The couple looked away from each other finding it hard to even take in each other's features. Anybody could see that they were both not happy with each other.
While the woman wanted her son to be safe and be away from the dangerous life like her husband, he saw nothing wrong with his son being in the dark world.
He wanted his son to grow and take over the company and have half his share. This would enable him to take over bigger projects.
He was not only looking out for his son but for himself.
"You're doing this for yourself and not for him," she sighed, crossing her arms. "You've always been selfish."
"Mary, not now," he grunted. He had not called her that in a very long time.
