4 Chapter 4

*ding-dong-ding*

The class bell rang, signaling the end of the period. As the teacher gathered her books and exited, an anticipatory murmur arose among the students. All eyes turned toward the new transfer student sitting quietly by the window.

The class representative, a cheerful girl named Chaewon, stood up with a smile. "Everyone, let's give a warm welcome to our new classmate, Azaroth"

"As we all have listened to your introduction just at the beginning of the class, I would like for us to introduce ourselves to you!" She said with excitement.

"True, you don't even know our name!"

"Yeah! let's do it!"

Class rep clapped her hands, "Now, who would like to introduce themselves first?"

One by one, the students offered their names and greetings. Many female eyes followed Azaroth with intrigue as he nodded attentively to each classmate. Though clearly unused to public speaking, his polite composure put others at ease.

Some girls chimed it cutely, telling him about their favorite food and whatnot, Azaroth looked with interest, picking out the slightly better-looking ones.

When it was Jin Ah's turn, she gave a small wave. "I'm Sung Jin Ah. Hope you like it here." She tried to give him a friendly smile but was still engrossed in her studies, yet her smile was returned warmly by Azaroth.

'Haha, I'll love tearing her down' He had a perfect plan for it as well.

"Yo! I'm Song-Yi, I like to play games and watch horror shows, I also like good-looking boys like you." Song-Yi introduced herself like a playboy, but was pinched by the studying Jin-Ah "Aow! What was that for!" she squealed in pain to which Jin Ah replied, " Stop acting like a hooligan..."

'...cute' he thought inwardly. 

After that, a lot of NPCs introduced themselves and then after the end of the introductions, Azaroth stood up from his seat,

He was 5'11 which is a lot in Korea and he was just 16 years old and handsome made it a cherry on top.

After standing up, Azaroth put on a gentle smile and said, "Although I have told you guys before, I was somewhat anxious and overwhelmed at that time, that's why I would like to introduce myself once again "

He spoke in a confident yet pleasing tone which made the whole class engulfed in pin-drop silence, every girl was looking at him and he began.

"Hello everyone, my name is Azaroth Morningstar. I just moved here from America. I like sports and martial arts..." He paused and looked at Song-Yi, " I also like playing games and spending time with cute girls" He looked at every girl present, all the girls slightly blushed at his confident provocation and the boys glanced at him with daggers but he didn't care about brokies, "Thank you for having me in your class, that's all."

His words were courteous yet unforced, his voice a soothing baritone.

The class brimmed with joy, "Great to have you Azaroth!"

Chaewon once again said, "We're glad to have you Azaroth. Please let us know if you need anything to feel at home." The class echoed their assent, and casual chatter resumed among newfound friends.

As the final school bell rang, Azaroth began packing up his bag amid the din of departing students. Before he could stand, a group had gathered around his desk.

"Azaroth, do you want to hang out after school?" asked Chaewon eagerly.

"We're going to the arcade, come with us!" said another. Compliments and invitations flew his way from classmates eager to befriend the new popular guy.

Although they looked beautiful, Azaroth was not that much interested in them, maybe he can fuck Chaewon but she was not the mainstream character from the story so she was slightly inferior to Jinnah and Songyi.

"Hmm?" Amid the crowd, Azaroth glanced over and noticed Jin Ah hurriedly stuffing her books in her bag, trying not to draw attention, and started walking towards the door.

Her friend Han Song-Yi looked at her and followed Jin Ah.

At that moment, Azaroth extricated himself from his admirers. "Thank you for the invitation everyone, but I'm kind of tired so I'd like to rest for today, how about tomorrow?." he gave them a charming smile.

"Aww!"

"Too Bad!"

Chaewon chimed in," Ok! But you will HAVE to come with us tomorrow! deal?"

Azaroth showed a helpless face then smiled again "Sure, we will go tomorrow!" He said which made all the students happy.

