8 CHAPTER 08 Bloody Battle
I slowly took a few steps backward. All the Gorilla boss had to go for it was its high defense, its strength, and speed without any skills so it's possible that he had just touched the rank of D. Overall level seemed to be higher. Compared to the pressure I faced against the 'blue poisoned-fanged. So I should be able to take it down, the Gorilla was a step higher.
What the Hunters needed was a powerful attack to get through that stupid monkey of black. At a good distance, I cocked my arm back into a throwing position. I tightened my grip on the broken sword, and the muscles of my arm expanded. Thick veins appeared all the way to the back of my hand.
All of my strength was focused on my right arm.
Then, the arm that was drawn back like a bowstring shot forward at the speed of sound.
"Go!"
3rd Person Pov.
The D-rank Hunter, Lee Hansoo, despaired; he was at his limit. The shield that he was so proud of was cracking. The healing Hunters' magic power must've hit rock bottom; the healing on him had decreased noticeably. At this rate, the entire party would be wiped out.
He had to make a difficult choice.
He decided to buy time for the other Hunters to run away and hope that the high-ranking Hunters would arrive in time to take the Gorilla down.
'Or else we'll all die here.'
Lee Hansoo's brows glistened with cold sweat. He was ready to die.
He turned and shouted,
"I'll take it from here, so everyone-"
It was at that moment he saw it. Something flashed from a distance and was flying this way.
Rather, instead of seeing it, it was more like he felt it. His eyes could not possibly see that attack.
BANG!
That something directly stuck on the Gorilla's hand who had instantly moved his hand to protect his head from the upcoming hand.
"W-what?"
Lee Hansoo's eyes widened. As tons of blood poured out of the hand of the Grimhand which had a sword pierced through it.
As everyone had the same shocked expiration like his as they looked around who did it. As they heard a voice.
"Aaa I missed, No I didn't miss it's just monkey's reaction speed was faster than I predicted"
As everyone looked around to find the source of the voice they saw a man who looked bearly muscular standing in front of the now whimpering Grimhand.
As he turned and looked at them.
"Well Thanks for your hard work, But now looking at you guys you won't be able to handle this so I will be taking over from here." He said and they clearly heard it but it was shocking as their whole party isn't able to lend a single good hit on the monster. How did that happen?
Is he a high-ranker? But they never saw his face? And before they could ask any questions they heard from him.
"I won't be repeating this as I said before I'll be taking over, this is going to get bloody so make some distance as I won't be able to protect you while fighting him."
Hearing him they instantly snap out of their thoughts and started to back down. Meanwhile, all the news channels here were reporting while all the civilians and soldiers were shocked to see this.
Grimhand slowly looked in his direction again then it jumped in the air causing the street lights on the road to be destroyed and brought out its arms again then intended to slam again to Jinwoo.
Fortunately, he was faster and noticed this quickly as he ran out of the area of collagen in haste just in time to see Grimhand slamming down its fists again but this time the whole rood was no longer there.
Jinwoo looked at his cracked knife and then back at Grimhand as he grimaced at this comparison to how much gold he put in those daggers.
"Damn… stop jumping around you monkey!" Jin yelled defiantly and gripped his knife tighter.
*Rooooaaaarrr!!*
Gorilla let out a roar again and charged towards him again with its right fist drawn back while Jin ran towards it as well.
It punched out at Jin and he dodged again by jumping away but this time Gorilla saw this and then swung its left arm at him.
*Kurk!* *Thud!* *Crack*
The attack hit Jinwoo and sent him flying until hitting one of the still-standing traffic lights poles on the other side.
Grimhand didn't let up as it charged again on all fours then jumped again while winding its fists in the air as it prepared to slam it down at him again. He was using his hand so well while the broken sword was still in its hand.
It looked like he wasn't feeling pain or ignoring the pain as if he had gone into some kind of berserk state.
"Tsk *Ptui* I felt that one," Jin spit out blood as he stood up slowly then he jumped to the sides again to evade the incoming attack of Grimhand.
*Booom!!*
After dodging its attack, Jin immediately used the cloud of dust made by it and charged toward one of its arms and stabbed at its fur but at the same time, his knife broke due to this. Grimhand noticed as it used one of its arms again and swatted Jin like a fly.
*Kurk!* *Thud!*
Jin staggered to get to his feet as he let go of the remnants of his knife. Blood started leaking from his head as he looked at the approaching Gorilla, he felt light-headed and blood started streaming from his mouth.
Jin slowly approached the Grimhand again and pretty soon, both of them stood at each other and looked at their foe. Grimhand's eyes looked like it was looking at an insect while Jin had this hollow look like he gave up but instantly as he remembered the same look, everyone. Grimhand, some kind of fire started to awaken as he shouted.
"F*CK YOU!! DO YOU THINK SIZE OR QUIRK MATTERS!! THEN I'LL SHOW YOU ALL!!" Jin snapped as something within him started to rage out.
*Woooo!!*
Grimhand brought out its arms again then slammed again at Jin.
"AND I'LL START!!" Jin continued as he jumped forward to dodge its attack then latched to its back and swiftly climbed over as the attack hit the ground.
*Booom!!*
"BY F*CKING RIPPING YOU APART!!" Jin yelled out as he reached its face then without a single beat, he then pointed his hand toward Grimhand his hand shined for a second and
with all his strength towards one of its eyes. The punch easily punctured and disabled the eye as Grimhand roared in agony.
*Roooaaarrr!!*
Jin immediately let go as he dived straight for its open mouth while Grimhand was distracted. He quickly grabbed its tongue with both of his hands and dragged it towards its throat then in one pull he used all of his strength to rip it apart.
*RRRRIIPPPP!!!*
*GGRRRRRROOOOGGGRRROOOORRR!!*
Grimhand thrashed in pain while Jin targeted this time its uvula and ripped it again then he repeatedly punched at its Hard palate with force until he broke through. By now, It tried everything to get Jin out of its mouth but as time passed, it became weaker and weaker due to blood loss until the light in its eye disappeared completely, and died.
Jin opened its bloody mouth and came out drenched in blood.
As soon as he exited the mouth of the Gorilla, he fell down exhausted and took a seat for him to recover.

