77 [Chapter 77] Reaping Benefits And God Talk

Suddenly, the pain is gone, and is replaced by a chilling aura of rage. I am filled beyond what's human, suddenly, the guy who had a relaxed look moments before becomes stiff as his eyes constrict and stare into the blood. Suddenly, a being launched from the pillar of blood and hits the barrier with tremendous force, causing him to be launched against the wall in the hall behind him.

He looks up just to see a being above him, completely white, with a foggy black cloak draped across it, and where the two eyes would be, two burning purple flames fill its sockets of what looks to be a skeleton.

'I need to run. I need to run! I NEED TO RUN!' He thinks as he goes to stand up, about to run, when suddenly, he can't get up. "Why can't I get up?!" He yells as he looks down at his legs in fear before his pale face becomes sheet white, his legs are no longer there, they are now being held by the one being he was staring at, the grim reaper, who now held a scythe with the symbol of a skull on it. Ethereal smoke rises from the scythe, black and white, as if there are hundreds of souls trapped within.

He immediately begins to transform while yelling, "I AM NOT GOING DOWN WITHOUT A FIGHT!" As if it's his last desperate attempt at survival. Everyone in the room is staring at the being of death with shock before Dreag mumbles, "Just what the heck are you Kurayami?"

Winter stares at the reaper with a grim face. But her eyes burn with a fire never seen before. "If this is what magic is capable of, I am going to learn it. I am going to learn everything I can!"

Suddenly, a chilling voice resounds from the skeleton. "You thought you could kill me, now the roles are reversed, and you shall pay for your sins, every single one. From bullying kids like Samantha, to killing those that were against you, you shall pay for everything."

Mike stares at it, the abomination of a creature standing in front of this grim master. Scales cover the creature from head to toe as fur lines the back of each limb it has. The webbing it has clings underneath its limbs, its arms and tail covered in scales. Its head has a snout but has bat ears bent back as it lunges at the cloaked being, it's massive 8 foot frame barely fitting in the hallway, and it's legs back.

Students gather at the ends of the hallway again, but this time, their faces are filled with horror as they stare at the fight that is about to happen, or so would you think. As Mike flies through the air, he clenches his fist and punches with full force causing his hand's scales to turn silver and blood to cover it. Wind circulated around the punch as he releases it at the cloaked being, just for a skeletal hand to grab it, it to twirl around while simply saying in its chilling voice. "Let me show you a real threat." Before swinging him straight into the wall with a thud. Suddenly, the creature coughs blood as it's eyes turn bloodshot.

"I am far from done, this is only to warm you up for the real torture Mike Tohasky." The hybrid stares at the skeletal figure with fear filling his face. "How?! How do you know?! I have never told anyone my last name! No one!"

The reaper cackles before it points it's scythe blade at its sockets. "The eyes, it's the eyes that give me a pathway to your soul, that is enough chat, after all, your way passed expired." The reaper says as it's scythe is brought up before being swung down, at first, nothing happens, then suddenly, the werewolf starts to howl, the howl gradually becomes a scream as he begins to hold his head, before suddenly, a grey wisp floats from his mouth and his body becomes still.

"Poor soul, tainted by your sins. But you must pay with, how did you put it? Ah yes, an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth." It cackles as the soul screams and enters the skull on the scythe, it momentarily glows red, before becoming it's usual white color.

The gods stare at the one part of the planet, sadly, the majority cannot see what is going on, but it is different for the scaled couple as their faces go from confused to full horrific.

The other gods hurriedly ask, "What's going on?"

"Is something wrong?"

"What is happening?"

Droke clears his throat as he looks over at the other beings, "We might of awakened the wrong being. It's a king reaper."

All the gods face's go sheet white as they hear the name. "A-a king reaper...are you sure?" Saluma nods before her husband can react. "We are 95% sure."

Suddenly, the gods saw hope, "And the other 5%?" The orc with tattoos asks, his eyes hopeful.

Her face turns even grimmer, "We could of awoken a being far beyond a regular god."

"..."

Currently, Solica's thoughts are a train wreck right now. 'That can't be, I am sure he was an average kid.'

'But he wasn't average, now was he? That was why I chose to help him.'

'He isn't from the planet originally, even if I told them he reincarnated, they wouldn't believe me. That is the first step to god hood, being reincarnated.'

Suddenly, the loli is awoken from her internal conflict by another voice.

"Is something wrong Solica?"

She suddenly looks over to see a large man looking at her. He is wearing a gold night gown and has a kind face. He looks old but definitely a being of strength.

"I'm fine David, thank you." She says as she nods at him, suddenly putting on an air of calmness.

"You truly tried to lie to me Solica? Hah, it was a good effort, now what is wrong?"

She clenches her teeth and stares at the planet. "I am certain that this king reaper isn't a king reaper, but a being meant to become a god." He waits for a moment before nodding, as if he expected this.

David, known as the god of dreams and truth, if you speak to him, he will always be able to tell if it is a truth or lie, even if it's a god.

"I am amazed then, it has truly been too long since a new god came into existence, and one that is able to mimic the power of a king reaper."

For some reason, Solica and David are the only two god's able to remember their reincarnation while all others seemed to of forgotten. But one thing is for sure, reapers avoid them like the plague, and they can only come up with this reason.

They stare down at the planet, wondering what is to come of this new being, before being reminded that they aren't the only ones here.

"We need to try and destroy it." Droke says as he stares down at the growing fluctuations of power on the planet. Everyone stares at him as if he has gone mad.

"Are you kidding me?! Kill a being that can even kill gods? Where is your mind?" The Orc says, it's face in disbelief.

"If it was your planet, I would help you defeat it!" He snaps back, clearly showing his feelings as well. Suddenly, a young voice appears behind them, "Leave it, the king reaper will leave soon, don't worry."

He turns around to see Solica staring at him. "What do you mean?" He asks, his voice filled with confusion and anger.

She points at the fluctuations, "I can't see them but that is where the fluctuations are happening, right? I can feel them and it's getting weak, then strong, then weak again. Power doesn't have that large of spikes, it's usually very consistent, which means that it can't be a true king reaper, something is going on with it which means it will most likely die off very soon, just leave it be and watch." She says as she stares at Droke, her face as serious as it can be.

He stands there, contemplating before nodding. "Alright, we will watch, but if they become more stable or increase in strength, I am going to have to try and kill it."

She simply nods and they watch, the power fluctuations wavering uncertainly.

In the cube, everyone watches as suddenly, hundreds of white souls flow from the reapers shadow, soundlessly. But the reaper pays no attention to them as it slowly walks towards the room it came from. Dreag stands there, his arms and legs in a fighting stance, ready to fight, sweat dripping from his head.

The skull speaks, its chilling voice echoing throughout the room. "Calm down Dreag, I will not harm you, for you did not harm Kurayami."

As he finishes, he looks up. "The gods are watching us right now, me specially. I am about to disappear and I will be replaced by my container, Kurayami. Take care of him, for this form is very taxing." And as his words finish echoing throughout the room, a black fog suddenly emits from the skeleton, enveloping it completely.

Suddenly, the fog disappears and Kurayami falls to the ground, unconscious.
