Prologue

Cassie is the daughter of Alaric and Emma Stone. She just turned 22 years old. She has a younger brother. His name is Charlie. He is 14 years today. Their parents, Alaric and Emma Stone died 2 months before in a car accident in Los Angeles. They were on a family trip. So basically Cassie and Charlie were there when it happened. After the accident, the people around got Cassie and her brother out of the car. But they were too late to save their parents. Cassie was unconscious, but Charlie was still awake. He saw his parents burn in the car fire. He is still in indescribable pain even after the accident happened 2 months ago. The screams of his parents make him in a constant state of fear that if he might end up in the same fate, after that, he started having nightmares about the most unusual stuff ever. Dark, supernatural stuff.

They moved to California to live with their Aunt Claire. They stayed for 2 months as it was summer vacation for Charlie. Aunt Claire told some family secrets to Cassie a week before summer vacation ended. Claire explained that their family is cursed by evil. That her parents stopped the darkness, and before banishing the darkness, it put a curse on her beloved parents.

Cassie who is hearing all this for the first time freaked out as her parents didn't explain any of these things before they died. She went insane as she heard the unbelievable. Clare tried her best to make her believe and warned her to be careful. But Cassie packed up and stormed off from the house back to Los Angeles with her brother the very next day.

They were on their way back home. But what they didn't know was that there was a way for mysterious creatures to come back into the living world. That they were in danger and everything they love would be obliterated soon.

The darkness will slowly consume the light everywhere and vanquish anything that comes in its path if it's not stopped. Someone has to stop it before it takes control and brings ravage to the world.
