Why are you talking?!!!

"Cooooolllllddd...."she sang with chattering teeth. "Ahh, my new clothes, my new shoes, my lovely hair. Who asked me to go and look, I should have just minded my own business and gone home". She started swimming to shore making sure to drag her bags of clothes and shoes with her. She swam to shore and looked around her.

She was standing on a rocky shore with rock like hills around her. There were no grasses growing around. The whole place was just barren. There was no end to the shore from where she was standing. She shivered and then looked down on her clothes. She was dressed in a cotton shirt and skin tight jeans which were completely soaked.

"Where am I? Have I just encountered some kind of new scientific portal or something? or did somebody knock me out and throw me into the river?" she wondered. She thought the colors and pain she encountered were hallucinations caused by the hit on her head. "At least I'm safe and no one is around here". She has always been a person who decides on a course of action and follows it so she decided to first eat some chocolate in her handbag as she was very hungry.

After snacking on chocolate she decided to look for signs of people. Her shopping bags containing her new stuff was soaked with water making it exceedingly heavy for her to carry and walk about. She refused to part with her new stuff and she couldn't carry it so she decided to dry them in the sun as the weather was a bit hot.

She figured the time would be past noon looking at the position of the sun on the sky. She spread her clothes and shoes on the rocks surrounding her to dry. She wanted to dry the clothes she was wearing but she was too self conscious so she started jumping up and down to make the clothes she was wearing to dry faster. She jumped, turned about, squeezed and repeated the circle.

As she was behaving foolishly like this, she heard a snicker like somebody trying to hold back laughter. She froze and turned about. "who's there?" she whispered. No answer. She grew cold under the sun and gathered her self to run. She took a foot of one of the new shoes she bought, a stiletto and held it in front of her as a weapon. Her heart was pounding. "show yourself, d..don't be a coward, come out and meet me" she shouted this time.

She heard a noise behind her and turned so fast that she felt dizzy only to see a dog-like animal come out from behind a rock. It was small and cute. She thought the animal was lost and she heard a noise made by the animal mistaken for a snicker "Aww, are you lost, where are your owners, come here boy" she said dropping her stiletto and moving gently towards the 'dog'.

The dog shaked its fur and said "this blessed one doesn't have any owners". "Ahhhhhhhhhh!!!!!" she screamed. Her heart fell in her throat and she jumped back into the river from fright. The "dog" made a sound which sounded like laughter" why did you go back into the water after spending so much time drying your clothes". She screamed again "Why are you talking?!!!" and swam towards the middle of the river. She looked back and saw the 'dog' staring at her with a smiling expression. She did not feel any hostility from it. She felt foolish from running from a small and harmless looking puppy.

She swam back to the shore leaving a distance between the both of them and looked at the 'dog'. She felt she was running mad, from one strange occurrence to another. She gathered her emotions and decided to speak.
