After being graciously thanked by John, George decided to take a look around in the mansion in order to get rid of any evidence against himself. John, who now considered George as a real brother who risked his life for the Billing Household, naturally let him do as he pleased.

However, George never expected the Billing Household to have such a long history of producing acolytes.

[Helena Billing - Wife of the Billing household founder

Description: Wife of the founder of the Billing Household, Helena Billing studied 6 years in the Ivory Tower, before escaping the hellish academy and settle down as a wandering acolyte. Over the years, she gathered magical theories and magical books to expand her library and strength. Dying at the age of 125 years old, she reached the pseudo-magus realm, and left behind her a legacy that would produce at least one acolyte every two generations. Two hundred years after her death, Lady Emma, her descendant, has shown tremendous talent. In her books, she mentions the necessary requirements to become a magus besides reaching 21 points of spiritual force: [Grine Water], a potent reactive elixir that allows one to exchange life force for tremendous magical power]

George knew that pseudo-magi were extremely rare. Even the Abyssal Bone Forest Academy, only a handful had reached this realm. After all, even in large-scale academies like the Abyssal Bone Forest Academy, there was a very limited amount of [Grine Water], and an even more limited number of individuals meeting the requirements to consume it to become a magus. Usually, it would be the masters of these pseudo-magi who would give it to their disciples, in exchange of a contract binding them to the academy and to the magus master.

While George was scanning the books, his butler James Galeheard was slowly counting the bags of gold ingots stored in a carriage in the court. After finishing to store everything that Lady Emma had to offer, George returned to the court, and joined his butler.

"There are exactly 1 960 Gold ingots in the carriage, each one being worth 1000 gold coins. This wealth...It far exceeds anything that the merchant unions have amassed over dozens of years"

George smiled: "Good. We will store them in the Golden Villa Treasury. Anyway, we will reinvest it all in a business that will allow us to multiply this wealth over the coming years. Do not be too surprised at one or two million gold coins"

While George said that two million gold coins was not something to get excited about, he was inwardly trembling with excitement. Acquiring land, or even a nobility title, could be done with such an amount of wealth. If he wanted to, he could even found a new city.

Naturally, George had other thoughts in mind, mainly investing it all back into his medicine hall and the training of physicians in order to get a steady source of income, but even then, he would have plenty of wealth to spare.

"What are we doing now, young master?", his butler asked

"Let us return to the Golden Lion Villa first. There is something I want to pass down to you", George spoke.

Naturally, even if James only possessed grade 1 talent, George was set on training him to become an acolyte. Based on his affinity, George might even be able to give him a spell to use in the future. That would give him enough fighting capability to fare against most knights.

Still, George felt happiness.

With this new addition of data within his biochip, his research on optimizing the [Underworld Hand] and [Shadow Steps] spells will be quicker. Optimized spells were usually legacies of magi, and the result of decades of long and tedious research. George did not need to go through all of this, thanks to the computation and simulation abilities of his biochip.

The only limiting factor was...time.
