CHAPTER 99 Success

Syura was a scum on earth in which his actions can go from brutally murdering civilians for no reason to showing a more perverted murderous side just by counting all those women that disappeared around the Empire. Despite that, Syura is a spoiled brat that thought everything should go as he pleases, and becomes violent whenever someone gets in his way. The only thing that keeps this guy in check is his obsession with his father and fear from the true strong like Budo and Esdeath.

Syura, who has daddy issues that involve brainwashing by Honest from a young age to make him obsessed with pleasing his father and becoming emotionally unstable if he lost his approval, won't refuse any order from his father. So, he rushed from the palace immediately without even informing his team.

Even if Syura thinks this is a waste of time, he's eager to prove himself to his father, and that's how he encounter Jin and got his hand chopped off. 

But Jin wasn't quite sure about this beast. However, the combination of his knowledge, Esdeath's formula, and a massive boost from the Tyrant's flesh did the trick. Jin thought he really needed to thank Esdeath and the dead beast after this.

Jin lowered his hand as Typhon went back to being a shadow before he said, "Call me the fourth primogenitor because I'm about to thunder this night... I mean day."

"Every day with a new weapon of mass destruction..." Esdeath removed her hand from her face before she said, "You really live up to the title of God of Death."

"It's the Shadow Monarch, but the alternative title isn't bad," Jin nodded at Esdeath's shocked face before he snapped his fingers and moved back to the mansion.

"*Sigh* Why is it always destruction? First the meteor, now this," Esdeath sighed before she said, "Sometimes, I feel like you also enjoy things like killing."

*Awkward silence*

Esdeath raised her head as she saw Jin staring at her calmly before he said, "Esdeath, here's another lesson."

"When you kill for the first time, you may feel sick or guilty, and sometimes you may feel nothing like I did, or possibly you did, or even possibly enjoy it, but..." Jin stared at Esdeath seriously before he said, "There's a thin line you should never cross."

"Honestly, even if you or I kill millions or maybe billions, I won't care, but certainly, I'll never enjoy it," Jin stared at the confused Esdeath before he said, "Never cross those lines, Love."

"Yeah... I mean killing and such, but there are limits," Jin scratched the back of his neck before he said, "Like the difference between a never-kill hero and a psychopath who enjoys killing."

Esdeath lowered her head as she felt that she had said something wrong. But before she could apologize, she felt a hand on top of her head.

"Don't apologize and keep your head up..." Jin patted Esdeath's head before he said, "I know you're also trying, so you don't have to be sorry for anything. There is a proud, kinky woman that I love."

Jin knew that this stubborn woman who follows her own ideals, but he had to change something about her. If she rampages in the modern world, it wouldn't be a good thing. So, this was a great step forward. Esdeath was shocked as she didn't know how Jin knew about that.

"Like I said, don't worry, Esdeath, and good job," Jin smiled at Esdeath before he said, "You showed me that I really can't underestimate the mind of some just because the world is somewhat technologically less advanced. And you have started to care even more about the common folk."

"O-o-oh..." Esdeath wasn't able to say anything while Jin kept patting her head before she recovered from the shock. It's not like she didn't like it, it's just that she was embarrassed about it.

"Hey..." Esdeath started to flash with cold before she said, "How long do you plan on messing with my hair?"

"Hm?" Jin looked at the ice that was forming around them, then at Esdeath before he smiled and said, "For a while."

Sighing, Esdeath clenched her fist. She actually liked it, so with a sigh, she let him do what he wanted.

Jin's Shadows, who had just appeared with Telo, looked at Jin patting Esdeath's head with a smile while Esdeath was snuggling into him, with a small blush on her face.

"*Sigh* Well, this is enough for today," Jin removed his hand from Esdeath, and she also let go of his shirt with a sad face.

"See you later..." Jin waved his hand as he walked away before Esdeath said, "Where are you going now?"

"Me?..." Jin looked at Esdeath before he said, "I'm going for a walk."

