57 Chapter 56: Provisional Hero License Exam and New Challenger Approaching?

A week later...

[Kaede POV]

For the past week, I have been training non-stop to master my first form of Susanoo. For the first few days, it always results in Todoroki carrying me back. However, I was finally to summon it and not collapse from the soreness.

I also have been practising with Todoroki, and we even developed some combined special moves! One of those attacks was pretty destructive, and we were reprimanded because it was too dangerous.

Well, he scolded us for the attack being too hazardous; that doesn't mean we can't use it, right?..... Right?

Don't worry. We're not going to use it anytime soon though.

Our class has arrived at the Takoba National Stadium for our Provisional Hero License Exam. We were all pretty nervous, but Aizawa-sensei encouraged us to do our best and that by passing this exam, we will walk closer to the goal of being heroes.

We nodded at his encouragement and quickly huddled, promising each other that we would all pass! At this moment, a tall young man with dark brown hair and black eyes interrupted us.

"Hello, my name is Inasa Yoarashi! I'm from Shiketsu High School! It will be an honor to fight against the hero class of UA, and I wish you all the best of luck!" He said with a loud voice. He bowed so passionately that his forehead smashed into the cement floor.

"Uh, hi Yoatashi-Kun, I'm Kaede Uchiha. I wish you the best of luck as well!" I chirped happily.

[3rd POV]

Inasa raised his head when he heard a voice calling out to him. His eyes widened when he noticed Kaede. In Inasa's mind, the only word that could describe Kaede was simple: "Beautiful."

"Ah, your forehead's bleeding!" Kaede said with concern.

She gently touched his forehead and healed his wound. Inasa was in a trance as he watched at what he assumed to be an angel in front of him. He quickly snapped out of his daze and knelt on one knee and grasped Kaede's hands with his own. Kaede was surprised by his action as he gazed at her with vigor and passion.

"PLEASE GO OUT WITH ME!" He shouted, attracting everyone else's attention.

"WHAT!!!" Students in class 1A yelled with shock.

Hearing this, Kaede froze. Not knowing how to respond, she looked at Inasa's face and saw that love hearts replaced Inasa's eyes. However, Inasa was suddenly pushed back.

"Todoroki-Kun?" Kaede murmured with a confused tone as Shoto stood between her and Inasa.

"Leave her alone," Shoto demanded with a cold attitude.

For some reason, Shoto felt irked by Inasa's action and he was also slightly angry. Before Shoto realized it, he was already standing in between the both of them.

Inasa frowned: "You're Endeavour's son, right?" He asked.

"What about it," Shoto remarked.

"Your name, tell me....." Inasa said as he pointed at Shoto.

"Shoto Todoroki," He responded calmly.

"Todoroki, I challenge you to a battle between men. Whoever failed this exam won't interfere with the winner!" Inasa declared.

"Very well," Shoto instinctively replied, and Inasa nodded before walking back to his class.

There was silence as everyone was astonished by what they had just witnessed. All the male students were impressed by Inasa's boldness, while the female students were watching with stars in their eyes at the new potential gossiping materials.

"Interfere with what?" Kaede has broken the silence and asked.

Her friends just sighed and patted her shoulder. They were interrupted as the exam staff informed every student about changing into their hero costumes and going inside the stadium.

When they finished changing, they were led into a big room with a stage at the front. A man walked onto the stage and introduced himself as Yokumiru Mera of the Hero Public Safety Commission. He explained that there are one thousand five hundred forty students here today, and only one hundred will participate in the exam. So an elimination round will be conducted.

The elimination round's simple, everyone will be handed three targets they have to place on their bodies. They will then be given six balls to hit other people's targets. The targets will light up if they're hit, and you will be eliminated if the balls hit all three of your targets.

[Kaede POV]

The staff each handed us three targets and six balls, and I placed the target on the left side of my waist and shoulders.

Suddenly the walls inside the room started shaking, and the four walls collapsed. What greeted us was a vast field with different terrains such as a mountain, water, and urban-styled battleground.

As a class, we all went to a spot away from the other schools and reached a rocky terrain-like area.

"Everyone, we should stay together!" Midoriya suggested.

"I'm going alone! I don't want liability," Bakugo shouted as he walked away.

"Hold up, Bakugo-san!" Kirishima and Karminari yelled and chased after him.

"I will leave as well, my quirks are better if I'm on my own...." Todoroki said and he slid away with his ice in the opposite direction.

"You guys...." Midoriya muttered in a disappointed tone.

"I will go after Todoroki-Kun," I sighed.

Suddenly, someone threw an orange ball toward one of Midoriya's targets at a fast speed. My Sharingan activated, and times seemed to slow down. I instantly unsheathed my katana and slashed the ball in half before it reached him.

"Thanks, Uchiha-chan...." Midoriya was stunned that if I hadn't reacted a second earlier, he would've gotten hit.

"Stay on guard, everyone!" I declared before leaving them.

Todoroki had already gone pretty far, but I should be able to find him by following the ice trail. I reached a steel labyrinth area with pipes and pieces of machinery, and the ice trail stopped there.

The ground started to shake, and I stumbled from the earthquake. This tremor must be from that guy's quirk. What's his name again?

"Oh well, time to find Todoroki-Kun," I muttered. If my anime knowledge was correct, my friends should survive, so I don't have to worry about them.

[3rd POV]

While Kaede was looking for Shoto, in another place, Inasa was standing on top of a tall building looking down at multiple class students. He used his quirks and swept away all the balls the students were holding.

"I'm sorry, but you will have to be eliminated for me to win!" He shouted and Inasa gathered the ball high in the air and used his wind to blast all of the balls toward the examinee.

Before you know it, Inasa has single handily eliminated 120 students. He looked down and nodded with satisfaction before screaming at the sky.

"This is for Uchiha!" He happily declared.

Back to Kaede...

"Achoo! Was someone mentioning me?" Kaede mumbled to herself.