Azaroth took his school bag and strode towards the classroom door. Once he reached there he overheard their conversations,

"Jin Ah, oi, where are you going like a rat huh? let's go karaoke tonight! It'll be so fun!" Han Song-Yi said while holding Jin Ah's hand.

But Jin Ah shook her head apologetically. "I can't, Song-Yi. I have to visit my mom in the hospital. And I also have to meet with my oppa."

Song-Yi's face fell in disappointment. "Again? But it was only yesterday you met him and the doctors also said about him being fine, Can't you skip it just this once?"

Jin Ah shook her head, "That idiot! he was blabbering something about a screen yesterday, how is he fine? sigh, I told him to not exert himself so much...."

"Anyways, I should go," Jin Ah moved toward the school gates, shoulders slumped. "I'm sorry, we will go Karaoke next time."

As Jin Ah hurried off, Song Yi stood disappointed to which Azaroth smiled, 'Haah, looks like I found my first target, Hee' He smiled thinking of Sukuna.

Song Yi was disappointed at being ditched once again but she knows about Jin Ah's mom's condition and understands.

 But then she heard a voice behind her.

"Oh! I think you got ditched there huh?"

She turned to see Azaroth regarding her with a small smile. Song Yi frowned. "Jin Ah has her reasons. Family comes first."

"Family ha?" Azaroth muttered thinking about the problems in both of his lives.

"What? And what are you doing here listening to other people's business?" She tried to act cool but only looked cute while doing that.

"I understand," Azaroth nodded, "We all have some family problems..."

He glanced in Jin Ah's direction thoughtfully.

Song Yi retorted, "Yea, yea, I also watched your podcast where they said that your parents divo-." she mid-sentence recognized what she was gonna say and paused.

Listening to her, Azaroth instinctively clenched his fists 'Oh! I guess I still have lingering emotions about this body's past!' he thought.

Seeing Azaroth lost in thought Song-Yi realised her mistake and tried to cheer him up, she acts tough and rude but she is soft and is just a teenager with a pure heart.

"Oh! aah! well, after they asked that question, I liked how you beat the host with your chair in full rage! I-I mean that guy deserved it right? .... no?" She said while throwing her hands in the air in exaggeration.

Seeing his body tremble she started panicking, "O-Oi, That was bad, ah, not that you beating him, I-I'm talking about your parent's situation, No No I have done it, you are thinking of beating me like that host right?"

Azaroth's lips quivered, seeing that she panicked even more, "W-well, you will not right? I-I am a girl after all... please don't send assassins to kill me!"

"Pfft! Hahaha" Azaroth couldn't stop himself anymore and started laughing while whipping his tears, "Ehe ha ha~ Ya ya, you don't have to console me like that, haha, See here I have recorded you fumbling and talking like a dinosaur... this is gold," He said while showing her his phone screen.

"You! Give me that!"

"Ok OK, but stop acting like a punk and promise to act like yourself in front of me!" He said and locked his phone.

"Eh? What do you mean?"

Azaroth refocused on Song Yi. "Anyways I'm headed to my uncle's place tomorrow, the Hunters Guild. Want to come along?"

Song Yi blinked in surprise. "T-The Hunters Guild... ehm! Why are you telling me? We just met."

A glint entered Azaroth's eye. "Well, you're the only hunter in my class. so why would I ask someone else?"

Song Yi's eyes widened. "How do you know I'm a hunter? I've only told Jin Ah."

Azaroth shrugged casually. "You, you know my background right? my grandpa will not simply send me to any school without cross-checking, will he? I know you are an E-rank hunter, so what do you say? "

"Ah, I-I.." Song-Yi was not sure what to say.

"Well, if someone doesn't wanna get the autograph of my uncle, and did I forget that there will also be Vice guild master Cha Hae-In... well bye-bye ~" Azaroth said and casually started walking away.

"H-hey! stop! wait, I-I will go, stop!"

After exchanging numbers with her, Azaroth sat in his car and dialed a number,
