8 Level Up!!

Sung Jin-Woo thought he was being sucked up like a ketchup being squished.

But as soon as he crossed it a screen came up, [You've entered the instant dungeon] the sound of cracking made Sung Jin-Woo turn as he noticed the gate seal up, "What the Hell, where's the entrance" as he moved his hand over the sealed entrance, it was completely gone, no light from above was coming through, Jin-Woo kept looking for a way out but another person passed his and seem to phase straight through the wall, it was then the Jin-Woo realised what he had walked into.

The key had created a separate dimension using the subway as a basis on how it would build up the dungeon, and with the entrance sealed he knew he couldn't run, "What now, if I can't run then what am I suppose to do" he asked aloud, the answer came up on the screen.

[You cannot leave the dungeon unless the boss is slain or use a return crystal]

He was thinking about his mother and how he will torture that guy who drugged her.

His thoughts were broken when the sound of wind travelled down the dark tunnel of the subway, carrying a strange aura of death, "What the fuck did I put myself into" he said aloud, knowing fall well that whatever was in this dungeon would be out for blood.

The atmosphere in the dungeon was tense and eerie, it looked like the subway had been through a nuclear fall out, cracked tiles, flickering lights and weed breaking through the concrete and walls, the wind hadn't let up as she continued through the subway, "This is strange, the whole place looks abandoned, there this foul smell in the air" the smell was getting worse the further he went in till he saw what it was as it charged at him,

As Jin-Woo dodged the monster he got a good look at what it was, "Shit, a Steel Lycan" the monsters was Hugh with a massive steel jaw, it growled at him as it readied itself to attack, "This is crazy, I can barely kill an and and I'm suppose to kill this thing" Jin-Woo's whole body was shaking, he was filled with determination to kill this monster and gain exp he was glad that he used the key after 2 weeks, The monster soon charged towards him but he jumped out the way again, "I am gonna kill this beast and protect everyone I love and care about."

One attack was nearly close to biting his head off when he leaned back and suddenly did a back flip that sent him crashing into a closed grate, "Ehh", as the monster began to charge at him he push on his hands and leapt over the monster as it crashed into the grate, "My body seems lighter" as he turned back to see the monster was up again, Jin-Woo could now see this thing wasn't going to give up.

he grit his teeth as he looked at the now enraged monster, As he clenched his fist he hadn't noticing a glow around them, the monster charged at him, it moved faster but Jin-Woo just swung his fist forward and used 'strike', the fist landed on the monsters jaw and it was sent flying back into the grate, Jin-Wio was surprised that the punch had sent the monster back, he also noticed the lack of pain from hitting the metal jaw, he looked down and saw his hand was glowing, he realised this must have something to do with the skill 'strike, he had increased his strength and his vitality since he had began the daily quest so the increase must had improved his body.

"Still..it not enough" as he noticed the Lycan was back, the monster charged again and Jin-Woo continued to dodge and punch but all it did was keep it back, "Damn, I need something to attack it, regular attacks don't do much damage, and it still as strong as me'' as he dodged the attack again but it jaw had crushed some of the grate in its jaw, "Killing this thing is impossible unless I have..." Jin-Woo realised what he needed and he'd seen it only this morning when checking out the system, "Inventory" the screen appeared, he had stashed most of his items in it from the random boxes he'd gotten, his hand seem to sink into the screen, he felt what he needed and pulled it out as the monster leapt at him.

"Don't know how this got in here, but it should do the trick" as he slashed down on the monster, the instance the Katana hit the monster it split in two, Jin-Woo was breathing heavily as he looked up and saw the screen again, [Level Up].

[Gained Skill: 'Bite' Level 1]

[Gained Skill: 'Blade Mastery' Levels]

He looked at the Katana and he was glad that he choosed the random Box in the morning as he turned his head to see two more of the lycan's,

Both monsters attacked, Jin-Woo pulled on the katana to defend himself but found it stuck in the ground, "Damn must have swung too hard" one of the monsters was close to attacking but he yanked the katana out and was able swing it , the katans grazed the other lycan but the one in front caught it in it steel jaw, "Oh no you don't, I just got this" as he swung the katana further in and cutting the Lycan head off, the other monster looked at it companion and then at its prey, "I'm an idiot, compared to those guys, you're just weak" as he remembered about his mom and his friends.

