8 Hack [Chapter 8]

(A/N: So if you are wondering, cause I don't think I mentioned it, but these are before any of the movies happened so nothing major is happening in the world at the moment. Around here is when he will come across more than that little things with Natasha.)

The next morning when Ryan woke up the first thing he did was check to see how much he got last night while he was sleeping, his strength was amazing so he expected a lot.

[While you were away you have gained 530 Exp and Ability Points. Due to clearing the Hell's Kitchen Sewer it could not be hack at this moment. Your shadow did not die during the night, instead it returned after the hack was stopped.]

Well Ryan thought about it logically and since rats couldn't auto spawn or anything then it was expected for him to be done with the Sewer, sure there were a lot of roach's but they were the same. Nodding at that he went and got ready for work, central park was huge there was no way that his shadow would be able to clear it today.

Though he did expect that by the time he got home he would have enough for the second shadow, as his strength went up it was going to be easier for him to clear these places. There was some even for water but he wasn't going to mess with those at the moment, he didn't know what to expect from those.

While walking down the street his system spoke up at that moment.

[Due to your world being chaotic and the personality of the host Missions available.]

[Mission #1: Save one hundred people from being attacked in the city, be the person who defends those who can't defend themselves.

Reward: $1,000 cash

Penalty: None these are optional the system will never push you to do what you don't want.]

Reading this Ryan was shocked a little but seeing the message in the Penalty he was relieved, he wasn't going to become a hero that went around saving people. But he would save people that couldn't defend themselves from situations that they can't control themselves.

Nodding he decided to work on that tonight, plus it was free money for him, though he would have been happier with some Exp Points and Ability points. Then again since they were optional he could understand that if he didn't do them then nothing would change, but those points would be more reason to do it.

He would start on it tonight actually since it got him out of the house and into a different routine, with a new objective for the night he smile. In actually he was missing Natasha then he let on so he didn't really want to go home until he got use to being alone again.

Once he got to work he started automatically on the Hack, he figured maybe one of these days he should go and do it himself again but he didn't know when.

[Shadow POV]

If Ryan looked at the shadow at this moment he would notice that it seemed different, what the system didn't tell him was that it actually got way smarter then it actually was. From the experience last night it headed for the ant piles that it use to attack, though it didn't remember the last attacks it still knew where they were.

Going through the blades of grass it finally reached there, if it had a face it would be shocked at this moment seeing what was in front of it because the ants upgraded. Though it was stupid ants adapted and they had certainly thought about him coming back.

This would shock Ryan too if he knew.

The ants base was a the bottom of a hollow tree, at the moment they had merged with the bullet ants, they knew the danger and decided to join forces. The tree was hidden in a cluster in the park so no on really came by but they would stare at this in weirdness if they knew what these ants were doing.

At the moment the ant pile was like an army base with ants stationed at different places watching, they seemed to notice the shadow though since it was in the open. Coming back to itself the shadow launched out at them seeing that it couldn't hide, it jumped right into the swarm.

The shadow was surprised that they sent the smaller normal soldiers of the red fire ants, while the bullet ants moved in when they had him distracted. It was like they had planned and strategized for some days in order to get this accomplished, it was a headache.

Hours later the shadow had lost an arm to the swarm making Gentle Fist a little lacking, but it was still alive as it moved further into the base. It's aim was to kill the queens so that they would fall, he didn't expect to be up against so many though that he would lose an arm.

At the moment he killed over three hundred Grade One's and over five hundred Grade 2 Bullet ants, this was crazy for it but it pushed on since all that was left was the Queens. Walking to the hollow part where they were at the moment there was four queens who were watching it with caution, without a thought it went to finish them though.

This fight was quick since there was only four of them and they had no real fighting ability it was because they had stronger pincers that they were grade four. When it was done the shadow came back out the ant pile and looked to the sky it was getting darker, this was a problem.

At night is when the stronger things came out, though it had more strength it only had one arm which would limit it, the only it could use was Renewal to get it through the night.

[Ryan POV]

At the moment I had no clue what the shadow was doing or thinking, I was on my way home to shower and dress in something different for the little mission I had. Since I reached Master in cooking and Knife work my job responsibilities went up, the head chef accused me of not using my full potential when I interviewed for the job but was happy.

