13 Shadow [Chapter 13]

[Time Remaining: 227 Hours 30 Minutes 12 Seconds.]

Ryan looked at the time quickly before going back to his nervous pacing, Nat was going to be back today from her message that she had sent him. He was only nervous because he still wasn't use to the whole feelings things, their date was tomorrow after all.

They decided to give her the rest of today to adjust to being back before doing the date, he has spent this entire time training and learning all the languages she said he needed to know. Calming himself down he sat at the couch and went to work on his menu, it was his dream to open his own restaurant so he was making a menu for it.

After an hour the front door opened and in walked Nat who looked over to him with a teasing smile, "Miss me stranger?" she went over and plopped down next to him looking at what he was doing.

"Yeah, it feels different when you are away. Why couldn't I join you this time when it was just a scouting mission?" He asked saving his current work and looking over to her.

"Because you still haven't learned the language and until it is mastered then there was nothing you could do there anyway, plus I did go near them some and you are still to green." She said reaching forward and getting a Jolly Rancher out of the bowl on the table.

Ryan nodded and watched he pop it into her mouth.

"So did you plan our date then? This will be my first in a long time, I am hoping it is something to look forward to." She said looking over at him.

"Yeah don't worry I got everything settled. It was a little harder since I don't really know what you like to do but I was able to come up with some things." Ryan said with a smile, the nervousness that he was feeling earlier went away.

"Good, I guess we will se how fun it is." She said smiling to him.

The Next Day.......

"No just wear something casual, no need to be all fancy." Ryan said as he was finishing getting dressed in the bathroom yelling back at Nat who was in 'Their' room getting dressed. Twenty minutes later they both met in the living room, "Well M'Lady shall we?" He said putting out his arm.

"Let's!" She said smiling and wrapping her arm around his.

They made their way outside and into the car that was dropped off for them, it was Nat's car that she kept at her safe house, not like she used it though. Ryan had learned to drive already so he took the wheel today, putting on light music they made small talk on the way there.

Thirty minutes later they made it to the best spa house in the city, "I figured you are always busy going out to do things you never get a real chance to relax. I booked a couples spa day that last about three hours where you can relax in a sauna, get a massage, get a facial etc."

"Really? This is first up?" She asked with a raised brow.

"Yes it is, this is just to get you relaxed for the best things that come next so even if it isn't the best just watch." Ryan said with a grin taking her inside and checking in.

They were both led to a room to change their clothes to just some robes, after changing they went into a couple massage. Despite what she felt at first Nat got into it and by the time they were done with the massage she was a puddle of flesh and bones.

When it was over she asked for another while Ryan went to the sauna, "I will be there soon." She said as a different person went in to give her a massage, Ryan could only laugh at that. It wasn't until an hour later that he saw her again, they were both relaxing in chairs getting a facial at the time, she looked more relaxed then he had ever seen her.

"Alright so tell me something about yourself, that you are comfortable telling on a first date." Ryan said when they were left alone in the room.

She paused a moment before speaking, "Really I wouldn't mind telling you all of it but since we are in public then I don't really want to say it all out loud."

"Alright then save it until tonight then, we are having a dinner anyway." Ryan said wanting to hear it all at once from her.

For the last two hours Ryan and Nat enjoyed their time, she even shut of her phone for the day so unless it was an emergency she wouldn't be contacted. Once they got ready to leave she looked over at him with a smile, "So what is next then?" she said looking at him as they sat in the car.

"Well this next one is a little different but fun in my opinion. We are going to.... well you will see when we get there." Ryan said shooting her a teasing grin before going back to watching the rode, but along the way he would sing along with the music which would make her laugh.

After a forty minute drive they made it to where he scheduled the next thing, "Ta-Da! This is something interest that I found while on the internet, it is a Ballet Studio, well obviously. This one is a little different though, in here we are going to learn a quick four hour class of dance then we have to preform to a mini group of people that will come to watch."

He thought this was just a fun idea since it was something they both would have limited tie to do so it wouldn't be the best, it wasn't always fun to be good at everything. When he didn't hear anything he looked over to her and saw that she was in shock, but there was a wide grin on her face as she looked between him and the studio.

