Prelude To Chaos pt 3

Backflipping out the way, a Dano clone watched as its previous position was pelted with missiles courtesy of a three-pointer robot.

Honestly it kind of astonished Dano that a school would let potential students fight robots of this caliber.  While the "missiles' ' weren't even close to the firepower of its military variant, they still held enough kick to them to damage or even seriously injure someone if they took a direct hit.

While not particularly a problem for them, various Danos had already saved numerous students from injury.

Leaning to the left as a metal fist tried to crack his cranium open, a one-pointer this time, the clone quickly put some distance between himself and the aggressive robots.

Looking around, the clone noticed himself being surrounded by numerous one-pointers with the three-pointer in the back acting as ranged support.

' How annoying.' He thought with a tsk.

Picking up a nearby piece of metal the clone quickly calculated its shot before expertly throwing it towards the three-pointer, quickly ending its existence with a well-placed shot to its eye.

'One down five more to go.' Mentally mused the clone as he scanned the one pointer for the buttons which deactivated them.

Most buttons were on the back of the robot necks, with some exceptions. The three-pointers for instance lacked one, with the two pointers varying from robot to robot.

Leaning back like a certain character from a long-forgotten movie, Dano managed to avoid a metal fist that would have popped him out of existence.

Sliding under the robot who had assailed him, the clone slid up the robot like a snake before pressing it's deactivation button.

Using the robot's falling stature as a springboard, the clone leaped onto the nearest one-pointer and repeated the process until all the surrounding one-pointers were deactivated.

Landing on the ground with a huff, Dano grinned at seeing his handy work. While he could just break through the armor of the bots to defeat them(they really aren't that impressive) doing so wasn't his style.

The original was aware of the limitations of both himself and the clones. They had levels of physical strength those without rigorous training or enhancement-type quirks couldn't dream of reaching, but they were still only human.

A gunshot could still kill them, a sword could still cut them, and a strength quirk could still crush them. But that wasn't debilitating.

Not for them at least.

Taking a cursory glance around himself, the clone nodded before popping out of existence, returning to the mind of the original.

.....

"What a fascinating young lad," said the Principle of UA with a smile.

Nezu, the principle of UA, was a fascinating creature with his nature being rather unknown to most. His appearance alone said as much with it being a mixture of various animals.

Around him, various teaching staff were monitoring the practical exams given to the potential students-to-be through monitors. Each staff member occasionally gave comments regarding a student's potential or lack thereof.

However, Nezu having said such a thing out loud caught the attention of those around him. It's not every day the animal hybrid would vocally admit his curiosity over a person. A quirk? Maybe.

But a person? While not unheard of, it was definitely rare.

Turning her head from the monitor from which she was observing a random student, Midnight the R18 hero,  glanced at the student in question.

The student wasn't that tall, standing at 5"10', he had black messy hair that flowed with the artificially made winds of the exam area, piercing sky blue eyes, a handsome face, and well-built body that showed rather clearly through his tracksuit.

This of course was our protagonist Dano Touma, who at the current moment was simply sitting down in a meditative position at the starting position.

Raising an eyebrow, Midnight was curious why Nezu was interested in this young man who seemed not to be doing anything, but before she could even ask the super-intelligent animal simply pointed out another screen nearby which showed the same person, though this one was fighting several one-pointers.

" A clone quirk?" Asked another voice.

At this point, several other teachers had focused their attention on this young boy.

The person who asked the question was Ectoplasm.

"Yup! Though that's not what makes it so fascinating! Look there." Nezu said pointing out two monitors.

Both monitors showed a clone of Dano struggling with six three-pointers at once.

However, it was only after one of the clones got hit with a missile and disappeared with a poof did things get interesting.

Immediately, the other clone improved his strategy, and even reaction time. In less than a second, the clone went from struggling to being on par with the six robots.

It took a moment for some of the teachers to understand what had just occurred, but when they did their eyes widened at the possibilities.

Nezu simply smiled wickedly at the reactions of his staff. All the while thinking about the potential of the new student.

Oh, there was no doubt young Touma would be accepted.

Nezu could tell it wasn't just memory transference, there'd be no increase in reaction speed if it was just that, rather it seemed that it was a transfer of the mind.

Multiple minds in a single body. Each mind makes Dano smarter and smarter.

It made him excited. Would he finally get an intellectual rival? Someone who understood how agonizing his quirk was to live with?

' I wonder, just how smart are you Touma?'

Here's another chapter for ya'll
