Shackles Of Reality

About 50,000 years ago something approached the solar system,some said it was a meteorite while some said it was a star.

Till this day it is still argued about what it really was. What was the thing that exploded in the solar system.

What it was no one really knew but it's explosion did bring a transcendental change in the universe,whether it was the humans on earth or the other uninhabitable planets.

It released a vast amount of energy encompassing the entire milky way.

This event was later termed as the emergence.

On earth humans began to change,evolve gaining diverse powers and abilities which were later known to be called bloodlines.

The other planets affected by the energy also evolved becoming habitable to humans.

Humanity began to grow and evolve, but with these abilities the society changed as not everyone got these powers, and even with those who got abilities there was a clear difference between the ones who got abilities that made them akin to gods like commanding elements or enhanced physical strength.

And some who got abilities that didn't exactly make them different from normal humans like an ability which makes bubbles or one that makes one smell pleasant.

In time it was proved that there were levels to bloodline holders as they figured out a massive increase in their might after passing a certain threshold.

Ranks were assigned to those thresholds.

And each one divided into early ,mid and peak.

The first is bronze followed by iron,silver,gold, platinum, and diamond ranks,each rank promising more power and control over one's abilities as well as increased lifespan.

The higher your rank the more your lifespan. For reference a normie has about one hundred years of lifespan, a bronze ranked also has about a hundred years much like a normie.

As for iron it goes as high as one hundred and fifty years, while silver ranked can live up to two hundred years, for gold rank at least three hundred years and platinum rank, at least four hundred years, as for diamond rank, a whooping five hundred years. From gold to diamond rank, there is a hundred years lifespan for each rank.

As time went on it was proven that some bloodlines are hereditary or somehow similar most especially in the big families and clans.

Humanity advanced in technology beyond what they ever thought possible before the emergence,very soon they spread to other planets in the solar system.

Time did it's job after a few thousand years hierarchies we're made,what came to be known as the seven great families were established.

The seven great families each a ruler of a planet except for earth where the government and military govern and Jupiter where the Nebula Academy was built as a place for guiding bloodline holders from ages of sixteen to nineteen a three year course.

The great families were like royals to other bloodline holders and even more so for the normies.

About three thousand years ago humanity was basking in glory when "they" attacked,the Asuras.

They were a demon like race with their only purpose being carnage and destruction.

Their invasion gave the humans a wake up call signifying to them they were not the only race in the universe.

The humans managed to fend them off barely and one thing was glaringly obvious humans were weaker than the Asuras especially when they realized the invaders they defeated were merely scouts.

Humans and their tenacious desire to survive bagan to groom bloodline holders for humanity's survival.The academies were made compulsory for all bloodline holders from age sixteen.

The Nebula Academy being number one and the best our story starts there.
