15 Chapter 15

It has been days since the teacher offered Sam the invitation as a guest, the whole group has been practicing including the two siblings. The two did not miss any rehearsal, they've practiced hard for the big day, five days from now and it would be Christmas break. The snow has been falling off the ground so Harith preferred to practice indoors such as the gym. 

The snow has been falling off the ground and the memory of kissing with Harith is still fresh in her mind yet the sensation from her lips is long gone, and things are the same for Harith, no matter how much he'd like to do it again, he can't, they are still in the middle of courtship. Harith has been skating for hours and so he decided to take a little rest. His head is laid down but his eyes are open, he is in the middle of resting and he saw a familiar shoe standing in front of him, it is not a female's but a male's. He looked up and he saw Sam. His eyes widen as he was not expecting him, then he thought that if he's here then maybe Athena would be there and so he looked around to see but Sam spoke,

"She's not with me, she's picking up our brother Adam at the airport, and I'm here to pick you up," 

Harith is even more surprised to hear it and it made his heart pound. Sam noticed that Harith is nervous, he sat down beside him and patted his shoulder,

"Don't worry, I'll back you up," he said

"Wait, you're actually on my side?" Harith asked,

Sam chuckled as he asks him what kind of question it was, Sam stood up and held out his hand to stand Harith up. Harith is feeling the vibe of brotherhood, the same bond he's got with Steve. He is glad that Sam is backing him up, but the feeling of being refused by Adam is still residing in him. Sam took him into his car and drove back home to dress him up for Adamson's arrival.

Meanwhile, the reunion of Adam and Athena is quite heartwarming. The first thing they did is hug for a long moment and Adam whispered in her ear saying that he's got a lot of gifts for her. Athena is so excited to know it all and so she asked Carson and some crew to put everything in the trunk and head home. Athena sat in the backseat with her brother Adam, Adam leaned on her shoulders to rest a little while they're on their way. Athena is so happy to have her eldest brother around,  even though that he's already twenty-nine years old, he's still looking like he's still in his early twenties. He's wearing a white polo shirt, sleeves lifted, first button os unbuttoned, and he's wearing black pants with a belt on. But the thing is, Athena is actually waiting for him to get a nice girlfriend and marry. But, that idea never crossed Adam's mind. Athena tried to not wake him up from his nap until they reach home. She was starting to feel bored then suddenly, her phone beeped. Her brother sent her a photo, it was Harith who's dressed up for Adam's arrival, she smiled and stared at the picture almost endless,

From Sam,

"You can thank me later,"

Athena is feeling excited to introduce Harith to Adam but Harith, on the other hand, is feeling nervous, so nervous that once he sees Adam, he might drop his heart. 

At last, they reached home, Athena woke Adam with a smile. Adam opened his long-lashed eyes and looked around, he put on his coat and his scarf, stepped out the car and looked around his surroundings. Athena stepped out next and followed her brother. Carson opened the door for them and at the doorstep, Sam and Harith are waiting. Athena is feeling so excited while Adam is so surprised seeing the unfamiliar face of Harith, his eyes won't get off Harith and an awkward vibe aroused. Athena is so worried that Harith might not feel welcome at all and so she started the introduction,

"Umm, Harith this is my brother Adamson, Adam this is Harith," inside Adam's thought is still waiting for Athena to mention what and who exactly he is, is he a friend, a schoolmate, or another guy who is about to hurt Athena's feeling again. He really is curious and so he insolently asked,

"A suitor, a lover?" 

Athena's eyes widened and led to Harith and Harith also looked at her, and then there goes silence. It was then that Harith ca no longer take the silence and spoke,

"Yes, I am her suitor," he said out loud and proud. 

They were all shocked by this answer, of course, Athena didn't expect that from Harith, so did Sam. But most importantly, Adam, 

"You are bold," Adam said to Harith, He stepped towards Harith and second later,

"I like that," holding out his hand, they shook each other's hands and so they all headed to the living room to have small chats.

"So, how's your family background? What business do you own?" Adam asked Harith,

"Oh, we don't own any business yet, but my dad is a policeman and mom is a florist," Harith answered,

"Oh, is your mom is planning on establishing her own flower business?"  

"Yes," 

"Well that's perfect, I can help you guys with that matter,"

They were all surprised by Adam, but of course, the conversations went on until Carson announced that the meal is ready, they all stood and head on to the table. Sam and Athena were very surprised that Adam is only having the most conversation with Harith, it seemed that Adam is actually liking Harith, but all they've talked about is life, business, and Harith, it really seemed that Adam is wanting to know him.

They all sat down the table and they ate together. They're all having a great time, they ate, talked even laugh. After eating Athena told her brother Adam that she's feeling tired and she wants to rest in her room, she went to her room and laid down. It was at least three minutes since she closed her eyes and someone knocked on the door, it was Adam, and he asked if he could enter. Athena let him in and so, he entered the room with a lot of gift bags. He was planning on giving it to her at the meal but he totally forgot because he was enjoying himself talking to everyone, Athena sat down and Adam sat down beside her and watched her open the gifts. She was so happy to receive them but sad that she wasn't able to buy some gifts for him. But Adam told her that she doesn't have to worry anymore as he loves her so much, he took all the gifts away first and tucked her into her bed, he kissed her forehead and left the room.
