12 System [Chapter 12]

There was currently a stare down happening at the moment in Ryan's apartment, Ryan had just told Natasha that he wanted to be her silent partner on her missions. He admitted to her how when he got there it hurt his heart when he saw her hanging there like that, since then she has been staring at him, the nacho's starting to get cold.

"Why should I let you? You got lucky this time, what are you going to do sleep with everyone to get information when I get caught or something goes wrong?" She said with a roll of her eyes but she was smiling a little under it.

"No I was thinking that you could train me. Fury implied you are the best he has so I was hoping before I go on any missions with you when you have time you could train me in things." Ryan said reaching out to stuff a nacho in his mouth.

She looked him over while also starting to eat her own food realizing it was getting colder, she pondered it over taking what he said into consideration, she was just use to working alone. Or with Clint. She knew that he was only eighteen and had no real experience with the world so she was thinking it might be a good idea, Fury also showed her the videos of him.

"Fine we will need to talk to Fury to get you registered into SHIELD before we can start though." She finally agreed taking out her phone to send him a message about it.

"No," Ryan stopped her which made her raise an eyebrow, "I won't work for whoever you work for. I just want you to train me so that I can help you when you know the situation might end up like that, other then that I will still work my regular job as a cook."

He was fine if it was something big and she would need back up but there was no way he was going to work with whoever she did, he didn't need the hassle of no freedom. That was the past eighteen years of his life there was no was he was going back to a life like that, he would die before someone told him what to do again.

She must have seen something in his eyes cause she nodded, "Fine I will teach you, but whenever there is something like that you will need to go through Fury before you can join me."

Nodding he smiled and they started to eat in comfortable silence again, the occasional moan from Natasha from the food that she was eating. After finishing up the jet lag was catching up to him so Ryan went to take a shower so he could get some sleep.

Moving into his room he saw that Natasha was already in it, standing at the door he watched her a moment, she felt it and looked back over at him raising a brow. Chuckling a little he moved and got into the bed with her, he had to admit it felt better with her sleeping next to him rather then sleeping alone all the time, her body temp was perfect.

Natasha thought the same about him and snuggled into him more not minding it one seconds, she knew there was a little attraction between the two of them but neither was sure yet.

Three Months Later.....

At the moment Ryan was running, he was moving through the trees having made the fatal mistake of crushing a dead twig, now he needed to get away before she found him. Nat had been training him in stealth first, she said it was his biggest flaw since he could do everything else so she was taking all this time to train him in it the best she could.

He also has been learning some guns but still liked to us Ruyi Jingu and hand to hand combat, though he had some success with gun.

That was his current stats with two new skills he bought in the shop that were A Grade Skills, he could have leveled the system but bought those instead. Also he stopped at 999 for everything since he didn't want to look eighteen forever, he would wait a couple of years until he passed that threshold.

At the moment he was saving until 10,000 to upgrade the system again because after that it was another 100,000 each, he just knew if it went to five that it would be 1,000,000. The two new skills were things he bought but only used on real missions so that he could master them without having to be in that situation first.

Shadow Stealth was just something that let him hide in the shadows to be sneaky, it cost 40 soul power a minute to use which is why he upgraded his Intelligence so much. While Shadow Staff was just a fighting skill with staffs, since he was getting little progress making his own with Ruyi Jingu then he was going to speed things up.

He hasn't told Nat about the System yet, they only really worked on training but they have grown closer he even met Clint her only friend two months ago after being together so long. That was going to change though since he already came to terms with how he felt about her, in his heart he already knew that he would die for her.

The only thing is that other then sleeping with him he had no clue how she felt, she wasn't a great spy for no reason since she was able to mask the emotions she felt. Lost in thought he never saw the kick coming, though with his sense's he was able to dodge, which let her sweep the leg and he was on his back looking up at the trees.

"You need to pay more attention to your surroundings.... You are getting better though." She said off handedly sitting down next to him.

Ryan sat there a moment before opening his mouth, "I like you Nat, as more then a friend. I don't know how you feel about me but I would like to give it a try if you are willing to, though I would like to know more about you too since I really only know your name and what you do for a living."

It went quiet after that the only sound happening was the occasional call of an animal and the wind through the trees, twenty miles away his shadows were fighting a bear.

Finally after what felt like forever she spoke, "I am not against it. I would be lying if I said I felt nothing for you, it is true that all we really know is our fighting capabilities and job though." She paused and they both looked at each other, "We will train some more this week, I have a mission next week and when I get back our date will be then. You have that amount of time to plan something out."

Ryan was happy and excited, sure he knew nothing about real feelings but he knew that he had some for her, she was just something that he was drawn to. Smiling he stood up with more energy then he has had ever since they started this training, "Well let's get to work then!" he was pumped.

He didn't notice her smile but she stood up too and then gave him ten minutes to hide before she came to find him, she might not show it but she was also looking forward to this date. The rest of the day was him trying his best to hide with her looking for him then switching, there were times where he used Shadow Stealth to hide himself.

A Week Later...

Inside 'their' apartment Nat was getting ready to take off for her next mission which was a simple watching one, luckily it wouldn't be that long and Clint was going. She was putting the last thing in her bag before she heard his footsteps come up from behind her, she turned and he was standing there with his arms cross.

In one hand though he had a bag which was holding what looked like a bento box, she smiled, he had been doing this every time she went out always making her something to eat. Since she was going to the middle east this time then she was glad to have a meal for the trip.

"Lemon Pepper Chicken Strips with Shrimp Fried Rice and onion soup on the bottom. I know this is just a surveillance mission but be careful, don't want what happen last time to happen again, I might be bettered trained but still have some way to go." Ryan said scratching his cheek while handing her the food.

"Yeah I know, you don't need to be a nag about it. This trip should last through the weekend, but I will message you if it is longer. Hopefully when I come back you will have something planned for our date." Nat said while smiling a little at his nervous expression, walking to him she gave him a quick hug before leaving.

Ryan watched her go and sighed, he rubbed his head in frustration not knowing what to do for this date, he hardly knew the girl even after three months. You would think they would spend more time talking about things they like but really it was easy for them to be comfortable around each other so they didn't need to.

Now since he only had a few days he was going to just wing it and find something that they will both like, he had been spending a lot of time online looking for things to do.

After thinking it over he looked into the system again and this was the messages he saw, he figured that it was time to upgrade the system again since he had nothing else to do. "Alright go ahead and combine the Boxes first then open only one." Ryan said taking a seat in the living room while opening his laptop.

Ever since Nat 'Moved' in things have upgraded a little like having WIFI in the house, and him buying his own laptop, hell half his closest was taken over by her.

Well at the moment he didn't really need those so he kept them in the storage system while letting the system upgrade.

Well it seems like the more it upgrades the more time it will take it only took five days last time this time is double, Ryan also knew that it would be 100,000 next time which would take him awhile to earn. Putting that away for now he looked at his computer he still needed to plan the best first date ever.