"This is amazing." she said squealing a little and reaching over to hug him, then she told him to hurry as she got out of the car faster then he had ever seen her. To be honest he was in a daze a little from her smile but shook it off quick and joined her outside the car heading inside.

The teacher took their payment and then set them up on a side of the room, she was giving it another twenty minutes before starting the class. From what Ryan saw there were other couples already there learning little moves from her teaching assistant who was standing there.

Nat was practically bouncing with excitement as she watched them, she grabbed Ryan's hand and dragged him over before joining them. Ryan could see that this actually wasn't her first time doing this, he was stunned since he didn't know she got training in this too.

Before he could ask her about it they started the class with five other couples, the performance they were giving was for Swan Lake which Ryan knew nothing about. When he saw that Nat was so into it though he tried his best, luckily he was flexible enough to actually do something like this.

For the next four hours they went on learning different parts of the dance, Nat no surprise got the lead which was Odette, the Swan Princess. While surprisingly Ryan got Prince Siegfried, Odette's lover in the performance but since they were all new besides Nat then it wasn't much of a surprise.

When the time came for them to actually preform it Ryan was uncomfortable in the tights but seeing Nat's smile he didn't complain and smiled along with her. An hour later it was all over and it was terrible, Nat was the only good part, everyone else struggled but it was fun.

Leaving Nat was still shaking with excitement, "Oh My Gosh! That was awesome! It felt amazing standing on that stage and being able to act out that part, sure it was small time stuff but it was amazing."

Ryan was a little dazed he had never seen her this excited but he was glad that he did this for her now, smiling he told her they were going to the last place for dinner. This was something he set up earlier after making a call so that their food would be their when they arrived.

He drove deep into the city before stopping in front of a large building, Nat looked confused since it wasn't a restaurant but trusted him and got out of the car to follow. They took the elevator to the top floor then took the side stairs that accessed the roof, Ryan slipped his friend the janitor a fifty who opened the door for them.

Nat gasped seeing what was waiting out there for them, it was a candle light picnic, there was a blanket with pillows spread out and giant picnic basket to the side. Ryan took her hand leading her over and smiling at her the entire way, "All the food was made by me, I figured with this view it would go good with the food."

Nat looked over the edge and she had to agree that it was the best view, it gave an overlook over the whole city, but if you were on your back then you actually saw stars. Smiling she looked over to him, "This is perfect." She leaned into a pillow as he took the basket, she was starved.

"Alright well now that we are eating, we can now talk about all that stuff we need to get out of the way. Do you want to go first or should I?" Ryan said while making her a plate of food after handing her a glass of wine.

"I will............ I kind of know some of your past except for the things that you did when you weren't at home. Sorry, it was something I looked up the moment you joined the gym." She said a little sheepishly but all he did was laugh and nod in response.

"Alright go ahead." Ryan said pulling her into his side as he fed her food.

"Well then...." For the next hour she told him about everything, he was surprised that her childhood was way worse then his, that Red Room was a no. Learning what she did for graduation of that place made him hold her tighter, and learning she wanted to be a mother but couldn't made him cry for her.

Then he remembered the last thing he got out of the Box and smiled, though he would need to wait until the update was done then he could get it out the inventory. After she was done they sat there with him holding her, he told her to tell him her dream, what she would be doing if she didn't need to be a spy anymore.

"Ballerina or Ballet Teacher. That is why I was so happy to dance today, it was something that was always a dream of mine even if I couldn't be super famous with it I at least want to start a school." She said smiling as he played with her fingers.

"How much longer do you need to work with Fury?" Ryan asked wanting to give her that dream, he would be lying if he said he hadn't fallen in love with her at this point.

"I don't know." She whispered and watched the skyline with a heavy sigh leaving her.

"Well no matter what it takes I will give you your dream." Ryan said putting himself in her eyeline looking serious, "You should be doing what you want and not following what others want, so I will try and do something to help you with all this."

Nat smiled and before he knew it she leaned in and kissed him, Ryan only froze a moment before returning it back passionately. They both fell into the kiss not knowing how much time had passed but when they broke apart they were panting and staring into each other eyes.
