Okashi's anger, Brother's disagreement, and Test!

Okashi was currently looking at Ria's peerage with his green eyes filled with anger. He then calmed down and said, "Rias, while some extra protection for my brother would be nice, I don't need it from the same women that was planning to let him die." "Wait a minute, what do you mean?! I never was going to let Issei die!" Rias exclaimed.

Issei, who didn't understand much of the conversation, asked his brother, "Okashi, what do you mean?" Looking at his brother, Okashi told him, "Issei, in the supernatural world, humans are mostly seen as weak creatures that are only meant to be controlled, but their are some exceptions, such as us. I am a human who has learned to use magic, you could say that I'm a magician. On the other hand, you dear brother, are a human with a sacred gear, a weapon bestowed by the Biblical God to humans so that they can protect themselves!" Okashi specifically mentioned the god from the bible to mess with the devils, as any mention of holiness instantly causes them terrible pain, proved by their grunts and pained expressions as they heard him finish his sentence.

Okashi then explained to Issei about the existence of Longinus. Pointing at the crimson haired Devil, Okashi exclaimed, "And this women was going to let Raynare kill you! Devils have a system known as the Evil Pieces System, using it, they can turn people into Devils by placing a Evil Piece inside you. Rias here was going to let Raynare kill you so that she could reincarnate you as a devil and have your Sacred Gear at her disposal!" Standing up, Rias said with an irritated tone, "Now wait a minute, even if I knew Issei had a Sacred Gear, you have no proof that I allowed Raynare to kill Issei!" Smirking, Okashi activated his All Seeing Eyes of the Gods, shocking everyone in the room.

Pointing at Okashi's eyes, Issei asked him, "What the hell is wrong with your eyes?!" "Issei, these are known as the All Seeing Eyes of the Gods. Using it's abilities, I am going to give you proof that Rias was going to let your murder happen." Okashi then stared directly into the eyes of Rias, using his eyes to see a repeat of last Saturday in Rias perspective. After getting the information, Okashi sent the memory to all people in the room besides Rias, shocking everyone in the room besides the Gremory and Akeno. Issei, angered by the sight, immediately yelled at Rias, "So my brother was right, you were going to let me die!" Realizing that her plan was foiled, Rias said in a guilty tone, "While I understand that I am in the wrong, I want to tell you that I had a good reason for what I did." Rias then explained about her engagement with Riser and what type of man he is, with Issei's face more angry as she described him. Even Okashi was slightly affected, but as he had already saw Riser in the anime, he was less angry then Issei.

By the end of her explaination, Ria's eyes were downcast and her face grew a sad expression as she said, "While I know my actions weren't the best, I couldn't just casually ask you if you wanted to join my peerage, as seen by Issei's previous reaction. And though I have no right to ask you of this, would you please still consider joining my peerage?" Before Okashi could say anything, Issei stood up and said with a confident smile, "Of course we will! How could we not after hearing your story?! Right little bro?" Hearing this, Rias peerage looked at Okashi in expectation.

Sighing, Okashi told him, "Issei, while her story is sad, I won't join her peerage. In fact, I don't want you to join either." Hearing this, Issei looked at Okashi in confusion as he asked, "W-what do you mean Okashi? Didn't you hear what she said? If we don't help her, she'll get married to that Riser bastard." Standing up, Okashi said with a serious face, "While I understand that she had her reasons, I still can't forgive her for letting you fall into the palm of that Raynare bitch." Clenching his fists, Issei said angrily at his little brother, "Okashi, she's obviously remorseful for what she did! Besides, I wouldn't have died right?! I just would have been reincarnated as a devil!" Gripping his brother's collar, Okashi angrily slammed his brother's body into the wall, alarming the devils. "Hey, he's your brother, why would you do that to him?!" Rias yelled at Okashi. Hearing this, the boy yelled at her, "Shut up you crimson haired bimbo, this is none of your business!" Issei yelled at him, "Don't you fucking call her that you asshole! Why do you even care so much anyway?! You've always been an asshole to people who just wanted to be friends with you, so why would you possibly care about me?!" Okashi answered with eyes on the verge of tears, "Because you're my big brother you dumb fuck! When we were younger, you always hung around me, even when nobody else liked me! You comforted me when Irina left! No matter how much of an asshole I was, you never stopped caring for me, so I made a promise to myself to protect you! A-and seeing you want to become a devil of Gremory was too much for me to handle!" At the end of his explanation, Okashi had calmed down.

Dropping Issei, Okashi turned around and said to Rias and her peerage, "I have a test for you all. If you're truly worthy enough to have me in your peerage, I want you all to fight me. If I see anything impressive enough for me, I'll join. Meeting place is at the back of the school tonight. If you don't impress me or don't come, I will remain human." Glancing at his older brother, Okashi told him in a dominant manner, "When I leave, don't try to find me Issei, just go back to class." He then walked out of the club room without another word. Using his [Strengthening Magic] on his legs, Okashi then jumped away from the school towards the park, as he was too mentally tired to focus on school right now.

As Issei was back in class, he was currently thinking about what Okashi had said to him. He knew that Okashi just wanted to keep him safe, so he felt guilty for his words, especially since they were towards his little brother. However, he was determined to help Rias against Riser, as he couldn't bear the thought of the girl he had a crush on being married to a perverted narcissist. Issei thought with a determined expression, "I don't care how difficult it it, I'm going to save Rias!"

