17 How to be stupid?

We both ran into the bushes on either side of us. Then we saw the rouge walking towards the tree that was right behind us. Then the rouge kneeled when he was near the tree and brushed off the dry leaves and took something. I couldn't see what it was, so I peeked through the bush to see what the rouge took, but I kinda also drew his attention towards me as well.

He got up and walked towards the bush I was hiding in. I saw that he was holding a rifle. FOR GOD SAKE HOW DID WE NOT SEE THAT NEAR THE TREE THAT WAS BEHIND US?? Well, One thing for sure, this rouge can hide stuff pretty nicely.

The rouge walked towards with his bow slightly pointed just above the ground towards the bush. I was frustrated. If I move even a little bit, the arrow would probably go through my forehead. I didn't want that. I didn't know what to do. I was literally like a stone at the moment.

Immediately, Denim took a stone and threw it towards the tree which drew the rouge's attention. The rouge who was startled turned back and saw nothing. Then like out of the blue Denim jumped out the bush onto the rouge and slit the rouge's neck. The rouge fell on the grass and caught the attention of the other rouges near the warehouse.

We immediately laid down on the grass and peeked.

"Jonah you bastard, if it's you, stop playing and come down here DAMN IT!! or else I swear to god---" the rouge in command stopped in between while he was saying.

We were both confused as fuck so we peeked a little bit more and saw that the rouge doesn't have his head. Then the rouge dropped down and blood gushed out of his neck. All the rouges got silent and to be honest we did too, I mean we weren't saying anything anyway, anyways you know what I mean.

The startled rouges were scared, but, they didn't run like cowards. To be honest I was kinda happy they didn't, because of the courage they showed after their second in command just lost his head.

"This is our chance, you run and distract them, in that time I will snap their necks and kill them," he said immediately and was about take-off but I grabbed his arm and stopped him.

"NO, WHAT IF THE THING THAT TOOK THAT ROUGE'S HEAD TAKES YOUR'S AS WELL?" I said.

"We have no other choice, I guess after that I will kill that thing myself," he said furiously because I stopped him from going.

"Denim, I can't let you do that. IT'S TOO RISKY!!" I said back in the same tone.

(SLASHING AND NECK CRACKING SOUNDS)

The sound of slashing and neck's cracking drew our attention. We peeked again and I was in awe of what I saw. It was Drake. He didn't flee Crystal Woods. He came here to see Fiona and take control over her no matter how risky it is. He was fighting for his family. He proved to me that he can be trusted and will do anything to protect his own.

I saw that he had already killed 7 rouges and there were only 7 more rouges. He was right in the middle. He was surrounded by the rouges who were surrounded by their dead friends. They were furious. They were filled with anger, eyes and face read, fists clenched. They were ready to tear Drake apart. Maybe Drake was looking for a perfect time to attack the rouges. Well, he kinda managed to kill 7 of them. Well, now he is trapped and we have to help him.

"QUICK, I WILL DISTRACT THEM. YOU GET THEM FROM BEHIND. HE WON'T BE ABLE TO MANAGE THEM ALL" I quickly said to Denim and stood up immediately before he could say anything.

I exposed myself. Now there's no turning back. The rouges saw me. I slowly walked towards them and shouted to gain their attention towards me more so that they won't ignore me and go on with trying to kill Drake,

"Woah!!! HEY HEY!! WAIT WAIT... LISTEN TO ME BEFORE YOU DO SOMETHING STUPID AND GET YOURSELVES KILLED. COME NEAR ME AND I SWEAR TO GOD I WON'T HESITATE TO SNAP YOUR NECKS!!" I said it with my furious and fearless tone. I felt like I was a badass lady to be honest. I was proud of myself and I also kinda peed as well cuz I was scared as fuck.

"CASSIE??? WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING HERE???" asked Drake knowing that I was being stupid and doing something that could get me killed.

''Now listen to me you bitches, in a few minutes this place will be surrounded Fenetics. So I don't think they would be happy to see you rouges just after they got attacked by vampires. So I say it's better if you took off and leave my friend here alone." I said.

"Aww, that was cute. You gotta be better than that to scare us off with your lies." said the rouge who was the nearest to me. He walked to me slowly.

"I know who you are Cassie. Your the one who Drake saved that night. The one who Drake seemed to love I say. You are just a petty human of course. What possible thing can you do, eh?" He said with a grin taking a small knife from his back pocket aka pocket knife I think.

"STAY RIGHT THERE!! I MIGHT BE A NORMAL HUMAN YOU WOULD BE ABLE TO KILL, BUT I AM NOT BORN USELESS. I MAKE MY SELF USEFULL IN EVERY DAMN SITUATION. AND NOW I AM GOING TO PROVE IT TO YOU." I cried in anger. I picked up a stone that was next to me on the ground and threw it up with as with much of the power I had.

Everyone looked at the stone that was up high and in that time everyone was distracted looking at the useless stone I threw up, I ran as fast as I could. But I didn't run much because it just took like 7 seconds for the stone come back down, so the rouge who saw me running threw his pocket knife lighting fast to me and it pierced into my back. Well, I didn't think I would be able to escape from him, but doing something is better than doing nothing. I stumbled down and laid on the ground as I couldn't run due to the immense pain in my back because of the knife that literally inside me. I cried in pain. Not knowing what to do I cried for help which was kinda embarrassing to be honest but also not cuz what else can I do??
