1 Serpent's Awakening

On the streets of Dusk City was a small, starving youth in an over-sized and tattered cloak. He was making his way to the Temple of Beast and Gods along with a large group of other street rats. They didn't look any older than ten and some looking even younger. Ahead of them was a large group of people and the cleric leading them. The youth looked around at the crowd and pulled his hood up further as if hiding was his main concern right about then. As they neared the Temple the crowd pointed them out and started whispering, and some very fancy looking people in covered boxes there to watch the ceremony.

The Awakening ceremony was a mandatory annual ceremony for all children of the Human race who were aged ten. Its purpose was to activate the dormant bloodlines of humans and their attributes. The Head Priest said "as usual the orphans will go first, nobles who wish to claim them can do so after the Awakening." He then proceeded to call an orphan up to the stage, the Head Priest then went down on one knee and asked the orphan "What is your name child?" and the poor kid stuttered "L-Lance, Sir." The Head Priest sighed "I am no Sir, Lance will you place your hand on the orb over there." All of the orphans then turned to the orb the Head Priest was referring to and gawked. This orb was flawless and transparent and the orphans racked their brains on how expensive it was, but gave up as soon as Lance placed his hand on it. The orb started to change colors and started to emit bright red and dark black lights. Lance's eyes widened and then he cried out before fainting. the Head Priest announced after having him leave the area"Lance has an Elite Bloodline of Dark and Fire Attributes" and looked at the families in the boxes. An old man of about eighty stood up and said "The Nwa'Dife Family will take Lance as a inner member." Another old man had only slightly opened his eyes when Lance Awakened then closed them as if Lance wasn't worth his time. The Head Priest then called up all of the other orphans, except the youth in the cloak. there were four more who had Awakened Elite Bloodlines, three of which were Lance's blood brothers and the other Awakened Water and Light being taken by the Dlo'Klere Family. The Head Priest then called up the youth and as with the others asked his name to which he answered softly "Sepan." The Head Priest asked "Will you please remove your cloak child?" Sepan who didn't want to anger the kind priest complied and what was revealed a lithe physique and long jet black hair covering his eyes. The Head Priest said"Can you move your hair out your eyes so i can see them?" Again Sepan complied revealing a emerald sclera and a vertical slit of a pupil and remarked" on the streets they call me the Snake because of these eyes." The Head Priest still shocked from Sepan's eyes dully pointed to the orb. Sepan touched it and felt that he was on fire and saw vision of a Serpent swallowing mountains and draining seas, it looked to him and seemed to say"child of my blood, grow strong and take your place as the king of the world." Sepan then collapsed and looked to the Head Priest and crowd and only saw shock. The Head Priest stammered " S-Sepan has an A-Absolute B-Bloodline of the Death,Dark,Light and Life Attributes."

the old man who had not opened his eyes so far stood up and said solemnly " the Vivan'Mouri Family of the Seven Great Families of the Mon'Lanme continent will take Sepan into the Main Family as a Core Member."
