10 chapter 10: The Hunt Has Begun

Back at the base Leo walked of his living quarters with a smirk on his face. Ren and Persephone were talking in the corner, while Joben and Jun were carrying the drunken Dai to another room. Everyone else was either sleeping or they were drinking like they would on any other day. Just then Leo called everyone to the war room. After a few minutes of Ren slapping Dai across the face to make him wake up Leo

began talking about their plan of action. "Because of the recent events that have occured over the past few days I have decided that we all need to get stronger. Now as you all know us shadow casters get stronger by absorbing the shadow energy of other shadow casters. Now we can only get this strength boost permanently by defeating other shadow casters. Luckily we have 4 across town, now to ensure that we get the maximum amount of power from this mission I will split us up into 4 groups of 3. First group is Joben,Ren and Ito." Ito looked at Joben and Ren before sighing and thinking to himself. 'This kid and that jackass are my group this is such a fucking drag.' "Group 2 is Me,Persephone, and Jeff,  group 3 is Dai,Aiko and Kauai. And finally group 4 is Akame,Jun, and Aramis. Now that this is all settled let's get to it!" Leo clapped his hands together and everyone scattered into the directions of their shadow caster opponents.

Akame, Jun, and Aramis began walking in the location of their shadow caster. There was dead silence between then as Aramis was the one to break the silence. "So um it's kind of awkward right now so someone please say something." Jun turned his head towards Aramis. "I should not have to say anything when I have nothing to say to you or the sister of that dumbass." Akame got very angry by what Jun said about Aiko. "Aiko is not a dumbass! Just because she's anti social and doesn't like talking to bitchmade retards such as yourself doesn't make her a dumb." Akame was cut off by the landing of the shadow caster they were looking for. The female with pink hair looked around before seeing the group of 3. "So I guess you guys are my targets, um my names Saiki nice to meet you. Sorry to have to fight you in such a horrible circumstance. Anyways I'm going to kill you now." She dashed at Aramis who created a hammer made out of shadow mass and swung it at Saiki.But Saiki dodged it with ease from behind her Jun launched his shadow at her in an attempt to consume her but she turned around and elbowed him in the face. She then grabbed Akame who was trying to attack her from above but Saiki grabbed her from out of the air and slammed her into the ground. 

Aramis looked at Saiki surprised at her actions. "She dodged all of our attacks flawlessly even the ones she couldn't see it's like she can see into the future." Saiki laughed to herself before being hit in the arm by Juns shadow which promptly consumed her arm whole which caused her to drop Akame. Saiki looked at her missing arm confused before making a new one out of shadow energy. But before she can react she was hit in the side by a hammer made by Aramis and stabbed through Akame who created a shadow sword and a shadow that promptly kicked Saiki up in the air and directly down onto Jun to stabbed his shadow through her chest beginning to eat her from the inside out. Aramis chuckled for a bit. 'If she dodged even one of our attacks it would have been fatal.' She sighed before wondering how everyone else was doing. As she thought this she,Jun and Akame absorbed pieces of Saikis shadow making them all stronger.

Dai,Aiko and Kauai had already found their shadow caster thanks to Kauai who scouted out the area before hand easily finding the shadow caster. This short man with long hair and pale white Skin was currently swinging a large axle at Dai who was barely holding it back as he was only multiplying his physical capabilities x2. Aiko was on top of a building gathering up shadow energy from the moon waiting for a chance to strike. Kauai tried to attack this shadow caster with a kick to the side of his head but he didn't even flinch from it as he swatted her away sending her flying into a car which began leaking oil. Dai amped himself x5 but the man punched him up into the air he then jumped up into the air and kicked him through a building which then fell on Dai knocking him out. The mysterious man sighed. "Now that the brute is down I can focus on the other two. The man looked down at Kauai who was blasted into the air as the car she was slammed into exploded. The man jumped up and brought his boot down into Kauai's face slamming her into the ground nearly killing her. He then looked around in search of Akame. When he looked around again Akame was in front of him now with bright glowing skin and eyes as white as the moon. She kicked him in the stomach sending him flying backwards, she then appeared above him and began beating the man deeper in deeper into the ground.

