119 Chapter 118 - Marquis Andrew's treasure

Aile was sure now that the beast ahead would have definitely injured the assassin and Marcus to some degree. He was also happy that the conversation had changed from the White Clan to Arnold flirting and showing off. If the people that fought the beast return, they will not suspect anything.

A few more minutes passed, and Aile tried to extend his senses to try to sense the fight, but he failed.

While they were not moving, he could sense them, but once they moved, Aile's senses could not keep up with Hunter and the old person. He also could not figure out who used the lightning attack. He noticed that the assassin and Marcus were breathing and alive.

After a few minutes, the sound of the fighting died down, and Aile discerned that everyone returned. The assassin and Marcus were injured.

The assassin had blood leaking out of his shoulder, while Marcus had a large hole in his left hand. There were many more wounds on them, but the worst were these.

Hunter and the old man's clothes seemed ruffled, as they carried Marcus and the assassin.

The old man threw the assassin like trash towards Aile and the others and said, "Carry him the road ahead is safe for another 3km. We will go and scout ahead to make sure another attack does not happen."

Hunter, on the other hand, brought Marcus and laid him down peacefully. Then they left.

Ellie came and saw that Marcus was not dead and just walked away. She did not seem to care. In the end, One became the leader in control, while Arnold took the leading position in the name. Two and Three moved Marcus. While Aile and Four carried the assassin.

Aile held his legs, and Four carried his hand.

On the way four dropped him a few times, telling him, "That he was fat, or he thought he saw something." One of his reason was that he needed to sneeze and did not want to get his spit on him, so he had dropped him.

Aile chuckled and was happy at how the vindictive Four enjoyed making the assassin suffer. Aile knew that Four was acting this way to vent his anger because of how he pushed the beast and tried to injure Aile.

Just like this, they soon reached the 3 km mark. The group saw many holes, broken trees and vegetation. Some burnt trees gave of warmth as they passed it. The trees were incinerated by the lightning attack, and soon they arrived at an area with a pinkish substance that was coming out of a giant boar-like animal's body.

They continued on going ahead.

"Stop," shouted Arnold.

"Oh, what is it?" said One.

"This is already the 3km mark, we should wait for them."

Aile said, "Young master you do not need to worry about us carrying the injured. Nothing is unsafe ahead as there is no sound of fighting. So we can go without a problem. It will not be best to wait for the experts to come back and only escort us. We would seem even more useless to them."

Aile with this put him in a difficult position if he rejects then he will seem like a coward in front of Ellie and Violet.

"Alright, let's go."

Aile wanted to go because he did want to reach under the mountain by tonight. He wanted to explore it to find soul type herbs.

He was also worried that Hunter and the old man would just ditch them and only return after they thoroughly searched it and collected all the herbs. After all, they viewed them, as just a burden. He wanted to reach their so that he can leave once a camp was established.

Soon they arrived in front of a large mountain that gave off warmth. It had red veins all around it and greenery all around the red veins. The veins were transferring hot lava, mineral and energy around the mountain, and the plants grew there to leach of them.

By now, the sky had darkened, and the red veins around the mountain created a beautiful site.

They quickly established a camp, and Aile with the excuse that he will check the surrounding so that they are safe went to see if he can find anything. On the way, if he meets Hunter or the old man, he can just say that he was looking for them.

As this is the beast territory, the powerhouses can not use their spiritual sense. This is because the higher level beast will detect their presence, and a fight will start, making this seem like an invasion. Therefore they had agreed not to use their spiritual sense. This is also the reason that Aile believes he can get away with sneaking around.

As Aile went around, he noticed many precious herbs, and he would collect them. At set locations, he would dig a small hole, put some hay as bedding and cover, inside it would be the unique herbs, and at the top was dirt. He marked the trees that he buried the herbs underneath.

If he carries the herbs, chances are they will get pocketed by Hunter or the old man or even Arnold. So the further away he got, the more herbs he had secretly collected and hidden.

He then saw Marquis Andrew, who was trying to hide a small opening with vegetation.

Aile held his breath and waited for him to go, he checked the opening, and there he saw a small ruby flower with 10 petals.

It was called the flower of life and death because each of its petals could heal someone from the worst injury. This flower grows at the entrance of the Milli-Spiders' nest. As soon as the flower is plucked, millions of very poisonous flying spiders would exit and kill anyone in many miles around their home to create another flower.

Only people above the 9th level can safely take the flower without being killed by the Milli-Spiders. Therefore to almost everyone, it was just known as the flower of death as plucking it, would mean the death of everyone in many miles.

There was another secret, that was if a flower of life and death was ever taken. A second one would grow, but it would not be alone, it would also have a soul-nether flower in its 1 km radius.

This was a flower that grew from feeding on the death of many creatures. The Milli spiders create the perfect opportunity for its growth, after losing their flower of life and death. Therefore they were usually together.

Soul-Nether was a soul strengthening flower, and getting this would mean a possible remedy for Sara and Hazel. Aile looked around and found it growing inside the trunk of another tree. As soon as he got close, there was a pulling force that wanted to consume his soul. Aile was happy seeing it, but the problem was, the closer he goes, the stronger the consuming capacity of the flower.

Soul-Nether was linked to the souls of everything around it. If it was plucked, then everything around it would die, including the life and death flower making the Milli-Spiders go mad. So Aile was planning to just take 4 out of the 8 petals.

He still had to find a way to get close to it without injuring his soul. After a few attempts of failure, he remembered something and went to his soul space and said. "Hey, you said that your inheritance can also protect my soul, pass that to me for a few minutes."

"Why?"

Aile gave him a quick explanation of what was happening. The body's original soul had experienced everything and knew Sara and Hazel. Thus it was simple for him to understand.

"I can give it to you, but only when you are actually planning to take it. Now you just want to test it right? Also, I want a favour in return for helping you."

"Ok, but tell me what it is?"

"I am sure you will create this opportunity to create havoc, I want you to take Violet with you to safety? "

Aile raised his eyebrows and chuckled "It cannot be that you have fallen for her."

Humph, "She is special... and a better fit for you compared to all the others.... you better be nice to her as she will help you with your growth."

"Me? Why are you picking girls for me? Or do you like her? It can't be that you enjoy being cuckolded."

"A-hole, forget it, it seems you do not need my help them."

"Sorry... sorry, I will be nice to her and take her to safety I promise."
