Three days later

"Yes. Ye- oh, absolutely. It's okay, take your time. Just text me the results."

Genevieve ended the call with the forensic scientist just in time, when she heard the high-pitched squeal from a speaker nearby. She looked towards the commissioner as he tapped on the microphone twice.

The female officer was standing in the midst of the city square. An outdoor press conference was being held right now, with the two addressors being DI Owen Miller and the Chief of Police. They were seated and a table was placed before them. Two microphones sat on top. The commissioner leaned towards the one nearest to him, so his voice could reach even the furthest of the spectators.

A large crowd consisting of the city's residents had been gathered at a distance from them. Their outstretched arms held smartphones which were ready to film, and their uneasy anticipation was quite evident on their faces.
