34 Foxy Laughter

As we head out we bypass a puddle. I find this odd since it hasn't rained in quite some time. My instincts scream at me to take caution so I step a little closer to Tazuna. Caution seemed to be the right choice since two ninja appeared and decimated Kakashi into small pieces. They immediately target naruto afterwords. Luckily Sasuke diverted the attack but that only delayed them. One went to attack naruto again while the other targeted my small group consisting of me, Sakura, and Tazuna.

'D*mnit they are fast.' I can't help but think to myself even though I am overcome with murderous rage at them trying to kill naruto. I know it should be fine, after all Kakashi is an elite. "Stand back Mr. Tazuna" I stand before the male attacking using my body to block the blow since my metal will protect me anyway.

Though it seems uncalled for due to the fact that Kakashi came back and grabbed the two before they could strike me or naruto. 'I knew he wouldn't go down that easily' I think to myself. It seems their target was Tazuna or so Kakashi deduced "I'll get as much information as I can from them Kakashi sensei" I say with a smile that makes everyone in the group shudder. Kakashi seems to want to tell me no but stops himself as I happily whistle while dragging the two into the woods.

After a couple minutes I come back having a refreshed look on my face everyoine else looks at me with mixed expressions as they had heard the screams coming from my direction "What is everyone looking at? Am I just that handsome?" I try to lighten the mood. "Cough what did you learn about them?" kakashi says diverting the topic.

"Some guy named Gato hired them to kill off Tazuna because his bridge will affect his underworld business. I also learned a list of their previous contracts. I already sent weird back to Grandpa telling him were I left those two so he can come and fetch them" Currently the two are both pale, bloody and hanging upside down from a tree branch.

"Well anyway." Kakashi turns to Tazuna "This is no longer a C class mission. We were tasked with protecting you from bandits. The addition of ninjas upgrades this to at least a B class. We have to get Naruto to a hospital before the poison in that blade kills him" My smile cracks a little 'Oh I should have played with them more' I think. The twos spines shudder

Naruto on the other hand surprises us by cutting his on hand to let out the poisoned blood. "With this blood I vow that I will protect that old man. Reporting fit for duty sensei" I look at him with a rasied brow "Naruto that is great and all but if that isn't healed soon you will die of blood loss" I day as I walk up to him to get to healing only to find the wound sealing itself. 'The hell?'

Despite Narutos 'brave' act Kakashi still thinks we should report back that is until Tazuna basically blackmails him into continuing by making us feel guilt. Talking about how his grandson and daughter will hate us and etc. So we end up continuing the journey and since we have to take it slower for the 'civilian' we end up staying at a roadside inn for the night

In my own Maze I stand before a bridge. I am debating on what to do as this bridge leads to Narutos World. "Hey Fox. It wasn't very nice of you to try and take over my body like that you know" I shout down the bridge. No response. "Well no one got hurt so I guess I can forgive you" Still no response. It is lucky no one else could see this or they would think I was crazy, shouting at a bridge.

Since he wasn't talking I would. "You know I have a brother, I never met him in person because I was sent away before I could even form a memory. I know my brother is stil lalive since I have a connection to him but I don't know if my parents are alive or if I was just abandoned..." I began telling him about my life

"You know when i was younger there was a time hatred enveloped me just like what you did last night. My arm became like a monsters and I even struck at Naruto. I was scared of myself. Scared of all the darkness I had inside me that I had buried. But Naruto didn't blame me he even ran out barefoot to find me help. The Third Hokage came and he didn't show disgust at me instead he embraced me telling em everything was going to be alright even though at the time I looked like a monster."

I sigh "He even went as far as to adopt me into his clan taking me as his grandson. Since then I have made a few friends, I even got a fiancee recently. But without Naruto or Grandpa I probably would have ended up in a bad place." I continue on talking for awhile "You know I visit my maze almost every night I talk to an old man called Shukaku on my brothers side. I can't cross over his bridge anymore though as there seems to be something restricting me."

