1 <Prologue>

Since the age of 20, there's been a mysterious man that follows me. He lurks in the shadows and won't reveal his name to me, so I call him Shadow Man. Shadow Man mostly appears in the jet-black darkness, where no light can shine and only darkness is visible. Where the jet-black darkness will devour any form of light that tries to creep in. Shadow Man comes at night to protect me while I sleep or even in my dreams. Sometimes I just stay up so I can talk to him. But of course, the crickets outside my window talk more than he does. If he doesn't talk to me I don't take it the wrong way, I just think he's tired or thinking. Instead, I just stare at him trying make out his hypnotizing face. Every single feature that makes him so mysterious.

Other times I stay up to ensure I'm not alone, that he's still by my side. That he's still sitting on his old grey throne next to my grey fluffy bean-bag chair, with the same calm but serious expression he gives me every time when he's in my room. I think my room calms him a little, gives him a state of peace like it does for me. The walls in my room were all painted in halve. The upper halve of my walls were painted in a greenish blue to resemble the ocean's powerful but peaceful waves, as the bottom halve was painted in a more golden color like the pale cream sand that surround most oceans. The ceiling. The ceiling held the most beautiful moon I've ever since. The moon was painted with a mysterious dark but light-purple color along with a fading dark-blue. Pure white stars danced around the moon outside my window and on my ceiling, like they were celebrating a birth of a new. The paper stars I had hung from my ceiling slowly started to spin in circles, joining the other pure white stars dancing in the night sky outside my window. The scene of my room painted a peaceful picture I cannot describe using words. Its like living in paradise everyday.

Sometimes when its just me, him and my dog, Kodie, I tell them stories I make up. This story in particular is his favorite I suppose, because every time I tell him this story, he puts his head down and tries to hide his pure smiles. It was night and as I shined my flashlight onto the moon that was on my ceiling, Shadow Man closed the light green curtains. Soon darkness filled the rest of my room.

"Once upon a time, there was a purple moon that looked down upon a planet called the Blue Royal." "Inside the purple moon was one of many Gods that protected different planets. They called the goddess that lived inside of the purple moon, Elegance, because of her enchanting beauty and wise wisdom." I said, as I slowly turned my flashlight down to the next walls on the right side of my room.

I looked over towards my closet door, where he was sitting in his enchanting grey throne with a blue glowing skull in his left hand. His silver-white hair hung beautifully down his shoulders, lightly touching his dark lavender robe, gently like feathers. His dark robe covered the rest of his beautiful body, only a fraction of his muscular pale chest shone itself through the robe. In my eyes he resembled a king, a beautiful but mysterious white flower. Every muscle and muscular feature on his body pierced itself through the smooth, rich, dark-lavender robe that tried to keep them hidden.

He noticed I was admiring every part of his body and smirked. He picked up his head and opened his eyes while he turned towards me. I saw only a part of his enchanting face but, it was enough for me. His right silver eye held a larger scar. The scar started from his silver eyebrow, and almost hitting his sharp jaw. When our eyes met, it felt as though he could see through me like glass, like he could read me like a book. Every second he looked into my eyes, it felt as though he knew me better than I knew myself. It was like I was in a trance, blinded by his beauty. Time around us was going by slowly, and it was as though it was only the two of us in the whole world. Neither of us wanted to break away from the hold we had on each other, especially me.
