54 Yan Xuan forgot to bring the most essential thing..

Pan Xue kept on shooting numerous questions giving him a headache. After a few seconds, Yan Xuan became impatient and said,
"Mom, yes I have a girlfriend who is waiting for me to continue our date which I left midway. As for the rest, I will tell you later. Is it okay if I hang up now?" Yan Xuan said impatiently.
"Okay okay. Just tell me will you be coming back tomorrow for brunch?" Pan Xue asked hurriedly with a faint tone of happiness.
"Mmmmm. Not sure yet. I will let you know if I am coming." Yan Xuan replied calmly but once his words left from his mouth, Deng Tia's face turned gloomy.
She was wholly disappointed as she saw a distant look on his face.
"Xuan, why don't you bring her to meet us tomorrow?" Pan Xue said with a hopeful heart as she was extremely happy for her son and can't wait to see what fairly warmed her cold-hearted son's heart.
"I will check with her and let you know. Now mom we will miss the meteor shower if you keep me on call even for a few minutes." Yan Xuan said impatiently.
"Okay go ahead. I will not hold you back then. Take care…" Pan Xue disconnected the call with her heart leaping in excitement.
She was eager to meet her son's girlfriend and was sure she would be her future daughter in law as she knew men from Yan family.

Deng Tia was still confused with the change in Yan Xuan's behavior and was also wondering about Pan Xue's reaction.
'Why didn't Aunty get angry after learning about Yan Xuan's girlfriend?'
'Is she waiting for him to go back so that she can confront him directly?'
"Your cell phone." Yan Xuan said while breaking her stupor as he returned her cell phone and said, "Go back home safely."
Yan Xuan's indifferent look made her even angrier.
"Xuan, What do you mean by this? Are you ditching me in the middle of nowhere just for this woman's sake?"
Mo Hua, who was being an audience for a long time was now getting aggravated seeing Deng Tia disturbing their date.
She snapped at her, "Miss Tia, my boyfriend has nothing to do with you staying here or going back. You came here on your own accord so you better do arrangements on your own. Don't disturb us please."
"Let's go Xuan." Mo Hua grabbed Yan Xuan's hand without taking a second glance at Deng Tia again.

Deng Tia was fuming in anger. She was ready to run behind the retreating couple but was stopped by Mia's voice.
"Tia, let's go the meteor shower will start in 15min…" Mia was surprised when she saw cantankerous Deng Tia in front of her.
"What happened to you, Tia? Why is your face so downtrodden? Are you okay babe?"

"Nothing. Let's go back for now. We will talk about this later." Deng Tia suppressed the anger boiling in her heart and pulled Mia back to their tents.

"It's so dark yet beautiful." Mo Hua said as she was carefully crossing the grassy patch.
The path was a narrow way at the start with weed grass everywhere. As soon as they were near the tower, the height of the grass started to rise.
It was at first up to ankle then risen to the calves' height.
As they went deeper near the watchtower, the grass which was initially sparse was getting thicker as well as the height was not up to the waist.
The blade-like sharp leaves were now swaying along with the windy weather.
Although it was dark the moonlight was radiant enough to highlight the route they were walking on. To be on the safer side, Yan Xuan had put on the torch in his hand and was guiding the way fro Mo Hua from behind.
"Be careful MoMo. Pay attention to where you walk. Hmm?" Yan Xuan couldn't control his protectiveness and was alerting her now and then.
"Yes, Xuan. Don't worry... I am… Ouuchhh…." Mo Hua whimpered in pain.
"What is it Momo? Let me see…" Yan Xuan who was walking behind her took larger strides and reached beside her immediately.
He pointed the torch towards her arm and saw a slightly deep cut on it.
"See. I told you to be careful, Why can't you pay attention?" Yan Xuan started scolding her while pulling a bandaid from his back pocket.
He peeled the packet and covered her wound with few band-aid strips.
Mo Hua observed his every amiable move and her emotions were stirred up.
"Xuan, I am okay. Don't worry."
"What okay? Now listen to me. Let me give you a piggyback ride so that I can rest assured that you are safe." Yan Xuan half squatted in front of her and asked her to get on his back.
"What!! No Xuan... I am okay. I can walk on my own." Even before she can complete her sentence, she felt a deathly stare fixed on her face and she swiftly mounted herself on his back.
"Good girl." Yan Xuan smiled happily and started walking towards the tower.
It was only a few steps when he felt her thumping heart on his back muscles.
'Is she nervous?'
'Why would she be nervous?'
'Is she ready and already thinking of doing it??'
'No.. impossible... But what if..'

"Shitttt!" Yan Xuan who 's thoughts were running haywire just now blurted his inner thought out loudly.
"Xuannn... What's wrong? Did you get hurt somewhere?" Mo Hua said worriedly ad struggled to get down from his back.
"Quickly put me down to take a look." She said anxiously.
"I am okay MoMo. I just remembered..that I forgot to bring the…' Yan Xuan paused as soon as he realized what he was saying.
"Forgot what?" Mo Hua asked apprehensively.

He softly coughed and tried to divert the topic.
"Umm. Nothing nothing.. just a few sodas." He said with a bit unreal tone which made Mo Hua more suspicious yet she decided to trust him.
'Hmm. If he is lying, then I will know about it soon. Let's wait then..' she thought and replied," Xuan, just now I was so concerned. Is this how you react if you forget soda cans?"
"Hehe. MoMo, sorry to overreact." Yan Xuan smiled sheepishly to hide his embarrassment.
'Thank god she did get suspicious. But now what should I do if she wants to. Oh God! How can I forget?' Yan Xuan was still fighting his internal battle when he heard a loud squeal from the girl who was had placed her head on his back.
"Xuan…. The tower. Finally, we are here. Let's go climb up. Only 6mins till the meteor shower. Quick quick…"
