Set stage

Fin and Ray have been best friends since diapers. Fin has always been more popular seeing that he's captain of the swim team, that's what is keeping his highschool scholarship. Fin is much more laid back, not caring what anyone thinks of him but to please his always-leaving-actor parents he's in the school play. Driving Fin back from one of his biggest swim meets, Ray is fighting over the phone with his boyfriend when it starts raining and the two boy crash the car. Ray goes into a coma and Fin breaks his legs. With this accident, Fin can't swim anymore. This causes anger towards his best friend. Fin joins the school play to keep his scholarship he and Ray are forced to talk. Will the two friends make up? Will love spark between the two or will the conflict get worse?