She was punching in the area of his heart and lungs so he was slowly losing air. Akame then dug her hands into the chest of the man and picked him up slowly while she had one hand rapidly punching his side. "This is for Kauai, and Dai and everyone else that you have beaten or killed in your life. She then grabbed his heart inside his chest and began squeezing until it bursted in her hands. She began smiling as she began passing out and shadow energy went into her and Dai. "I did it guys i….I did it." With that Akame fully passed out hoping the others were doing better than they were.Leo,Persephone, and Jeff were searching for their shadow caster as they still hadn't found them yet. Jeff was fidgeting with his thumbs before asking out of nowhere. "Hey guys, you think that I'm useless when it comes to fighting shadow casters. I mean my powers aren't exactly meant for combat and I haven't exactly done that much when it comes to fights." Leo sighed before putting his hand on Jeffs shoulder. "Come on Jeff you're not useless you're just." Leo cut himself off as he saw the shadow caster they were looking for. "There she is we gotta get her!" Leo dashed at the female who swiftly dodged his attack, the female then counterattacked with an attack aimed at Leo's vital organs specifically his lungs. "Too predictable though everything you all do is predictable when facing me. My name is Chi Tauo and I shall be the bringer of your doom." Leo dashed at the female again who again counter attacked him this time attacking his ribs causing a crackage. Seeing that the shadow caster was preoccupied with Leo, Jeff jumped into the air and tried to punch her but he was hit in his ribs, spine, and lungs before being hit in the stomach knocking him out. Chi turned to Persephone and dashed at her grabbing her neck and beginning to choke her out. "Once I'm done with you I'll kill the rest of your friends." Persephone struggled to talk as she was getting choked out. "You'll have a hard time….doing that when your brain is dead." Persephone caused her shadow to go inside Chis brain and began erasing everything from her parents, to her childhood to how to breathe. Chi began to stop breathing until she died of air loss her shadow energy going into everyone on the scene. 

Finally in the last group Joben was arguing with Ren. It was an argument about who was stronger between the two of them. Both of them were on the opposite spectrum thinking they were stronger. "Who kicked who's ass again Joben?" "You only beat me because you had some weird ass assault. If it weren't for that I would have whooped your ass properly. In fact I actually did." Ren couldn't exactly argue Jobens point but just as he was about to say something Ito cut him off. "C-come o-o-on guys l-lets n-n-not fight t-t-thats not what we a-game h-h-here to-to do." Joben and Ren stopped arguing and just as they stopped they finally found their shadow caster who was sitting there as if he was waiting for them. They walked up to him and he looked up smirking. "What's up you jack offs the names Raiden, I'm gonna beat your asses then take the kid there's body back to." Before he could finish his sentence Ren had punched him in the face as hard as he could sending him into a building and seemingly killing him. "That was easier than I expected." He looked back at the body of the man who had disappeared. The real man stepped from behind a building and sighed. "I didn't expect you to kill my clone that easily but no matter you'll all die the same." His eyes darted around the battlefield before seeing Ito he thought that he was the weakest member and dashed at him aiming a punch for his gut. Just then Ito created a blade made out of shadow and lowly said. "Shadow counter." There was a slight pause before the man's attack was sent back at him with 3x the force sending him backwards. Ren then appeared above the man and punched him in the head right after Joben coated the man in shadow and began absorbing his energy. A little annoyed by what was happening the man simply broke out of Jobens shadow. He then dashed at Ito faster than he could react punching him so hard in the stomach his kidney bursted open leaving him comatosed. He then appeared in front of Ren grabbing his face and slamming it into his knee over and over again leaving him with a broken nose. He then kicked him in his side nearly breaking his ribs and threw him up into the air jumping up and punching him downwards. He then tried to bring his fist down on Ren but Joben jumped in front of it getting a whole punched through him. Ren's eyes went as wide as they could when at the sight. "JOBEN NOOOOOOOOO! WHY WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT!! YOU FUCKING IDIOT!!" Joben turned around and smirked "Its...its because I can't let anyone else whoop your ass until he got our rematch hehe." With that Joben fell onto the ground blood all across his body. Ren looked down at Joben tears flowing down his face. He looked up at Raiden angry as ever. "Your gonna die today you son of a bitch!" Ren dashed at Raiden clashing fist with him the boost in rage he had gotten made the two shadow casters near evenly matched in strength. Back on the ground Joben brought his bloody Red hand above his face. 'Red...the same color of the blood leaking out of me....the same color of the person closest to me.' A lady with red hair caressed a child Jobens face while smiling. "So you really got an A+++++-+?" A child version of Joben very excited at this smiled. "Yeah of course I did mom isnt it great." The red haired lady laughed. "Yeah it's absolutely amazing, but before anything else I need you to promise me one thing. The child Joben smiled more as his eyes sparkled a bit. "Anything mom." The red haired woman again caressed his face lovingly. "Make sure you grow up into a big strong boy for me? Ok Joben?" The child Joben grinned from ear to ear. "Of course I will mom anything for you."
