5 The String of Truth

Bella woke up to find Jenny and Edward by her side. Jenny recounted how Edward had taken care of her the previous night. The trio sat down to enjoy mugs of coffee, savoring the warmth and comfort it brought.

After some time, Jenny suggested planning a picnic in the woods, which excited everyone. She decided to invite both James and Edward, wanting to spend quality time with all of them. Jenny took Bella to rest while she left with Edward to visit his clinic.

During their journey, Jenny shared everything she had learned from the diary and the strange occurrence from the previous night. Edward expressed concern, stating that it was not good news and advised Jenny to be cautious. He also mentioned that James was recovering well and expressed James' desire to meet her. Jenny felt conflicted, asking Edward not to reveal anything to James. Her mind was filled with questions, but she decided not to burden Edward with them at that moment.

Upon arriving at the clinic, James greeted Jenny, showing signs of improvement. However, he still required therapy and needed to continue drinking blood to regain his strength. After their visit, Jenny went to the woods, seeking solace under a tree, trying to collect her thoughts.

As the wind rustled through the leaves and birds chirped overhead, Jenny found herself lost in a daydream. In her dream, she saw a young girl playing with her, both radiating happiness. But suddenly, the scene changed, and the girl lay lifeless on a blood-soaked bed. A man in white stood in the corner, his shirt stained with blood. Jenny noticed herself in the dream, taking off a ring from her finger and casting a spell that trapped the man. She then heard a voice that abruptly awakened her.

Startled, Jenny screamed, only to find a wolf standing nearby, staring at her. She locked eyes with the wolf, feeling a strange connection. Suddenly, the wolf began screaming as if someone were forcefully compelling it to harm Jenny against its will.

Just as Jenny feared for her safety, a girl appeared, wielding a wand and using it to stop the wolf, protecting Jenny. Jenny expressed her gratitude, inquiring about the girl's identity. The girl introduced herself as Ahona, claiming they were friends. Jenny, pressed for time, thanked Ahona before leaving.

Ahona gave Jenny a locket, instructing her that whenever she needed help, she could touch the locket and call her. Jenny expressed her gratitude and departed. She headed straight to Edward's clinic, intending to share her dream with him. However, upon arrival, she found herself unable to recall the purpose of her visit, leaving her utterly clueless.

Jenny confided in Edward, explaining her predicament and mentioning the importance of her dream. Edward suggested that they try hypnosis therapy to uncover the truth. Jenny agreed, and they decided to commence the therapy the following day. She chose not to inform anyone about the therapy.

Returning home, Jenny prepared dinner and invited James and Edward to join her. Bella was surprised by the preparations, and the table was set for a special guest. Intrigued, everyone eagerly awaited the arrival of the mysterious visitor.

When the doorbell rang, a girl named Jessica entered, introduced by Ahona. The atmosphere brimmed with joy, except for Edward, who seemed uneasy around Ahona. The group enjoyed their time together, though Edward's discomfort was palpable.

As the party came to an end, Edward and Ahona were nowhere to be found. Jenny found it hard to accept that they had simply left without a word. She attempted to contact them, but received no response. Exhausted, everyone returned home. It was late, and Jenny asked James to spend the night with her.

Throughout the night, they engaged in deep conversations. Early the next morning, they set out to visit Edward. However, upon arriving at the clinic, Edward was absent, leaving behind a letter addressed to James and Jenny. The letter contained a cryptic message, hinting at an endless journey and the pursuit of truth. It urged them to rely on their love and fight for the answers they sought.

James and Jenny stood in confusion, struggling to comprehend the situation. All they desired was to see Edward, their only family, and they refused to lose him at any cost. Fatigued and hungry, James ventured back to the village to gather food, while Jenny contemplated the recent events.

As she sat alone, Jenny recalled her heritage as a daughter of a witch, realizing that she possessed powers like her mother. She understood that she had to learn to control and enhance her abilities on her own. Seeking guidance, Jenny meditated in the woods, immersing herself in nature's energy. Returning to the house in the woods, Jenny prepared dinner while awaiting James' arrival. When the doorbell rang, she rushed to open it, expecting to find James. To her surprise, James stood unconscious, clutching a book titled "THE BLACK HEART." A letter in his pocket explained that his soul had been offered as collateral in the Witchious Jungle, a world of witches he had secured for Jenny. The letter revealed her lineage as a hybrid with the powers of a witch, vampire, and human, urging her to explore and control her abilities. James assured her of his support and bestowed upon her his powers, leaving her a pendant as a guide. The letter detailed a journey through lessons in the book, promising that upon completion, James' soul would be freed.

Overwhelmed, Jenny absorbed the weight of the revelation. She understood that she was not alone, with James forever at her side. However, the path ahead was uncertain, and she yearned for a reunion with Edward. With their love and James' guidance, she believed they could overcome any obstacles. Together, they vowed to fight for the truth and face the challenges that lay ahead.
