25 Village Hidden Among Stars

I have never been more embarrassed in my entire life. Due to it being an urgent request we had to get there as soon as we could. But I didn't exactly have the 'force' to go that far in a hurry so Guy thought up a solution... He piggy backed me the whole way which would be within tolerance if he wouldn't have been shouting about the power of youth this the power of youth that the whole time!

Once put down I stumble with a headache. Uncle Asuma puts a hand on my shoulder "You ok there nephew?" He chuckles. I can see it in his eyes he knew this would happen "Why couldn't you have carried me?!" I grunt he scratches his cheek "Uh... Because he would give that speech to me instead" 'D*mn you Uncle! You sold me out!' "Ug hfine. Why are we stopping here" I say heading towards the gorge only to be dragged back "Whoa there. This is called the Devils Ravine. It is filled with poison. Just wait here" An arrow shots from the other side and hits a tree. There is a rope attached "Ah see" Asuma picks me up and carries me over.

A bald headed Ninja is standing nearby "You are from the Leaf Village correct? My name is Yotaka. I'll lead you to the Hoshikage." Asuma steps up "Of course. Please lead the way" I can't help feel there is something wrong with this bald headed ninja in front of me. I can't put my finger on it. Oh well.

We are lead to a building where the Hoshikage is along with plenty of people on beds groaning in pain. "Ah you arrived which one of you is the Blood-" Asuma steps in "It is a pleasure to meet you Lord Hoshikage" 'Phew quick save' "This here is my nephew he is the expert you wanted." Secretly he signals the Hoshikage not to mention that name. "Oh so young yet so talented!" The old man with a mustache says. I get the same feeling from him as I get from Grandpa "It's a pleasure to meet you Lord Hoshikage" I bow as is courtesy

"Oh no need for that my boy. We invited you after all. If you could please help us" The old man is very kind. I nod and activate my Seishigan what I see is all their life lines are being corroded by some purple chakra. The major organs are failing and the chakra paths are also being eaten away. The children seem to have it worse s their bodies aren't developed enough for this. I see some very thin threads that connect to this strange tracking leading all to the same point. "Lord Hoshikage it appears their is a strange chakra eating away at their life force. All of it seems to be connected to something to the west of here"

The Hoshikage trembles a little 'But that place is...' "Are you saying that something is connecting all of them" I nod "From what I see chakra is flowing into them from some point to the West and that chakra is eating them from the inside" A man steps forward "Excuse me Hoshikage sama." The Hoshikage looks back at the man "Yes Akahoshi?" The man looks to us "I believe that this is a secret to the outsiders I think we can solve this ourselves." He seems apprehensive towards us

The Hoshikage shakes his head "No we need all the help we can get." The mans eyes flash violet but only for a second "Then allow me to go retrieve it Lord Hoshikage. Maybe if this boy inspects it more closely he can solve this" The hoshikage nods and the other man leaves. "The chakra you see is called Star Chakra. It comes from the star that fell here arorund 200 years ago." The Hoshikage explains to us "The star had a special aura that could enhance chakra so the first utilized it and created the Mysterious Peacock Method in which we can use this new chakra but... It was in my time I stopped us from training with the star as it could damage our organs and as you say eat away at us. We lost so many people training it."

I listen carefully. 'First a valley of poison that surrounds the village and now a star which enhances chakra at the cost of life force? This mission is interesting' the Hoshikage makes some hand seals then pulls out a bird. He ties a note to it and coats it with his chakra before letting it go "Now it seems even if we don't train around it it is still going to cause us trouble. I will invite 'them' back so we can be done with all this even if it means I can't be Hoshikage any longer." 'Wait what does he mean by that?' I wonder to myself. "Well if you would please look over them and see if you can find a solution."

Even as I check them over the Hoshikage continues to talk "I had to put the village first. One of the childrens parents Natsuhi and Hotarubi were the only survivors of the last training. Not wanting to see the suffering anymore they stole the star but were caught by us. I then stopped the training but I made them leave the village to silently guard us on the chance the training was brought back so that they could save us... Little did I know this would happen" There is regret in his voice "But why are the children effected when they haven't done the star training?"

"They may not have done it by their ancestors did. A tiny amount of that is passed down by my guess. This star is now connecting to that small amount and pushing more inside. I do have some theories that can help but I need to see the star first but then this star needs to be taken care of. I believe Lord Hoshikage knows what needs to be done, destroy the star"

"Destroy it?! No we can't do that it is the hope of the village!" That man finally came back He is holding a round thing emitting the same chakra as inside these people. My blood seems to pulse once I lay my eyes on it. I can feel that it has a lot of metal element inside that is causing my bloodline to react "No he is right Akahoshi. We need to destroy the star one and for all" The hoshikage responds. "No! I won't allow it! The star can grant us power above all the 5 hidden villages" The mans eyes glow malevolently purple. I can see the chakra in him it is corroding his mind.

"Don't do anything foolish" Uncle Asuma says but it is too late. The man began forcing the stone into his chest. The chakra begins to change him it is taking over his chakra networks. The mans hair changes and his eyes look malevolent. Before any of us can react A large surge of chakra forms around him taking shape of a dragon and striking the Hoshikage. Holding him in it's Jaws it began forcefully taking all the chakra out of him and growing stronger "WE HAVE TO STOP HIM!" I shout guy and asuma both attack as the medical ninjas with us try to move away all the patients as fast as they can. Sadly though a surge pushes Asuma and Guy back then the dragon attacks some of the patients sucking away all their chakra. Bastard wouldn't even let children go.

"You see! The star gives me power and once I take the chakra from all of you no one not even the five great villages will be able to stop me!" He began to cackle wildly. His chakra grows stronger as he absorbs it from others "D*mnit!" I growl then I realize that the star is made of metal so I push all my power into trying to control it. Of course I can't do it but I can make him weaker at least as I struggle wtih him for control of the star. The man looks at me growling and sends his dragon at me. But he is struck by some purple chakra that looks like some kind of ferret knocking him back.

A beautiful woman arrives "What is going on" I quickly explain "That man has been driven insane. He killed the Hoshikage and five others including two children. He is using the star to take their chakra and enhance his own!" I explain as quickly as I can. I have a feeling this may be that Natsuhi the Hoshikage spoke of. I continue to speak to her and Asuma and Guy "I need you all to distract him long enough so i can get in close and touch the star. It is mostly metal if I touch it I can rip it out of him!" Uncle Asuma seems to know what I am talking about "But isn't it dangerous? I can't allow it we should destroy it instead" I can't help but lie. I feel this star will be of great benefit to me "I need it to heal these people. If I don't most of them will die from corrosion"

it seems my little lie worked. Well it wasn't a total lie as I did need the star to act as a catalyst so I can help purify their chakra. Uncle Asuma attacks as well as that woman. Guy picks me up and uses all his force to throw me at the man. My palm smashes against the star and instead of shattering it absorbs into my palm along with all that weird chakra.