As he leveled up he recovered all the wounds and now he could breathe properly.
"Fuck who knew there will be such a big difference between D- and D or just Casaka wasn't a fighting type and he was good at fighting…" Jinwoo said out loud as looked at the audience who were dead, shocked to see what they had just seen. They were having a hard time believing what they just saw, not just a dog fight filled with blood but also how his wounds just vanished.
Some even vomited after seeing how brutally bloody the fight was. And shocked to see how efficient he was. But the first one to come out of shock was news reporters because they heard the voice of their superiors to go to him and take his interview...
"Yeaaaaaah!"
The Hunters and audiences shouted and cheered.
"He did it!"
"He took it down!"
"O-OVER THERE! As you can see He did not only survive but he defeated that monster"

As they all ran towards him. Seeing them coming Jinwoo got up from the bloody dead body of Grimhand.
"Well I will be taking my price And See ya" and before any reporter could reach him he vanished, and the same happened with the dead body of the Grimhand.
At the same time, The military soldiers tried to get there first but they were blocked by crowds.
"Get out of the way!
There are things to discuss with the survivor and steps we have to take-
He's gone!
He was right there a second ago!
He vanished! With the dead body of the monster!"
As people were shocked to see how he vanished instantly and with the dead body of the Gorilla monster. And the only thing left behind was a pool of blood.
They were all too unfocused. Only Lee Hansoo, who stood right before keeping his eyes on the dead monster, caught a glimpse of Jinwoo running away...
*Jin-Woo Pov*
*Phew* "Status…" Jin muttered as he took off his shirt as it was completely drenched in blood. While standing in a dark alleyway.

Not bad, not bad at all for a single day of grind I gained 20 levels. It's pretty good. Plus I got two good monsters that could be used as shadow soldiers.
Plus all the loot I got.
I looked at his inventory, and I noticed there were three new things, one was the dead body of Grimhand and A new weapon stored in one of the slots so I curiously took it out to check it personally. It looked like a silver scythe and the weight of it was non-existent to him as he twirls it around effortlessly.
I then tried swinging it out on the carcass on the wall in front of me and swinging it the cut through it like a hot knife through butter.
After a few more minutes of resting and trying out the new weapon, I put it back into inventory. It wasn't suitable for me but I could sell it to a system shop or even outside here. After all, it had a 20+ attack with a wind cutter skill on it.
As I pulled out the last reward I wasn't able to believe what I just got.
It was something that was unbeatable to get something like that, why did I get it? How did I get this? Is it because this was an entirely different monster on a whole other level from what Jinwoo fought?
Or is it because the system senses my thoughts and gives me the thing I have in mind? That I really wanted.
This shouldn't be existing here. How did I get this?

Whatever it is, I got the thing I wanted. I could have even killed thousands of those monkeys if I knew I would get this. I thought while looking at the bright pink Rune Stone.
That was totally different than any rune stones I have read about or seen in both worlds.
Well, I had underestimated how huge of a power difference between a D- - to a D monster and paid the price I can't even imagine defending against a C- - monster at my current level.
But I am not like them. I will grow stronger with every kill and soon be facing monsters with so much power that it can't be imagined by a human. So getting used to being hurt will be good for me in the long run as it would keep me alive.
I thought while using the inventory to take out a few clothes for him to change into and walked out to the alleyway he came from. and made my way back to the hospital.
There is much to do and many skills to learn. I can't be lazy at times like this, especially when I got a second chance in a world where there were no limitations on what I couldn't do. I can have power that can shatter the earth. I can be an immortal army in fact I could become Immortal.
And even the physical possessions could easily be obtained from money to cars to a castle to having multiple queens having a Harem of any woman I see worthy of becoming a God itself.
After all, there are no limitations on how much I can level up if I continue to find stronger opponents. I could theoretically do this forever and I am sure I can erase the level cap that my shadow servants have. I can make them climb past the level of Grand Marshal Grade.
So the future holds infinite possibilities and I can pick the best. No, I can make the best. And also I can't forget about the promise that I won't have any regrets in this life...
As I said Future has infinite possibilities and I will become the best and strongest possibility there is and ever will be.
Jin-Woo's greatest ability was the system but that fool deleted it. Even after the system evolved so much that it can't be influenced by its creator.
