9 Anori Town

After days of traveling. Dante finally arrives at Anori Town

Dante: "It's been so long since I've been in a town. Master Rex said something about ships port. I'll go ask around for this Ray guy."

Dante went around the town asking for Ray, but nobody seems to know him. After hours of searching and asking around, Dante decided to call it a day. While Dante was walking looking for a place to stay the night, someone suddenly pointed a gun behind his head.

Ray: "I heard, you were running around the town asking for me. Who are you? who sent you?"

Dante: "My name is Dante, and you must be Ray."

Ray: "Who told you my name? only a few people know my real name. Talk, before I blow your head to pieces."

Dante: "Master Rex sent me, he told me to look for you in Anori Town."

Ray: "Rex? That old guy is still kicking around? Fine, follow me, Dante. Let's go talk."

"Dante followed Ray to a secret hide-out"

Ray: "Just to make sure, you weren't being followed right?"

Dante: "Umm, no? Why would I be followed?"

Ray: "Because I'm wanted, why do you think I'm hiding in the piece of shit place? People are looking for me, man."

Dante: "You mean the police? Are you like a criminal or something?"

Ray: "No, I'm not worried about the police. Anyway, forget about it. It's not your problem. Tell me now, why would Rex send you to me?"

Dante: "He told me to give you this key."

Ray tries to grab the key, but Dante moves his hand back

Dante: "Not so fast. He also told me that you can get me inside High City."

Ray: "Hahaha are you crazy? How am I supposed to get you inside high city?"

Dante: "He told me that you have connections. He also told me that you owe him a favor."

Ray: "How old are you? You look very young."

Dante: "I'm 17, is that a problem?"

Ray: "17? What the hell is Rex planning? kid tells me."

Dante: "Nothing, I'm the one who wants to go to high city. I have my own reasons."

Ray: "Fine, but give me the key first, and don't blame me for whatever happens to you, man."

Dante: "I don't care, just get me there, it's all I'm asking, please."

Ray: "All right, you look tired, you can crash here for the night. I'll go talk to my 'connections' I'll be back later. don't wait for me."

Dante: Ok, Thank you.

Dante falls asleep immediately. He was tired from the journey.

"Next Day 11:00 AM"

Dante: "Aghh, I overslept. I feel much better, though, I was tired as hell. Huh! where's Ray? Did he run away? Dammit! Dante you idiot."

Ray: 'Opens the door' Relax kid. I didn't run away. I'm not that type of person. I always keep my promises. Anyway, I talked to a few people and I got you a ticket to high city.

Dante: "Really? Thank you."

Ray: "But, there's a piece of good news and a piece of bad news. Which one do you want first?"

Dante: "What? I guess, the good news first."

Ray: "Well, the good news is you get to leave to high city tonight. The bad news is that it's not going to be pretty."

Dante: "What do you mean?"

Ray: "Well, Let's just say you are being smuggled alongside other people on a ship to high city."

Dante: "Smuggled? isn't that illegal? What if we get caught?"

Ray: "Listen, kid, this is the only way. Didn't you tell me that you didn't care, that you just wanted to get there? Well, this is the only way I can get you there."

Dante: "Fine, What time are we leaving tonight?"

Ray: "We? There's no we. I told you I'm wanted. I'm not going back to high city. You are on your own kid. I did my part."

Dante: I guess I'll prepare for tonight then."

Ray: "Head to the port at 8:00 pm. You'll see a blue ship. Tell them Ray sent me and don't be late. They're not going to be waiting for you."

Dante: "All right. I'll make sure to get there early."

Ray: "Listen, Kid. I don't know what business you have in high city, and I'm not going to ask. Just make sure not to mess with the wrong people. It's not worth it."

Dante: "It's too late for that. I've already made up my mind a long time ago."

Ray: "Stay Safe kid and good luck."

'Anori Ports, 7:30 pm'

Dante arrives at the ports and walks to the blue ship.

Guards: "Stop!! This is an off-limit area, go back now."

Dante: "Ray sent me. I'm Dante, I've been told to come here before 8 pm."

Guards: "Wait 'call someone' Fine, get inside fast."

Dante gets inside the ship. Someone approaches him.

Ship captain: "You must be Dante? Ray told me about you. Follow me, please."

Dante follows the captain to the back of the ship. There's a small hatch door with a ladder that leads down.

Ship Captain: "This is your room. You'll stay here alongside other people until we get near high city borders. A smuggling boat, we'll be waiting for you when we get there. Got it?"

Dante: "How long is it going to take us to get there?"

Captain: "usually it takes us around 1 week to get to high city on this ship. Now get down, we're about to leave. We don't want you to be seen."

Dante climbs down the ladder as the captain closes the hatch door.

Dante: "Woha! there's a lot of people here. I'm really being smuggled to high city. I can't believe this is really happening. It's too late to turn back now."
