3 The Battle of Kings

As Ghorsha leaves the throne room, the Orc King takes out his own greatsword, though his being a bit bigger then the Elven Kings, and he wields it fairly well with only one hand, as well. "Are you ready? To meet the Reapers, that is."

"If I am to die, then I'm taking you down with me." The Elven King replies, then instructs his guards nearby to take care of the Orc soldiers, so that he can focus on the Orc King.

"We'll just see about that." As the Elven guards and Orc soldiers battle, the Orc King then starts to walk calmly towards the Elven King, then rushes him once closer, and raises his greatsword, bringing it down for a quick but heavy strike.

The Elven King just barely manages to block it with his own greatsword, the two swords clashing in a spray of sparks. "You're definitely much stronger then the last time we fought." He seems to struggle a bit under the Orc Kings strength, but then manages to kick him away just enough to be able to get a horizontal slash in.

Though the Orc King is also more nimble as well, managing to dodge enough so that the slash only cuts into his armor. "You've also refined yourself. But I've got more to me then you realize." The two kings exchange blows some more, each strike generally being countered by the other fairly easily. "I've had enough of this, this is going nowhere." He steps back a bit, charging up a dark colored magical energy in his greatsword.

"What? That's not possible. Orcs aren't capable of wielding shadow magic." The Elven King then quickly starts trying to put a barrier up around himself, knowing that he won't be able to dodge of block it, though he's not too proficient in protective magics, so it's a bit slow going, and not that strong.

"Really? Well then, I suppose that I can't do this, either, then, hm?" After building enough energy up, he slashes at the air, sending a long blade of dark energy flying towards the Elven King.

The magical blade of dark energy hits the Elven Kings barrier, easily shattering it with little effort, then hitting him with what's left after breaking his barrier. Though the wound itself isn't too life threatening, the dark energy from the dark blade now seeps through his body, acting almost as if it were a poison, his veins now with a blackness spreading through them.

The Orc King just laughs at this. "You've not got much longer, now. You're not even worth killing with my blade, at this point. You can barely even stand, can't you?"

"...How? How are you able to use shadow magic?" The now weakened Elven King questions him.

"Well, I suppose, since you're going to be dead soon enough anyways. I made a new... let's just call him a friend, for now, recently. He's very eager to meet your son. Oh, but he's not even really your son, is he? That's why you've always resented him. But you couldn't just get rid of him, because he looked so much like you, to begin with." The Elven King just seems surprised at hearing this. "Want to know how I know? Simple, really. My friend told me the truth, he knows so much that you wouldn't even be able to comprehend. He's a very special boy, you know. One who is very important to my friends plans. So there's no need to worry, we won't harm the boy. Not enough to kill him, at least. But I can't exactly promise the same safety to his bodyguard. I know he cares for her, more then you or the queen, even. You really are such poor parents, putting it mildly, at least. But now the boy won't even have to bother worrying about you two, anymore." He just smile evilly at him now.

The Elven King just collapses soon after, still alive, but just barely. And the Elven royal guards have also been defeated, though not without a few losses on the Orcs side, too.

Not long after, Ghorsha returns to the throne room, seeing the aftermath of the battle. She heads over to the Orc King. "Your highness, the Elven queen has been dealt with, sir."

"Good. And the boy?"

"...We can't find him, sir." Contrary to how she usually acts, she now seems a little nervous, standing in front of the Orc King, with the unpleasant news. He seems to have that effect on most people.

"What!? We need him in order to proceed with the plans!"

"Yes, sir, but... We believe that he may have fled before we even arrived here. We're currently trying to find where they fled to, and how."

"Hm... There must be some sort of secret passage within the palace. Search every room, every brick, anything that seems suspicious. I want him found. Get all the soldiers on it, if you have to." The Orc King orders, angry with this new development, though surprisingly not as angry as Ghorsha would have predicted.

"Yes, your highness." Ghorsha then heads off again, seeming rather relieved that the Orc King hadn't gotten so angry as to actually kill his own Orcs. Which he has done, in his kingly temper tantrums, in the past. Though Ghorsha has noticed that the Orc King does seem to be a bit more collected recently, even if his temper does still show, every now and then.

"The boy will not be able to hide for long." He then picks the dying Elven King up by the neck. "Too bad that you won't get to see him end the world." And with a smirk, he just starts to crush the Elven Kings neck in his large and strong hand, soon dropping the bloodied body on the ground, the red blood swirled with a darkness inside, the darkness still spreading to the rest of the blood, even as it pools on the floor.