The monster crept back into the shadows looking scared, once Jin-Woo could see the glow from its eyes were gone he quickly accessed his body for injuries, apart from some gashes and bruises he seemed fine, he looked up his stats to see what had changed, when checking he could see that all his stats had gone up by 2 point, he considered how he got points, from the daily quest to killing monsters she could assume that by levelling up he could increase the stats to make himself stronger, "Well let's see what these monsters have" as he looked over to the monsters he had killed and went to see if they had any cores.

After checking the places it was filled with lycan's fangs "Maybe these could be something I could sell or craft" as he pulled the lycan's fangs, he knew that he couldn't sell them in the real world but maybe the store could take them, as he brought up the screen for the store it came with a message that showed he could sell items but didn't have the required level to purchase items, Jin-Woo guessed he'd have to wait till he was a higher level to get that privilege.

As he accepted the sale of one of the fangs he saw that it's worth was 20 gold, as he put in the rest of the fangs he came with a total of 160 gold, as he got up he thought about what he had to do next, he couldn't leave unless he defeated the boss or found a return crystal, he knew food was an issue the longer he was here and even though this dungeon was ranked E there was no guarantee he could beat the boss, but if he levelled up more it could be possible, Jin-Woo then saw that the Lycan from before was back and it had brought friends.

The horde of monsters growled at him ready to pounce but Jin-Woo stood ready, "I've already died once" he said aloud as the monsters got closer, "I'm not about to do it again" as he charge forward holding the katana in his hands, he swung the katana at the monsters as they charged and tried to bite and tear him apart, a few had been sliced apart as they surrounded him but Jin-Woo didn't care, "You better bring everything you got you bastards, Cause I'm done holding back" unknown to Jin-Woo his eyes began to glow blue.

He continued to hack and slash the monsters and while he did he could hear the familiar sound of the system alert, [Level Up], it kept going as he killed more of the monsters but he ignored it as he came to a conclusion of what needed to be done, "I can't stop, as long as I'm breathing I'll give everything i got, if I give up my survival would be for nothing" he lopped off the heads of two lycan's "I won't be able to protect the ones I love, I'll end up losing everything" the monsters continued to growl, Jin-Woo clothing was torn but his eyes were still determined, " I can no longer hide behind that stupid title, If this damn system wants me to get stronger" he charged straight into the horde "Then I'll follow those damn rules".

After dispatching the horde he moved on, there was blood everywhere on him but he continued on into the dungeon, Jin-Woo was tired but still resolved to finish this dungeon, as he turned the corner he saw another horde ready to attack, he stared at the monsters with no fear, only determination and resolve to kill his enemy.

Jin-Woo took a quick break after dispatching another horde of monsters to check his weapon, the katans had no chipping and no cracks, this was the power all magical items.

As he looked around the carnage, the system suddenly came up [Congratulations, You've earned the title: Monster Slayer], Jin-Woo checked the message and could see that the title applied an effect, it seems by applying the title he could get a increase to his abilities by 50 % when fighting any beast-like monster, "This is awesome" he thought as he brought up the inventory to see what he had, his inventory showed he had 34 Fangs, 35 wolf fur and a cloak, most of the items were common and he could sell them, the clock might be good to use if he got out of the dungeon.

He had also received a Return Crystal from killing the monsters, with it he could leave the dungeon but he considered the options of the decision, If he left would he be able to come back or was it like those time-events in games where player only had a set time to complete the dungeon, the more he thought about it the more it felt like someone was controlling his actions by setting him up with hard decision, to go back to the safe route or continue to get stronger on the dangerous path before him.

