1 Chapter 1

It was a dark and gloomy night in Tokyo. Hazu was running an errand for his mother. To grab medicine at the convenience store. On his way there he witnessed a robbery; the store's glass was shattered all over the wet pavement. As Hazu got closer to the scene he saw the store clerks on their knees, begging the robbers to not hurt them. Hazu heard the Robber yelling at them, "Shut Up!". The one who was yelling seemed to be the boss. He was wearing a Red Hannya mask and was holding a semi-automatic rifle. The other robbers were wearing an Oni mask. One of the robbers then stated, "Aye man we got to go before the cops show up." The leader nodded his head in agreement and started to grab the money, while his men looked around for any more witnesses. One of their men caught a glance of Hazu. Hazu was frozen because of how terrified he was. As soon as the robber saw Hazu, he yelled "Hey You!" while pointing his gun at him. Hazu put his hands up saying, "I won't tell anyone!!!" The robber who had his gun pointed at him started to put his gun down slowly.

While that was happening all the other robbers started to walk towards Hazu slowly. Meanwhile, from a safe distance, Hazu caught a glimpse of all the store clerks and customers escape safely. While their escape, the leader walked over to Hazu and pointed his gun at him with one hand holding the gun. He raised his head and started to say to him "If you ever tell the cops about this, you're dead, you got that." Hazu nodded his head slowly and gulped with fear in his eyes. The leader walked slowly away from Hazu. While he walked away; Hazu saw the bag loaded with money. He knew that his family was not wealthy but if he tried to stop them there would be no chance. Hazu suddenly had a flashback of his unwell mother in the bed coughing and thinking of how sad and rough it would be if she died. Knowing he needed the money more than anything; Hazu looked up with a face of steel and started to sneak slowly behind the leader like a lion stalking their prey. He then slowly started to pull out his pocketknife pops gave to him before he died. As soon as he started getting closer, he quickly yanked his arm to the back of his body, his weapon dropped. The knife got closer to the robber's neck. He said to the big boss's men to "hand over the money! Or your boss dies here." The boss valued his life more than anything, he wanted to get out of this situation as soon as possible. So, he started to yell at his men to "Drop your fucking weapons!"

All of them hesitated while dropping their weapons. One of his men hands me the bag. And starts to put his hands up slowly in the air, while moving back. As soon as Hazu got the bag of money he moves back a couple of feet with their boss still in possession. He then pushes their boss to the floor and starts to dash back to his house. All that went through his mind was that he can finally rest assure. Thinking to himself, "My mother will get better!" as tears run down his cheek while he ran away from the scene.
