3 Chapter 3 Freaking Thanos
After gathering myself to something presentable from the drooling mess that I was due to imagining myself crushing everything due to my invulnerability to elements and strong body, I started to check small things, like exchange rates for demon spirits and useful techniques. I found several.

[Soul Extracting Technique
Cost: 1600 SP
Use: Coat your fingers in Soul Force in special layering way to grab and extract Souls.]
Which, after checking with the system, can be used on demon beasts to get Demon spirits.
[Law Inspecting Eyes
Cost: 1200
Use: By channelling Soul Force in a special way, one can see the laws that govern the world and give form to the object.]
With this, I should be able to inspect what boons I would get when devouring that Demon Spirit.
[Reality Eye
Cost: 4000 SP
Use: Create a world where you, and only you could get into by being devoured by your own eye. Take some damage when entering. Time accelerated according to soul strength.]
A very convenient getaway, and who doesn't want to have a Kamui.
As for SP prices:
Bronze 1-5: 5 SP increment for every sub-realm.
Silver 1-5: 20 SP increment for every sub realm.
Gold 1-5: 100 SP increment for every sub realm.
Black Gold 1-5: 300SP increment for every sub realm.
Legend 1-5: 1000 SP increment for every sub realm.
When I noticed that the increase is not linear, and asked about it, I was surprised, to say the least, that when someone increases in rank, they lose some of their potentials, and so their value decreases by some amount. For example, if the human would still have all of the potentials, a Legend-1 star ranked human would be worth 3125 points instead of current 1000. That is a huge difference. Maybe that's why it's so hard to proceed to breakthrough from black gold to legend as humans did from bronze to silver.
So after asking the system, it helpfully provided that while I'm still subjected to those rules, I have some leeway, and so will be worth about 2500 points. That is still unacceptable. I can't lose a single point if I want to fight Sage-Emperor to some degree and have a chance at defeating him. And these are only mortal ranks. Imagine what happens above legend rank. So I asked System how I could avoid that. Luckily, it does have something for that.
[Undevided Heaven
Price: 6700
Use: Blocks in any force that is escaping user when he ranks up, including but not limited to, Soul Force, killing intent, Law energy.]
With that, I should be able to be, well, become more than enough worthy opponent for him.
But the number of points I would get also gave me an idea. What if I could see the points the person would give, and using the thing called 'brain' I would be able to decide whether he has potential or not. For example, if Gold 2-star would have above 200 points I would know that he is not ordinary to some degree. So I asked the system, again, if it's possible.
And it is.