Gripping the crystal Jin-Woo decided to keep it in her inventory and continued onward into the dungeon, along the way Jin-Woo killed more monsters, eventually different monsters came out the further down he went, the system continually alerting him when he levelled up, the more he levelled up the more he could feel himself getting stronger, catching his breath, after clearing one area of monsters he would find the monsters would respawn and he would start again, not that it was troublesome the more he killed the more he could level up.

Eventually he could predict where the monster would attack from, "Monkey from the top and two cats from the sides" Jin-Wii positioned his weapon to kill, first he despatched the monkey then he swipe the 2 cats then as he turned he saw a lycan leaping at him but he wasn't scared and just slashed down cutting the head in half.

As he looked at the monster corpse he noticed that the name above it had gone white, at the start it was red, "Guess the colour of the name is a level indicator" if he looked at it like a game as the system was set up 'White' must mean the weakest, 'Orange' the same level as the player and 'Red' meant significantly stronger, "And if the lycan's name have turned white then I must have levelled up a lot, they don't even help raise my level anymore" he thought.

Still even with raising his level up he could still feel the stronger aura from the stairs, "Shit, with the increase to my sense stat I can tell whatever down there is way to strong" he said aloud, Jin-Woo checked her stats and could see she had risen his level up to 16, even if he went back over the dungeon several times the monsters wouldn't be able to increase his level or stats, and with his katana even more damaged from constant use he wouldn't be able to beat the Boss, still his only option was either to leave using the crystal of moving forward.

In the end Jin-Woo chose to move forward and face whatever was down the stairs, as he made his way down he could sense the aura getting closer, Jin-Wii wondered what kind of Boss the system had set up for her to fight, since he had fought beast like monsters it had to be something similar but bigger, "Is it me or does this feel longer, just want did the system do to the station" Jin-Woo had used the station before and the stairs down to the tubes was never this long, "Maybe its a feel factor, getting the player hyped up for the big battle" he thought.

As he reached the bottom he came upon a strange sight, the whole station was covered in wildlife, grass and moss was covering the pillars and water had filled up the tracks and the floor, it looked like he had walked into a swamp, just as he was looking around the area with wonder he sense sudden moment and brought the katana up for defence as something large and heavy slammed into the left side of his body, the impact tossed her straight into a wall which caused him to cough up blood, as he regained his awareness he looked at his weapon and thought what a nice weapon I could win a cutting contest.

he looked up and was rather annoyed as he could see the colour of the monster name, "Guess I didn't raise my level up enough" Jin-Woo could see that the colour was orange which meant that he was close to the same level but not enough, the name of the creature she could make out said [King of the Swamp: Kasaka the Serpent ] and the name matched the monster perfectly as he looked at a Hugh Blue scaled Python.

The monster hissed at hjm, showing two large fangs which strangely liked like blades, Jin-Woi struggled to get up, but as he got to his feet he flipped the blade grip and prepared to fight, "Guess your the boss here, well time to see which one of us is stronger".

Jin-Woo waited for the Kasaka to attack, she remembered that most reptiles waited to attack their prey, a few second later the monster struck, he barely dodged as he noticed that it was using it size to direct it attacks and it didn't help that it scales had a high defence that his weapon couldn't pierce, he would need to find an opening and avoid any direct hits from the monster otherwise he would be KO'd in seconds, Kasaka continued to attack, it large body hitting the surrounding area made it hard to move and while Jin-Woi could dodge and defend the monster wasn't giving him much time to find any weaknesses.

Eventually he was surrounded, the body of the monster was moving too fast to escape and it's body slammed over him causing him to collapse and cough up more blood, Jin-Woo struggled to catch his breath, Kasaka wasn't giving him any space to attack and his weapon was making no damage to the monster, Jin-Woo realised the major gap in strength between them, "Is this not enough, how much stronger do I need to be" he was frustrated he had gone through all this hell to get stronger and it still wasn't enough to beat this boss, Jin-Woo thought back to when his mother got drugged and he could do nothing about it.
