A smile of happiness graced Genevieve's lips. She couldn't think of the last time she felt this ecstatic. Even as she walked towards a holding cell in the police station, the cheerful expression on her face refused to drop.

"You harm even a single hair on her head, and I will raze this place to the ground!"

She greeted the DI and a fuming Jake Ernsbrooke, who stood near the door that consisted of metal bars. Owen flashed her a knowing grin, before he nodded his head to gesture for her to get started. She didn't need to be told twice.

Genevieve didn't know why or how, but she felt as though he understood her inner turmoil. Dare she say, he might even relate to it.

The door of the holding cell opened with a loud creak when she pulled on it, and she stepped inside to take in her surroundings.
