1 Prologue

Bakari's POV

Bakari was the name that I chose for myself when my " Mother" made it clear that she will not acknowledge me, and so she did not provide me a name at the moment of my birth nor when I was old enough to understand.

For many years, the Yokai world remained hidden and undiscovered by the mundane as well as the Wizarding society, and like many things, it didn't last for long. A few individuals had done the unthinkable and exposed our world to the magical world by stealing the lives of women and children and brought a war of untold brutality and cruelty to our doorstep. The war persisted for almost two centuries before the two sides had issued a peace agreement,and with this agreement, peace had existed among the two worlds for years to come. I was orphaned by the conflict and became the last of the great InuYokai race. I am a beta with the ability and power of a powerful alpha, and because of this many had underestimated me in an attempt to procure the lands of West and they had repaid for such with their lives. Presently, I have multiple admirers that are striving for my hand in marriage including my wealth, yet sadly I could not take on a partner for I knew that my mate was out there. What I did not know was that my mate was a powerful and rare Dominant incubus vampire as well as a spy for the light versus a madman.