Finally the fox responds "Did you say shukaku?" I blink. I really wasn't expecting him to be listening "Yea. He has been telling me about history every other night. He is a very wise and nice man. Though I never seen what he looks like but he sounds like an old man" From the bridge I hear laughter "Wise? Nice? Old man?! HAHAHAHAH" I don't know what I said that was so funny

"Oh that's a good one kid. What did you say your name was again?" I tilt my head "Um Marix. Marix Sarutobi." The fox chuckles "Ok then tell me more about the wise, kind, old man hahahaha" I still don't understand what is so funny.

"Well Shukaku has told me some of history over the years. Most of it involves Sunagakure but still. Our latest talk was about the Iron sands" I tell the fox some of the history I learned "One time I heard him mention something about him having a rival" The fox "A rival huh?" I nod, though the fox can't see it "Yes he said one day he will show someone named Kuruma that he isn't the weakest" The fox began to chuckle to himself again. After all he was the one who said Shukaku was the weakest since he only had one tail.

"I once heard loneliness in shukakus voice... It was when he was talking about his first friend named Bunpuku. He told me this friend of his never treated him like a monster and even respected him. Despite everyone in Bunpukus village shunning him and Shukaku Bunpuku never once hated the village nor did he hate shunkaku." The fox is a bit silent here "Hmph so he can befriend people like you. Speaking with loneliness? Pathetic"

I look down the bridge "It isn't pathetic. I may not know much but I know loneliness and hatred very well. Fox you bury your loneliness under hatred." I deep threatening growl comes from the other side "Shut up kid! I am not lonely I just despise all you d*mn humans!" Shaking my head "I know you are lonely, I can feel it since I have felt it just as bad. I don't see you as a monster Fox. I only see someone who has been hurt a lot. That is why I am talking with you. To ease some of that loneliness." The fox doesn't respond to me for the rest of the night "Maybe one day we could be friends fox. I don't believe you are that bad" Then I wake up.

On Narutos side the fox laid curled up just listening to the boy talk while thinking over everything he said 'Am I really lonely?' The fox growls 'I don't need any d*mn humans pity!'

We have reached the Land of Waves. Going through a tunnel on a boat it is very interesting seeing all those trees sprouting out of the water. I think they are called Mangroves. The boatmen sped off pretty quick though. It is quite worrying.

Naruto is on full alert at least he is acting that way i guess... He through shuriken at a bush and almsot hit a white rabbit. I gotta say it was funny watching him hold the bunny while apologizing to it though.

"Everyone get down!" Kakashi yells and we all get to the ground, I make sure to pull Tazuna down with me. Wind blows over our heads and when we look up I can see a man standing on a very large sword. The man has his mouth covered in wraps, sleeves like mine only they are camo printed like his boots, stripped pants and a scarf.

"Well well if it isn't the mist missing nin Momochi Zabuza" Kakashi says to the new person "All of you stay back this guy is too much for you" kakashi reaches for his headband "It may be a little difficult so I'm going to have to do this"

"Kakashi of the Sharingan I take it?" I noticed Sasuke seems to react to the word Sharingan 'Oh yea that is the dojutsu of his clan' I remember grandpa mentioning it when he was telling me my eye wasn't weird. Sensei lifted his headband for the first time to reveal a red eye with three circling tomoe.

"Protect Mr. Tazuna and stay out of this fight." Kakashi sensei tells us. "Oh to see the legendary Copy Eye Eheel makes me feel like my day just got better" Naruto buts in "Wait what is a copy eye wheel and what is up with your eye sensei?!"

"Sharingan means copy eye wheel" Sasuke began to tell him "It is a unique ocular jutsu that allows one to see through illusions and reflect the genjutsu cast at them back towards the opponent. And there is more"

"Kuku exactly. The sharingan also allows one to copy and use an opponents jutsu. You know my bingo book had a lot of information on the sharingan and even on you." He says looking at kakashi "A man said to have copied over a thousand jutsu, kakashi the Copy Ninja. Anyway I am on a time limit so" Zabuza jumps over to the water. Making a hand sign "Hidden Mist Jutsu" suddenly the whole area was surrounded in mist. 'This isn't good' I get ready to cast my jutsu at anytime.