At night, the Occult Research Club, Okashi, and Issei were standing in the back of the school for their battle. Okashi asked them, "Are you ready devils of Gremory?" "Yes," they shouted. Turning his head towards Issei, Okashi told him, "If you're going to be part of the supernatural world, I want you to know that this little test will pale in comparison to other fights in this world."

Lighting his right hand aflame with his [Fire Magic], Okashi charged towards Kiba with a fist. Seeing this, Kiba used his sacred gear, Sword Birth, to create two short swords to block. Okashi then jumped over his head and kicked Kiba towards Koneko who caught him in her arms, dropping the swords along the way. As he was about to come over to them, Okashi quickly jumped back, dodging a bolt of lightning from Akeno. Looking at her, Okashi smirked as he used his [Explosion Magic] to quickly make his way towards her. He threw a punch at her face, pushing her back a little. He then rapidly kicked her in the head, kneed her in the gut, and finished her off with a palm to the back, sending her flying!

Seeing this, Kiba shouted, "Akeno!" and quickly ran to Okashi with a steel claymore. Okashi pointed his hand at the weapon and shouted, "Steal!" His hand glowed a blue light and, to Kiba's suprise, the claymore he was holding was now in Okashi's hand. The shock of Okashi's ability gave him enough time to smack Kiba into the ground with the claymore, only hitting him with the flat side as to not kill him, but incapacitate him.

He then made his way towards Koneko, but he abruptly stopped when Rias threw a ball of Destruction where he was going. He then easily dodged rapid fire balls of destruction from Rias, who was suprised by his agility. When the balls stopped, Okashi ran at Koneko with full speed. Since his speed was too high, Koneko could only defend as he gave her a combo of punches, kicks, and elbows. In fact, the only reason she wasn't unconscious was due to her high strength and endurance as a rook piece. Taking a page from Bakugo's book, Okashi created explosions under his hands and flew into the air while spinning. As he started coming back down, Okashi's explosions became even stronger, as he yelled at Koneko, "Howitzer Impact!" He then threw the explosions at Koneko, which created a smoke cloud, which would have alerted people if they were around. When the dust cleared, Okashi was standing above an unconscious Koneko who's clothes were ripped and dirty.

Seeing her rook in such a bad state, Rias yelled, "Beating her that badly was unnecessary!" Looking at her, Okashi told her, "Don't worry, I'll heal all of your peerage after this, but right now, you should be more focused on yourself." Okashi then activated his All Seeing Eyes of the Gods, using it's illusion abilities to make Rias think he created lots of clones of himself. The illusion clones ran at Rias, who kept shooting rapid fire balls of destruction at them, all while Okashi slowly walked behind Rias. As she destoryed the final illusion clone, she became relieved as she thought the fight was over. "There's no way that he could make that many clones and not be tired. Wait a minute, where's Okashi?!" Her eyes widened as Okashi said from behind her, "Game Over Gremory." He then chopped her on the neck, knocking her out.

After Okashi defeated the Occult Research club, he and Issei dragged them back into their club room. Okashi then bought 10 senzu beans from the [Store] for 100 system points. As the devils woke up, Okashi gave each of them a senzu bean to eat. While they didn't know where they came from, the devils decided to trust Okashi, and they were rewarded for that. All the damage from their spar were healed, much to the suprise of Issei and the Gremory peerage. Rias, who was curious about the beans, asked Okashi, "Where did you get these beans Okashi?" "That is for me to know, and you to find out. By the way, I should tell you the results of our sparring match." Hearing this, all the people in the room looked at Okashi in anticipation, but there faces quickly became downcast when he told them, "You've failed your test. While you're teamwork and individual attack power was good, your weaknesses were too easy to find out, which made me easily take you all down. While your performance was good, it was not enough to even make me get a mark on my clothes, thus, you didn't impress me." Looking at Rias, Okashi told her in an annoyed tone, "While I understand that you're sad for not getting me on your peerage, you should remember that my elder brother will still join you. And let me remind you, never mistreat him or I will-" He was about to continue his sentence when Issei gave him a look that said, 'don't be an ass', making him stop his sentence with a "Tch!"

That night, Rias reincarnated Issei as her pawn, much to his chargin, and to his brother's amusement. To make it up to him, Rias helped Issei unlock his Sacred Gear. It was currently in Twice Critical form, and while it wasn't that powerful, it did look good. It was a fingerless red gauntlet with a green jewel in the middle, and had yellow spikes coming out of the sides. Rias then explained to him about devils, the rankings, and the Pillars. Issei, as in the canon, announced his dream to become a harem king, much to the amusement of his brother and the Gremory peerage except Koneko, who just looked at him in disgust. Looking at the two boys, Rias said, "Okashi, Issei, welcome to the Occult Research club. We hope you have a good time with us." The boys then walked back home, since it was already night and they didn't want to worry their parents by not being their in the morning.

As they went into their room, Okashi told Issei, "Brother, I hope you understand what you've just done. You're no longer human, you've forsaken your humanity to become the pawn of a devil and your life will never be normal for as long as you live." Looking at his younger brother, Issei told Okashi with a determined smile, "Okashi, while I know you're worried about me and just want to keep me safe, I want you to know that I'm happy with my decision. I couldn't bear the thought of Rias becoming the wife of that Riser asshole, it would completely step on my pride as a man to let that evil bastard touch her! Besides, if I become a High Class Devil, I can get my very own harem!" Hearing his last reason, Okashi looked at Issei with a deadpan face, shrugged his shoulders and went to sleep, where Apex would have a serious conversation with him.
