1 The Beginning

"Time: 12 am Midnight, the Year 2089"

Dante is laying on his bed listening to music.

Dante: "I Can't sleep even though I have school tomorrow. Fuck it, I'm going for a walk a bit. I better sneak out, don't wanna wake up my mom."

It's very quiet at this time of the night. It's like time stopped moving, and yet, here I am, skipping school and sneaking out of the house at midnight. I can't wait until I'm 18 and move to High City. Where big dreams become reality.

Dante: "Sighhh, It's getting cold and very late. I better go back home and sleep."

"Time: 7:00 AM Morning"

Dante's mom is calling for him to wake up and prepare for school.

Mom: "DANTE, DANTE WAKE UP YOU GOING TO BE LATE FOR SCHOOL."

Dante opened his eyes and looked at his holographic clock.

Dante: "Aghhh Fuuck, I shouldn't have stayed up late."

Mom: "DANTE I SAID WAKE UP!"

Dante: "I AM UP MOM!"

Mom: "Brush your teeth and come eat breakfast before going to school."

Dante: "Damn my head hurts. Well, I better get to it before she starts yelling again."

After eating breakfast, Dante went to school.

Dante: 'Yawns' "Screw it, I'm gonna sleep during class. It's not like my teacher cares or anything. "

As He was walking to school It started raining slightly. He heard his best friend Jake calling for him like he always does in the morning.

Jake: "Ayy yo Dante, what's up man?"

Dante: "Nothing much just the usual."

Jake stopped and looked at Dante.

Jake: "Damn, why gotta be like that?"

Dante: "Huh? Like what?"

Jake: "BORING! No wonder girls don't talk to you man. YOU HAVE TO BE MORE ENERGETIC, MORE... YOU KNOW, OUT THERE!"

Dante: "You know, I don't have time for that crap. Besides, I don't want a girlfriend from this town. You know I'm planning to move to High city after school right?"

Jake "Here we go again with High city, are we too boring for you now. Mr.Big City?"

Dante wasn't in the mood to argue with Jake early in the morning.

Dante: "Just forget about it. You won't understand, let's just go to school."

He slept through most classes. He really didn't want to pay attention to the teacher, so he just stared through the window next to his seat. Dante noticed shadow figures in the sky, flying above the town.

Dante "Huh? Are those people FLYING? NO WAY I MUST BE DREAMING!"

"TEACHER LOOK!!" Said a girl from his class.

Everyone in his class ran outside to see the flying shadow figures. Not him. Dante got this bad feeling that something bad was about to happen, and He's not going to stick around to find out. He quickly grabbed his bag, called Jake, and started running to his house.

Dante: "I have to warn my mom, she's alone in the house."

Dante heard Jake screaming "DANTE LOOK UP!!"

He looked up and saw the shadow figures raising their hands and creating a huge fireball that started coming down from the sky. As the fireball was about to hit the ground.

Dante shouted, "JAKE WATCH OUT!!"

At that moment Dante's life changed forever. In a second everything turned bright and he felt the air burning around him. He couldn't see anything. All He saw was a huge explosion before losing consciousness.

Dante felt something heavy on him as he started gaining his consciousness back.

Dante: "AGHHH! Fuck my head hurts aghh. I feel something heavy on me."

He saw Jake's body lying motionless on him. "Jake move away. Wake up Jake, I said wake... up."

He couldn't believe his eyes. Jake's body was without its head. Blood was all over him. He started freaking out and screaming his best friend is dead. The entire town was destroyed and on fire.

Suddenly, Dante remembered his mom. Dante started running as fast as he could while blood was falling from his head. Dead bodies were everywhere, houses destroyed, but he kept hoping that his mom was safe.

He arrived at his house and fell on his knees. Dante's entire house was destroyed and on fire. His worst fear became a reality. He ran between the fire and rubble to look for his mom.

Dante: "MOM!! WHERE ARE YOU? MOM, CAN YOU HEAR ME? FUCK! Where is she? Huh? is that a hand?"

He Moved the rubble only to find his mom's dead body crushed under the house rubble.

Dante: "NO, NO, NO, NO, NO, MOOOOOM!."

Tears started falling from his eyes as Dante was screaming and punching the ground.

Dante: "MOM, YOU CAN'T DIE ON ME LIKE THIS!"

As the flame took over her body and the house. The entire city looked like hell on earth. Minutes later, the defense force arrived. Army trucks and air units were everywhere. A dark cloud appeared, and heavy rain started falling.

Everything was a blur to Dante. He sat down in the rain, alone, and his head down. Something dark awakened inside him. He felt like fire was burning inside his heart. The anger, the sadness, the fact that he lost everything dear to him.

Dante: "I'll find who's responsible and I will have my revenge. I'll Kill Them All!"
