth and Daniel were seen together in the public. They were known as the power couple. They made it official that they were dating.

Lily forced herself not to read those news but she couldn't help it. Rachel told her if she still wants to work for Daniel, they can work together and bring down HK Group. Lily suddenly remembered a phrase: Keep your friends close and keep your enemies closer. Thanks to Rachel, Daniel must've used this method. Why didn't she think of this earlier.

That evening, Daniel and Elizabeth booked a hotel room and dinner was served in their room. After they said their cheers, they drank the red wine. Dinner was okay and they had desserts last.

Elizabeth sat on the couch drinking her white wine while crossing her slender legs and talked about how much she thought about him.

"After you woke up from your coma, I was abroad for a long time. I missed you everyday and thought about you everyday. I'm so glad you're mine tonight. Let's forget the past and enjoy tonight, okay? Don't forget, we have marriage arrangement. Okay? My little puppy?" Elizabeth leaned in to Daniel and kissed him. She kissed him deeply and touched his chest. They made out like a normal couple.

Next morning, Elizabeth woke up with someone else on the bed with her. She screamed. Daniel smirked as he watched the camera footage in the car. Ray looked at him, "I never knew you were this smart, Daniel." Jeffrey laughed, "I feel kind of bad for this random guy." Ray poked Daniel, "You kicked out Lily because you like her(Lily) right? You knew she couldn't date you because she was a physician herself." Daniel smiled, "You got me." Ray ooooh-ed and Jeffrey tried his best not to laugh at the cheesiness.

Daniel drove back to the office and news about Elizabeth spending the night with some other random guy were spreading everywhere. Ray complimented Daniel, "This is the best thing I've seen today." Jeffrey silently nodded and couldn't contain his laughter.

The news circulated among social medias and Tv shows. Elizabeth was so mad that she fired half of the employees who were working for her.

Elizabeth couldn't believe she fell for Daniel's trick. She was even scared of going out now. Reporters and camera flashes were everywhere.

Her scandal caused popularity decrease. Less people will find her to work for them. She got less chance to do modelling or filming. She was so pissed off and swore to revenge on Daniel.

Lily was in the hospital doing her rounds when the news circulated among the doctors and other staff members. People were talking shit about Elizabeth. Lily just focused on her work and focused on her patients.

Lily knew it was Daniel's doing because Jeffrey notified her. Jeffrey's text also included...

"Boss has feeling for you. That scandal was created by him."

Lily smiled and couldn't hide her happiness. She underestimated Daniel.
