The Irony (They call me worthless)

She opened her almond brown eyes with a little hint of pink in them. Her eyes were puffy it seemed like she didn't sleep well and when she got time to sleep, she has spent a quality time in crying by letting her sorrows out.

Her step mother shouted from downstairs as she groaned in frustration and spoke, "Ahhh not early in the morning Mrs Shah. I already have a bad day to deal with."

Being an Asian is an Irony in itself, neither one is independent nor one is allowed to be dependent. It gets even worse when a person is a girl and least favored in her surroundings.

The beauty and brain that can be a blessing for anyone can be a curse for such girl. This is the irony of Pakistanis. The drawback of being a Pakistani. Unfortunately each and every problem was the problem of Raven's life.

Just like her name her life was dark. A stepmother, a stepsister, a manner less stepbrother and the worst father what else could she imagine to have a horrible home.

Things were not just messed up till home. She thought maybe life would be like a movie when she goes to school but it was even more horrible in case of friends. After all it was Lahore where people have masks behind masks. What could she expect from such people ? The irony was she could have fitted in very easily only if she dropped her values the last thing given by her mother to her before she died.

She bared it all and lived with her dramatic fantasies until high school in the hope that she might get at least once a true friend. At last, she could get one but this was the turning point of her life when she realized the taste of betrayal for the first time. She felt used, humiliated and embarrassed. She understood by the time that there aint anything such as friends.

Time went on, her miseries kept increasing on till the time she became a nerdy bookworm. The only thing that calmed her was reading the love stories and desiring one story for herself. The destiny still was ironic because she always wished for a vampire, quiet complicated she was. As she wanted to stay in her own world with her dreamy imaginations but the world would not let her breathe. At home useless bickering and taunts, at school her beauty got her many enemies.

Her dreams were her safe place where she met him but the irony was even her dreams were hurting her because she knew her dreams were beyond reality and she could never even see him properly. Of course how can a vampire exist in Pakistan ? How will he find only her to love ? She would sadly chuckle and shrug her thoughts off muttering to herself, "Calm your heart down Raven. Vampires do not exist. This is Lahore, not Transylvania."

She felt worthless in her circle. People made her feel worthless and worst thing was, she began to accept that she was worthless.

The irony is something so naughty that when it decides to tease someone it will make happen every impossible thing too just to tease the one it enjoys to play with...

Her puffy red eyes and broken personality was somehow monitored by someone so mysterious. A shadow that followed her with quiet a distance.

His grey eyes held an unreadable emotion as he muttered, "The shackles of time will no more hinder my way sunshine. You are already 19 and this time I will make sure that I keep you like a glass doll, I will never let anyone hurt you."