"Please, tell me you're joking," Esdeath covered her face with her hand as she remembered Jin's walks. First, it was a weather incident, then it was a doomsday scenario with asteroids, and then he brought a weapon from a general in the Empire.

"I'll leave that to your imagination..." Jin walked away as he said, "It's time to see the scientist who's still holding the beast soldier."

Esdeath sighed as she saw Jin walking away while feeling that another disaster was about to happen. She disappeared into Jin's shadow on his order.

The sun was still shining brightly on the Empire that had lasted for millennia, but the condition of the Empire was something else.

The situation was getting worse with every passing minute. The Empire was getting more stressed from the fact that they couldn't find any information about the Night Raid, which only increased their anger.

And to make matters worse, a new type of Danger Beast had appeared. They were seen all over the Empire, and they all looked different, but they all had one thing in common—they were pitch black, some with weapons and some without.

The most mysterious thing was that they never attacked humans unless provoked. This kind of behavior had never been seen in Danger Beasts in the millennia-old history of the Empire, as they would usually kill anything that moved, especially humans, as they enjoyed hunting them.

This gave them a very uneasy feeling, especially since it seemed like the Danger Beasts were surrounding the Empire.

So they had thought that as new new species of danger beast. 

The atmosphere in the Empire was tense as they prepared for war. Some Teigu wielders had arrived in the Empire, which was further proof that the situation was serious. The death of General Budo had surprised them, and the disappearance and possible death of Esdeath, the Empire's strongest, had shaken them to the core.

The Empire forces were ready for battle, waiting for a clue to the location of the Night Raid and the Revolutionary Army's hideout. But something happened today that startled the Empire.

They saw lightning and dark clouds appearing from afar without any warning. The loud thunder sound was followed by a gigantic roar that broke every piece of glass in the Empire, striking fear even into those who claimed they feared nothing. They couldn't explain it, but the Empire quickly reached a conclusion.

The only Teigu and power capable of producing such lightning was General Budo's Teigu, Adramelech. The Empire stood still for a moment before rushing to send its forces towards that location.

This was a humiliation and a threat to the Empire. The Revolutionary Army had actually dared to use Budo's Teigu, and the worst part was that they had found someone who could use it. The Empire swore that it would never let such a cowardly thief get away with this and that it would show what happens when you mess with the Empire.

The rage overwhelmed the feeling of fear. As the Empire boiled with flames of revenge, the thief calmly walked away from the Empire, reaching an uninhabited place near the Empire forest.

Jin was walking calmly in the forest, feeling the beauty of nature and appreciating every moment, or at least that's what it seemed like. 

Jin looked at the bright sun and felt it hurting his eyes, but the wind was quite pleasant, as if it was begging him to unleash Typhon on someone.

'This is getting boring...' Jin walked through the woods, realizing that he was almost reaching the location where the shadow was imprisoned. 'Maybe I should just gather all those Teigu and bomb this Empire already...'

Jin had almost achieved his goals in this world; he only needed to collect a few specific Teigu and do some more research. But he thought it wouldn't hurt to collect more Teigu. However, his time here seemed to be longer than he had anticipated, and he didn't know when he would be able to return, so he didn't want to get bored.

'First, I need Shikouteizā, then two more at top priority...' Jin finalized his plans before he sensed something in front of him, or rather, two things.

First, there was a huge cloud of negative mana filled with emotions like pain and suffering, begging to be nuked and erased from the map in Jin's eyes. And the second thing, he had company.

Jin stopped in his tracks and looked ahead. After waiting for a while, he adjusted his coat before pointing toward a tree with his hand in the form of a gun.

A small stone, the size of a bullet, appeared on Jin's finger before it compressed and became slightly unstable.

Jin felt it was almost ready before he said, "Bang."

The stone flew at a speed twice as fast as a bullet, piercing through the tree instantly and hitting the person behind it, causing their body to fall to the ground.

