17 Chapter 17

It is now the night of their performance, Athena is looking great on her dress, she really does look great on white clothes but this night, she's wearing a long cyan-colored dress, her updo made the whole look so perfect, 

So perfect that it makes every head turn to her way. She was sitting in the waiting room patiently, then suddenly, her brother Sam came, 

"You look beautiful, I'm sure Harith would be completely stunned to see you," Sam said, she smiled and bit her lip, she's can't wait to see Harith's reaction, and also his words. 

On the other hand, Harith is so troubled choosing his clothes, he is so worried, what would Athena think if she only sees him in a casual dress and not in a formal tux. He is about to lose hope but then the doorbell rang. He's the only person left in the house and so he had to open it.

He opened the door and to his surprise, it's Adam holding a tux, surely it's for Harith, but the face he's wearing is making the idea different. He looks, annoyed. Well, one thing that Adam cannot hide is his blushing ears, Harith noticed this and so he smiled and asked,

"Is this for me?"

"Yeah, you... you should wear it," Adam answered in an embarrassed tone. Harith chuckled and he let Adam in. Harith went upstairs with a huge smile on his face. 

After putting it on, he looked at himself in the mirror, thinking of what to say to Athena. He started mumbling and tried to focus really hard, he told himself that he would make Athena say yes on this day forth. And so his mind battle is still on until Adam frightened Harith on the door,

"I'm sure that poetic or emotional words can capture Athena, so you better try to be emotional if you want her sweet yes,"

Harith was surprised, Adam is helping him? But, didn't he hate Harith? His face is so confused, Adam saw this and so he spoke again,

"I don't hate you, I don't really like you but, Athena is my sister and so I just want what's best for her, I did think that you're not good enough for her and so I was furious. I am not a man who apologizes but, I'm sorry,"

Harith was so happy to hear those words from Adam, he hugged him and they both went downstairs to go to school.

While on their way, Harith is thinking of what to say, and he thought of the perfect idea, now what's left is Athena's big yes.

They arrived at school and sat on their seats. Steve is already there, excited to see how Angelica looks like. He can't wait to get stunned, and some for Harith, he's sure that Athena would look absolutely gorgeous.

The first performance is Angelica singing, Angelica is so nervous but Steven cheering on her made her calm. And so she was able to perform comfortably. But what attracts Steve the most is how graceful she is on the stage. Her dress suits her well, but the usual Angelica is still making him stunned day by day. He can't believe that the girl on stage is the same Angelica he fell in love with. Her performance ended well, everyone stood up and clapped, the next performance is Athena and Sam. The curtains fell first as the stage crew fixed and moved the piano on the stage. Harith's heart is so racing but Adam is neutral, as he already watched them both play so many times. But Harith, on the other hand, is so excited and nervous to watch her and at the same time say the words to make her his girl. It took a few more seconds and the curtains finally opened. 

Harith's eyes widened as he saw Athena holding her violin, her dress, her updo, her face, her whole view, made Harith's world explode, he felt like, she's too beautiful for him. this made him anxious but then they met eyes with each other. Athena's face brightened up as she's nervous. She and her brother Sam went onstage and went to their places, Athena stood on one spot and looked at the crowd once again and took a deep breath, she glanced at Sam and nodded. She played the violin and Sam played the piano. It made everyone drop their jaw, especially the teacher who invited Sam, he can't believe that two professional musicians are playing on their school's stage. It just made everyone focus on them. At the same time, in Athena's emotions, she felt like playing in the garden, where the butterflies were flying around her and her surroundings are full of her favorite Gardenias and Cherry Blossoms. And in Sam's emotion is no one but his mother's view, watching him play, it made his extremely emotional which made the performance very good and heart-catching. 

They both finished the performance well and they both smile at each other like they always do. They both went to the waiting room, and Harith quickly went to Athena and say the words. Athena and Sam were just sitting down when someone knocked on the door, Sam assumed that it was Harith and so he opened the door to let him in and left the two alone. Athena was happy to see him there, while Harith just complimented her, told her how good she was, how beautiful she is. They both laughed and finally the chance to tell her his feelings. Harith called out her name and started speaking,

 "Athena, there are seven billion people on Earth and here I am falling for you, and only you. It could've been someone else, but you coming here and being close to me, it made me think that there were so many chances that we couldn't meet, but we did, and so from now on, I won't miss a thing about you, I don't want to, I want you to be mine and me to be yours only. I promise you that I will be a worthy man for you, I will take care of you, respect you and love you, so please, will you be my girlfriend?"

Athena almost lost herself, she was tearing in happiness, but she managed to give him a yes, Harith was so happy that he hugged her, and once again, he kissed her, as her official boyfriend.

This could be the end but no, it is not the end...
