13 Fighting a C ranker 1.

Four big white bears came from the four directions to the battlefield. They surrounded the armored boy and blocked his escape route. As if they had a strategy. But beasts can't develop intelligence until they reach the A rank.

The four bears attacked with their ice thorns which crossed paths while reaching the boy. If you were watching from the sky you could see a large X letter drawn on the ground.

The boy was able to defend the thorns coming from the front with his big shield. As for the thorns coming from the other directions they crushed straight with his armor. They managed to pierce his arms and legs, as the armor wasn't very thick in those parts to let the fighters move easily.

"Yassir!!" the two archers shouted at the same time while rushing toward the battlefield.

Adam was still refining his inner energy with his new skill. When he suddenly heard noisy cracking sounds combined with screams. He opened his eyes after hours of meditation. The refining process went smoothly until he was interrupted by the noise.

"This must be the sounds of battle. Maybe the beasts are fighting over their territories. Or could it be another hunter like me? Anyway, this is not my business. I need to return home to resume my training, if I knew it was all about meditation I wouldn't have come to the forest." Adam said to himself. "But what if the screams belonged to a human who needs my help. You are no superhero, Adam. Just go home and resume your training. After all, you are just a D ranker."

"Didn't I say: helping the weak is the strong's duty. I have to go." Adam finally decided.

"Inner Energy Feet." Adam activated a skill he created himself after learning Inner Energy Fist. the skill used inner energy to increase the feet' power so Adam was able to jump from a tree to another.

"Energy arrows" the two archers used their skills to distract the four white bears. they kept throwing arrows made of inner energy to the bears' weak parts with outstanding accuracy. they could generate three arrows each time. One of the arrows managed to pierce a white bear's eye. The arrow wasn't able to kill him but it was enough to withdraw the bears' attention.

The archers knew they couldn't kill D rank beast with their level. But they wanted to help their leader Yassir who was trapped in the ice thorns.

But when the beasts started to run toward the two archers an ear-piercing scream came out of Yassir's mouth.

"Runaway! I have activated my ability: the Sound of Provocation. The bears won't chase you until they kill me." Yassir said to his friends through the earphone.

"What are you saying we are not leaving you here alone." the archer jumped off the trees and headed toward Yassir who is surrounded again with the bears.

"No, don't come. There is nothing you two can do. So please don't get yourself killed. I was too arrogant and didn't listen to your warnings."

One of the four big white beasts jumped very high and tried to attack Yassir with his big sharp claws. But before it could land his attack a dark fist smashed the beast's jaw and threw him away.

Adam used inner energy feet to jump like a rocket so he managed to stop the bear from attacking. While flying he directed his inner energy to his fist and used inner energy fist to strengthen his punch.

He stood tall in front of the three remaining big white bears while covering Yassir with his back. He was wearing a mask he made out from his shirt to hide his identity. He knew the moment he would reach the battlefield all the dead beasts' shadows will fly toward him. After he absorbed more than a hundred of dead E rank and two D rank white bears, he felt his power increase tremendously.

Yassir and his friends weren't the only ones scared by the sight of the shadows even the beasts were frightened.

The beasts started screaming as they tried to run away. But Adam wasn't willing to let such a delicious meal go away.

"Inner energy legs." Adam jumped high in the sky then slammed the running white beast in the head with the back of his shoe.

The beast's crane was crashed as it fell dead on the ground.

Adam finished the three D-rank bears in no time with the same strategy. Then he headed back to Yassir and his friends after absorbing the three shadows.

"You'd better escape right now before more beasts come. The strong blood scent of D-rank beasts will draw stronger beasts' attention." Adam said to the heavily injured armored boy and his friends who were helping him to walk. He tried to change his voice so that his classmate, Yassir, wouldn't recognize him.

"Yes, sir. Thank you for saving us."Yassir said." Please, can you tell me your name? I, the son of the Golden Lions Family, wants to reward you for what you did. Please tell me what do you want."

"No, I didn't save you to be rewarded, and I don't give a shit about your identity. You shouldn't fight against D ranks beasts when you are just an E ranker. Also, who on earth would wear such heavy armor without a helmet. Do you think you are the hero of a fantasy game? "

"I thought you were a righteous hero. But it looks like I have mistaken. Cause you are just jerk. If you just want to mock me why did you even save me in the first place. I would rather die than be treated like this."

"Brother Yassir, please don't make him angry. He can kill us in every moment."

"I am not afraid of dying," Yassir replied.

"I won't kill you even with that big tongue of yours, don't worry," Adam said while going away. But suddenly, he felt a strong bloodthirst coming from the woods.

"Run! A strong enemy is coming." Adam warned.

"What? I can't sense anything." one of the archers who was known to have sharp senses said.

When the group looked at the direction of the sound. They saw the most hideous monster they have ever seen. It was a lump of clay in humanoid form. The clay monster transformed into dirty slime as it headed toward the nearest D-rank white bear's corpse. The beast ignored the boys and just kept eating his food. It swallowed the corpse that was twice its size in no time as it got bigger. Then it moved to the next D rank bear. The clay slime got bigger every time it swallowed a D rank bear.

"We should retreat quickly. I bet we will be this beast's next target after he finishes eating all the corpse." Adam said. But the moment the group started running, the clay slime who became as big as a house, split into two. Then into four and began his pursuit.