Jin waved his hand, dispersing the smoke, as many people wearing masks appeared around him, surrounding him.

"So... I'm surrounded, which is quite new for me, but I have a question," Jin stared at these abnormal-looking individuals who were walking like zombies before he said, "Are you the group that will take me to your leader, or the ones who will ask who I am?"

Jin didn't receive a response as these zombie-like people revealed claws in their hands and rushed towards Jin on all fours.

"Take me to your leader, huh..." Jin raised his hand, tightening the glove he was wearing, before he said, "But you have to know..."

"The Pokémon battle starts when the eyes meet," Jin looked at the zombies rushing towards him before he said, "Pikachu, use Discharge!"

"Zzzz..." Pikachu rushed out from Jin's shadow as he clenched his hands!!!

A blast of lightning hit all the surrounding enemies, knocking them back and cooking them to charcoal in a 20-meter radius. But this didn't stop them as they fearlessly continued rushing towards Jin, even some of the cooked ones stood up as if nothing had affected them.

Jin, who was unaffected by Pikachu's attack, sighed as he summoned the Magic Caster, while his katana hung from his waist.

Strong winds began to blow furiously, forming a small tornado and numerous wind blades around Jin. He waved his hand, and heads went flying in the air.

Gold appeared behind Jin, rushing forward with Pikachu, while the Magic Caster protected them from any damage with the wind.

"The enthusiastic walk begins..." Jin moved forward as he snapped his fingers, and ten wind blades appeared behind him. They ignited with black fire, melting the ground as he advanced.

"Now..." Jin walked towards the battlefield, with winds, thunder, and fire destroying everything behind him. A speedster with insane velocity and a chainsaw sword chopped everything into tiny pieces in front of Jin.

When Jin was finally getting some action in that boring forest, there was something happening inside the Empire secret recherche base.

Inside a giant laboratory with different kinds of danger beasts and human bodies lying inside tubes, there was a man with black hair. He wore glasses, a yellow suit with a tie, and a white lab coat. This is a doctor and scientist that works for the Empire, Dr. Stylish.

The man was staring at Giant ugly pitch black mouse in front of him as his eyes shone with madness. He was trying to dissect this mouse without killing, but after moments; the mouse was cut open darkness surrounded him and put back his body into its original shape.  

"DAMMIT!!" The man hit the operation table throwing all the tools to the ground as he was holding his head maniacally and screaming " NO! I NEED MORE!! I DIDN'T UNDERSTAND ANYTHING!!"

"How? Just how?... How can this kind of creature exist?!" The man was holding his head as he said " It seems alive and normal creature, but its cells don't age!!"

"It doesn't need to eat or drink, even breathing is optional and it can't even die as hurting it'll turn into black smoke for second before it's body returns to its original shape" The man calmed down before he walked from the operation table before he did a pose and said " Is this the secret to immortality? I need to know!!"

Yes even throwing the thing into acid does nothing and this was the same for poison. 

Stylish remembers when he was experimenting with some rats because he was waiting for the next group of volunteers from the Empire before he noticed this kind of creature. After it dies, it turns into black smoke and puts itself back together which surprises Stylish and asks where they got this kind of creature.

After a lot of investigation, Stylish found out that these creatures came from the Empire and was caught by some guards who used imperial arms as even these mice were much stronger than an average man.  Which made Stylish experiments' obsession awaken as he wanted to know about them.

Stylish made one of his men that had a giant nose smell all the rats in the labs before they found that this creature had an unfamiliar smell than the usual rats. So after confirming this, Stylish ordered his man to collect every rat, mouse, bug, and bird from the capital and send it to him, and even then he only got hands on only this rat as he discovered a lot about this  creature but he felt he didn't know anything.

Sadly for Stylish, no matter how much he tries he can't cut any wound in his body as just under a second its body gets healed and returns back its original shape. which stopped his research, and now, he can only hope that his men find more in the capital.
