8 Hell Isn’t that Bad

"You've got a visitor."

I awoke and stood up. The guard unlocked my cell and took me out to the visitors area. My lawyer greeted me and we sat at one of the tables. The guard had to keep the cuffs on me due to the fact that I was a "dangerous criminal," what bullshit.

"Hey Jungkook, uh how've you been?" She asked nervously.

"Same old, put a few inmates in the infirmary, got put in solitary at least 12 times, bit off another inmate's finger for looking at me wrong." I saw the nervous look on her face, she looked horrified. I started to laugh. "Ah, I'm just messing with you," I snickered. "So what do you have for me? Good news I hope."

"Uh, right, I have the case files from your arrest, it says here that you intentionally told the arresting officer that there were more bodies and that there would be more to come. Why would you do that?" She asked.

"Cause I know they don't have enough physical evidence to keep me in here. They'll have to let me go," I replied. "I mean I'm not an idiot."

"Right. Look I'm working on your appeal. I'll call when I get any news. Until then please don't get yourself into any trouble," she replied still a little nervous.

"Why are you so nervous? They left the cuffs on me for a reason, besides even if I did try to attack you they'd have to discipline me and trust me this face and body are too perfect to destroy," I flashed her one of my signature smiles and nodded. "But sure, why not." I winked and she quietly stood up and quickly walked out. I was escorted back to my cell.

"W-Where am I?!" Said the man in a panic.

"You're just around the corner from death's door. But before you reach your destination, I'm just going to show you the horrific work you did on your victims," replied Jimin. He took the hood off the man's head.

The man looked around in horror. "What is this? Where am I? Who are you? Why are you doing this?"

"How do you think they felt? Huh? When you grabbed them and used your body to hold them down as you defiled them and turned them into nothing but a hollow shell," said Jimin.

The man shook his head. "No, I'm not like that anymore! I swear I've changed! I'm reformed," the man exclaimed.

Jimin laughed. "No one is ever fully reformed. You're just a monster and you always will be. Your kind never changes."

"Please don't do this! Let me go, please. I won't tell anyone I promise!" He begged and cried.

"Enough talking," Jimin placed a gag in the man's mouth and smiled. He grabbed the knife from beside him and stabbed the man in the heart without any hesitation. Blood came gushing out. He couldn't help but smile. He felt so good, as if he had finally filled a void deep inside him.

I woke up to the yelling of the other inmates. I sighed and sat up.

"Your appeal finally came through. You're scheduled for a hearing tomorrow. I can assure you that you'll be out in the upcoming week," said my lawyer.

"Well this is great news." I gave her a smile.

"Yeah," she smiled back.

"You know I never noticed how beautiful you are."

She looked at me nervously. "Uh, thanks?" She quietly stood up and walked away.

I sat there and laughed. "Ah you should see your face, you looked terrified." I yelled out behind her.

I made my way back to my cell and laid down on my uncomfortable cot and smiled to myself. "Oh the fun I'll be having soon, just wait till I have the cops chasing their own tails in no time."

"So what you're trying to say, counselor, is that your client should be released and all charges should be dropped?" Replied the Judge.

"Yes, your Honor."

"Any comments from the opposing side?"

"Yes your Honor." He stood up.

I rolled my eyes and fake smiled in his direction.

"This is just insane your Honor, he is a serial killer, he doesn't deserve anything but the death penalty."

"Objection, my client has been arrested under false pretenses, he has been locked up for way longer than he deserves, he is not what the public call the Angel of Death or whatever. He needs to be able to go back home and rejoin his family and have his life back."

"Well I will look over your request and have an answer for you after this 30 minute recess." The judge hit his gavel against the wooden surface.

My lawyer and I sat in silence as she looked over her papers. The 30 minutes went by pretty fast. The judge came back out and took his seat at the podium and the other lawyer came back in from his little break.

"Court is back in session. Now, I have looked over your case and I have reached a verdict, your client is legible for early release, he will be scheduled for release by next week, Tuesday. Court is dismissed, next case."

"Wait, your Honor! This can't be right. You're releasing a dangerous killer back into the public," yelled out the other lawyer.

"I have made my decision and that's final. Quiet yourself in my courtroom or I'll have security escort you out."

The lawyer grunted and stormed out.

"Well it looks like we've done it. You'll be able to see your brother in no time. I'll let you tell him the good news."

I got up and the guards put the cuffs on my wrists. We made it back to the prison and I was escorted back to my cell where I would have to wait the whole rest of the week and one day to finally be released.

"You got a phone call," said the guard as he opened my cell door and took me to the phones.

"Kookie, your lawyer told me you needed to talk to me," said Jimin over the phone.

"I had my hearing and I'm being released on Tuesday. You better be here," I replied.

"This is great news. Everything is going according to plan," Jimin said. "Yeah, I'll be there," he sighed.

"Well I gotta go. See ya soon," I replied as I hung up and got escorted back to my cell.
