Visual Changes

I sealed the newly made Kunai in a scroll grandpa gave me, one day I should be able to make my own scrolls like these, I want to show Grandpa when I see him. I thank Tetsu before leaving his shop and head to the hospital. I have mixed feelings about the hospital lately. It isn't that I want to stop learning Medical Ninjutsu but something has changed.

It all began when I was in the hospital two weeks ago before I got discharged. I keep feeling a tingle in my eyes. I have been seeing vague shapeless creatures. It's like they are made of mist. I tried to talk to one but the thing just walked around ignoring me. Also when I focus on someone I feel a tingle in my eye and a dull throbbing but in return for this throb I can see lines or rather it is like strings, coming off of people.

I have noticed that a healthy person would have a light sky blue type string. Most people had these but, by accident when I was working, a heavily injured man was rushed in his string was so dark and kept getting darker til it was pitch black and snapped. As soon as it snapped the man died of poison. When it snapped I saw a horrifying figure emerge and pull a misty thing out the mans body before vanishing it made me nauseous. I rushed to the bathroom and I caught a look at myself in the mirror. There I caught a glimpse at my own eyes. A four pointed star was slowly spinning at the center of my eye but as soon as I blinked it vanished making me wonder if it was an illusion.

The reason I have mixed feelings is because I only see these things at the hospital so far. When I am out I see nothing not a single string or misty figure. I have tested out some of these strings while working. It seems everyone has many strings. One Main string that is connected to the top of the head and points to the sky and other strings that connect to all the vital organs and meridians. I can interact with these strings but I have to try and keep my eyes hidden away. I don't want anyone to notice the change yet.

Yesterday a old man came in. He was having pains in the middle of his chest as well. I examined him, though I only got this chance because no one took the pain as a major issue, I noticed it wasn't as simple as they thought. His kidneys were shutting down. I though about using chakra to revitalize his cells but decided against this since I wasn't too experienced in this and it may make things worse since I can revitalize the cells but the issue is the man is so old. It could help him for a little while but the cells would die again quickly.

It was then that I noticed the string connected to the mans kidneys. It was a dark grey showing that his kidneys were very close to shutting down completely. I can't ask for a transplant as organ donors don't exist here. So I had a thought. I grabbed the strings and began injecting my chakra directly into it. The result was it began to go from dark grey to grey to white. His organs began to repair themselves at a rapid pace. At the same time I felt my chakra take a sharp spike down and ended up kneeling down in a cold sweat.

I shake my head and enter into the hospital "Ah good evening Marix. Is it time for your shift already?" I can only nod at the kind receptionist. "Uh huh." Three days a week I work with patients the two days I am in the lab learning about medical plants and the last two days I get taught how chakra can be used to heal various conditions. Today I was working with patients again.

I enter into one of the wards and began to examine my patients. One boy broke his leg falling out of a tree. It's a bit harder to set a fracture or broken bone. Luckily this type of thing doesn't require me to use any hand seals I just need control over chakra. First I used covered my hands in chakra and placed them on the boys leg lightly. I infused my chakra into him and used it as a scan inside. I can't test out the stings on him since there isn't a string attached to his bone. Using my chakra i pull the two bones apart just slightly, this caused the boy to wince but it had to be done so that the bones don't scrap against each other. Then I moved the broken one back in place before connecting them again. After that it is just getting him in a cast.

I move to the next patient. This one is an older ninja maybe under middle age. I know him since he comes here regularly. He got sneak attacked by an enemy and while lucky to survive one of his chakra points got damaged so when he tries to use chakra it causes him immense pain, yet he still never stopped trying. I guess he is hear for his pain relievers again. I was about to give him the prescription when I noticed a dark string connected to him. my eyes change giving me a view of where it is connected to. I see a cracked circle inside him where the string is connected. Oh it is one of the chakra points.

"Um Mr. Mazu (made up). Before I give you the prescription can I try something? I have a medical skill that maybe able to help you" The man looks at me and gives a sad smile "Whatever you say kid. But don't beat yourself up if it doesn't work"I nod having him turn around I place my hand on his back near his shoulder and began to infuse chakra, this is just a cover though. My other hand grabs the string and began to inject chakra into it. As I watch the chakra points fractures began to mend until it was entirely fixed again leaving the string white.

"O-ok try to use chakra now" I say panting a bit. It seems healing through the strings takes a lot of chakra. Though this string wasn't as dark as that mans kidney one so it seemed to take less out of me. 'Note to self the darker the string the more chakra it takes' I think to myself. The man tries circulating his chakra only to jump up in shock "I-i can use chakra again?!" he says loudly disturbing the other patients and nurses. They all knew this man. SOme nurses came to check on him then rushed to get some doctors. They examined Mr. Mazu "I'ts true his chakra point is fixed." They ask him how it happened and he tells them I did it. Suddenly all eyes are on me.

"Marix how did you do this?" The doctor asked 'Quick Marix think of a lie!' "I um... Well I been studying here for over a year and I had my own theories since my chakra seems a little different to others and I have more chakra than most my age. Well yesterday a old man came in and I noticed he had bad kidneys. I decided to test my new technique on him and it worked! So today I thought could I use this on a chakra point? And I um... kinda used Mr. Mazu for it." I said sheepishly "That is very dangerous! You shouldn't just go using your own techniques on people! What if they died?" I look down and began to fidget "I-i'm sorry. I only wanted to help" 'Add fake tears. Sell pitiful child routine go!'

The doctor shakes his head "Well... No one got hurt but next time run it by us professionals first so complications don't happen." The doctor said looking away rubbing his beard but you can tell he is exasperated by my pitiful child routine as he can't berate me now as he doesn't want to see me cry. "Y-yes I definitely won't do it again!" The nurses and doctors give me small smiles and Mr. Mazu thanks me before leaving. Some doctors want to learn my technique but I tell them it is impossible since it is related to my unique chakra which makes them slump. On the plus side I am told I can come in to see more severe patients starting next week.

What I didn't know at the time was that my new technique that can fix chakra points, and even heal failing organs, was already told to grandpa. Who only smiled at the report. He looked out the window where snow was beginning to fall on the village. "Let's give him a reward for helping the village"

So here we see the first level of his Seishigan. He can see the Strings of Life connected to people. There will be two more levels to this. The 6 pointed star and the 9 pointed star. I haven't worked out any special colors or other special characteristics yet. Before you ask. No he can't cut the String of Life. So no OP instant death power.