And so, the ultimate observe was born. Together with [Law inspecting eyes], I will be able to know the value, potential, strength, weakness and power of the target. Muahahaha. No one can stop me!
*knock knock*
"Ah, yes. Come in."- I answered while wiping my drool.
" I'm back! Hey, Edo, I was able to get several hundred stones easily, but some people got suspicious so I had to stop. Sorry."- Yun Ling.
Ah, yes, I introduced myself as Edo Noctus. As I didn't know my last (past) name, I just thought of one on the spot. I know, not the coolest name, but when she called me Edo, it sounded sweet so I'll stick with it. I'm definitely not naming myself Long Shixue. I don't have have any need to compensate for something with a name that means Dragon.
"Wonderful, that's more than enough. Now I just need to see them."- I praised her.
" mhm, come, it's in the back."- She quickly said and showed me a small storeroom full of those stones. As the citizens didn't have any Special Rings, they needed to carry everything the pleb way.
'System, how do I convert them to SP?'
[You just need to put them to your inventory, and then select convert function.]
Ok. Then I'll just…wait.
"I'm sorry Yun-chan, but I have to do this on my own. It's a family secret."- I apologized to Yun Ling.
" O-Oh…well..i-its alright. Just yell when you need me."-she said as she exited the room.
'Dammit, she's so sweet, I'll definitely repay her. Who needs Nie Li's women when I can have such an angel.'
As I was thinking about how I should repay to her, I had an epiphany.
'System, I will lose potential without [Undevided Heaven] when advancing as a demon spiritualist, then what about a fighter?'
[Host shouldn't worry, although you will lose some talent, it will be the only talent that governs the physical body, and the loss will be negligible. Additionally, when advancing to a martial ancestor, your body will rot away and a new one, one that's comparable to your spirit will form, meaning host only needs to worry about not losing any talent in the spiritual aspect.]
Oh, okay, I thought that my plan just came down, fuu.
After getting a hundred stones in my inventory, I selected [convert] options and watched how the purple stone icon disappeared from my inventory, and then the SP(system points) got up and up and up. Finally stopping at 231 points.
'System?'
[Yes, host?]
'I'm rich, aren't I?'
[Yes, indeed.]
Muahahaha.
After getting ahold of myself, again, I started to convert the stones of batches of hundred. Every time I would get between 200 and 250 points.
Then remembering my plan, I stopped converting them and purchased [Purple Muscle Refining Array] for 50. I wonder why it was so cheap.
[Because it only can make use of Purple Smoke Stones, and the efficiency is also not the best.]
Oh, okay. Anyways, after purchasing the array, I got the knowledge requiring to make it. And shit was simple.
After putting all the remaining stones in my inventory, I exited the chamber and met up with Ling-chan.
"Heyo, thanks for the help, but I will need to leave for a while…" Seeing her visibly dim, I quickly added, "but I will be back this evening, okay?"
After making sure she won't be sad without my company by having some small talk with her, I started to walk to the outskirts of the village, towards the Black Swamp area, where no villagers dare to come in fear of beasts and poisonous gasses. Again, no villagers gave me a second glance, but the first one was always suspicious.
After finding a nice plain place, I started to put the stones in a certain pattern, needed to activate the formation. After a few minutes, I was done and stood in the middle and activated the array by crushing one stone in my hand, which was quite brittle apparently. The stones shone and started to emit sickly looking purple smoke with bits of dark and green specks. But after several seconds the extra colours were extracted and gathered in a designated spot, then pushed into one big, hard ball of poison, leaving royal looking purple smoke hovering around me. The shining intensified and the smoke started drifting towards me, more specifically my mouth. Oh, this will suck, Cthulhu level.
The smoke was rancid but didn't otherwise impede my breathing. After absorbing the smoke the array stopped shining as there was no more fuel, and the leftover stones, now pale blue, shattered.
Apparently, I later found out, the array was so cheap because it induced heavy nausea to whoever used it. Of course, I'm not dealing with that shit, so I let myself drift to sleep. Not the smartest decision in short life here, namely sleeping near a swamp which the locals fear, but one I was more than glad to accept of it meant not to have to deal with this nausea. And so, I drifted off to dreamlands to, well, dream.
I woke up with a start, hearing system's voice to wake the fuck up. At least it didn't say Samurai. I looked around: nothing. Everything's normal. Thank god, I don't know how I would have dealt with some Legend Rank beasts.
'System, why did you FUCKING SCREAM IN MY EAR?'

Sigh, okay, it has a point. Let's get back to her.

'Oh come on, I don't smell that bad.' I said as I sniffed myself just for the argument sake. And then I spotted it. It was not..hard to spot, but it just how the human brain works, namely ignores unexpected.
And I must say, having purple skin is pretty FUCKING UNEXPECTED. FUCK.

I hope it will wash off, or I'm strangling that fucking system.

Anyways, I started to travel towards the village, also searching for some kind of creek or body water. I was near a swamp, so it didn't take much time to find one.
After undressing I started to scrub myself with a sponge. Do you ask where I got one? Haha, a system for the win.
I also purchased some nicer clothes for twenty points, as the previous ones were ruined.
Finally, after coming back to Old Mans Yun Congee Shop, I greeted Ling-chan and asked for a bed discreetly. After being led to a room with a bed, apparently for guests, I was immediately captured by dreams for the rest of the night.
Apparently, being reincarnated, told you're the hope of humanity, not eating the whole day, being elevated to the silver Warrior rank, becoming Thanos makes beds really inviting.