After showering when I got home I put on a black hoodie and that covered my face well enough, then I put on all the black clothes I had before heading out. I actually didn't know where to start this but moved around hoping to come across something, I stuck to the bad side of town and the edges since it was most likely to happen there.

An hour after not finding anything I was walking towards where I new drug dealers were but stopped, to the side I could hear the whimper of a woman an scuffling feet. This was different from when I saved Natasha, this woman was scared out of her mind with torn clothes as they tried to rape her, moving closer inside I looked it over.

There were two guys with crown tattoos on their wrist or neck, meaning they were apart of the Kings, a ruthless gang that dealt in everything from drugs to people. They really didn't have a problem with what they did, this was a problem for me though.

Sure I could beat them but they always carried guns, and seeing one of them threaten the girl with one I knew that they were the real deal. The guns weren't the problem but the gun shots would be.

"Hold her hands down man, need to test the quality before we turn her over, might actually make a pretty penny for her." The one who was trying to get his pants off said to his buddy.

"Alright man, hurry though Candy will get pissed if we are late to come in we have to move big product tonight." the other said moving to hold her arms down so she couldn't get away.

I sighed before rushing in, they didn't even have time to react as I kicked the first guy in the head, he hit the brick wall and all we heard was a crunch before he no longer moved. "Shit!" The other yelled fumbling for his gun.

Not letting him get to it I went and used gentle fist getting to eight palms before he gushed up blood and fell over, guess his normal body couldn't handle it. Shrugging I looked back to the woman who was staring at me in fear but also gratefully, tilting my head I wondered if she could see me but she didn't seem to be able to.

"Call the cops and report what happen here, the second one shouldn't be dead.....yet. Or don't call your choice. Just tell them someone helped you no need to go into much detail." I told her making sure she got fully dressed and dialed the cops before taking off again.

With my strength I was moving at incredible speeds, I wanted to get out of there before someone showed up, in this territory Kings could show up at any moment. Moving along I saved a few more people some getting mugged or another rape before calling it a night.

Heading back towards my apartment, which I was miles away from, I smiled proud of myself for the good deeds, it was refreshing. While walking the system spoke up at that moment.

[Shadow has died in a gruesome fight. You have gained 1,670 Exp and Ability points. Would you like to restart the hack by reviving the Shadow or sending in a new one?]

"What do you mean by reviving the Shadow?" I asked coming closer to my place.

[Since the system upgrade Shadow's can now be revived. When they are revived they keep all the experience and knowledge from their last hack, upgrading their combat potential a lot.]

[Would you like to Revive dead Shadow or start a new hack?]

Well that was a surprise but a good one I thought, "Does it cost anything?"

[200 Ability points it is double for each revive, it carries over.]

It wasn't much, "Go ahead and do it while starting the hack again for central park. Also use the gained points and buy the second shadow while sending it out too." I thought since I had them might as well do it, plus within a night I will get double the Exp and Ability Points.

[Shadow bought.]

Seeing two shadow take off from me I smiled while going to shower again for the night, I got all sweaty from going out and doing this. Going into my room I got ready for bed but the system took that moment to speak up about something.

[System should tell host since he has 200 hundred in one stat, at 1,000 your lifespan will increase by one hundred years and you will no longer age.]

I was stunned seeing this, it wasn't a bad thing I would love to stay young forever but it was a shock seeing it, slowly a smile crept out on my face. "Is that all or is there more to it, like what happens if it is at 2,000?"

[Every thousand you increase you stats you will gain 100 years, at 100,000 you will gain immortality or choose not to accept it and just keep increasing your lifespan. You are thinking to far ahead though first you must survive in this weird world you live in before you can think of that, you are still no where near the strongest being in this universe.]

"You said universe... what about planet." I didn't care about the universe as long as that strong being didn't mess with me then I was fine with them doing as they pleased.

[On earth until your stats reach at least 500 you are still in the lower class, at 15,000 you will match the strongest person on Earth.]

"Who is that?" I asked wondering if they live near me.

[You have never met them so the system can not tell you, The Shadow Hack System just has the information but it can not tell you specifics unless you have met that person.]

'Well that isn't any help and sucks.' I thought rolling my eyes then went to sleep ignoring the system since it can't tell me anything really useful
