1 Chapter 1: The Bathroom

I'm in some sort of bathroom but it seems to have decayed overtime. The once white walls now covered in black stains, the mirrors are broken and the sinks are clogged by clumps of hair with the water left on, now overflowing. All the stall doors have fallen off their hinges and the toilets are all either rooted up out of the ground or broken, gross looking water is on the floor. I'm wearing a hospital gown and nothing else, always hated these. My feet have been all cut up from the glass on the floor and the blood is mixing with the rising water. "What...the hell happened? Where am I?"

I try to remember how I got here but I can't remember anything. The water is now up to my thighs and it's taking more energy to move. "I should get out of here, everything else comes later." I pull on the door but it won't open. It doesn't seem locked, it's more like it's not a door. It's like it's just a part of the wall. No windows. The water's still rising

"Help! Someone! Come help me!" I hit and kick the door as I scream for help and as I do the rusted and sharp bent metal of the door cuts into my hands. I doubt anyone is actually out there but I'm running out of options. . This is bad. I rush over to the sinks, the source of the water and try to turn them off but the levers won't move, on the contrary, the water seems to be rushing out faster. The water's reached my waist now. This can't be happening. This can't be real. This has to be a sick joke. Am I really going to die in this infection ridden place? It's up to my neck now.

I'm going to die without even knowing who I am. Do I have a family? Friends? Girlfriend? A wife? Will they just have to come to terms with the fact that I disappeared one day without ever knowing why? The water's above my head now. I can't breathe. I'm drowning in this filthy water. This is bullshit. Regardless, I have to accept it and so, I close my eyes and let the water fill my lungs.
