Arc 1.6

Nicolás stares at all the gifts given to him by the emperor. He looks at it with a complicated look unsure of what to do with it. He sighs and lays in his bed. Luciana is finally dealt with but now what should he do? Does he have to stay to make sure Luciana doesn't somehow crawl up again? Knowing her she would do something else since she isn't the brightest.

"What was his dream?" Nicolás asks the system curiously.

[It's actually very simple it's to end the war. As the war between Linux and Noyer has been going on for generations. The Montes and the Thornton the respective generals of each have been fighting just as long. The two have been competing since the beginning. Their rivalry is a friendly one if not in battle. Even in battle they never kill each other to show respect to one another. However, they do injure each other severely. The Montes family and Thornton want to end the war but the royal families do not]

"End the war? Let me send a letter to June Thornton" Nicolás responds. He takes out a piece of paper and starts to write. Stating he wants to meet June, not on the battlefield. They will meet in the holy ground between the two countries in two days. He also writes another letter to Lance requesting to meet as soon as possible.

"Willaim send these letters," Nicolás asks. William quickly takes them and saw the names his eyes widen. He couldn't believe the general is planning to end the war once in for all? He heads out in shock and promptly goes to his destination. Nicolás looks outside with a giant smirk forming.

~An hour later~

Prince Lance arrives at Nicolás residence as he was about to talk to the guards. The door swung open revealing Nicolás in his casual wear.

"Prince Lance your here I need to talk to you urgently" Nicolás states as he makes a sign to follow him. Nicolás leads the prince to his dining table where tea and sweets set up. The two take their respective seats and wait for the servants to serve tea.

"Why did you request to see me, future general Nicolás?" Prince Lance questions curiously while looking at Nicolás straight in the eyes.

"Prince Lance I will support you for you be the next Emperor but I want you to help end the war" Nicolás drops the bombshell. Not even sugarcoating it he straight up said it. Prince Lance eyes narrow the Noyer have killed many of their people why would they want to stop it?

"We have killed just as many" Nicolás answers like he could read Prince Lance mind. Prince Lance frowns he couldn't believe Nicolás of all people would ask this as his family was killed by Noyer assassins.

"I forgave them already my mom told me before in war it breeds hatred if we allow the hatred to breed there will never be a path towards peace. Following my mom teachings, I will not allow hatred to breed inside me. I will forgive those who harm but they will be brought to justice. By the justice system in Linux!" Nicolás softly answers Prince Lance looks.

"Your mother was a wise woman. I agree then as long as we don't have to give Noyer benefits or payment" Prince Lance agrees reluctantly. He put in the conditions so they don't end paying anything to Noyer.

"I understand I would never put us in a disadvantaged situation. I will always put Linux ahead anything" Nicolás answers with a determined look. He gives Prince Lance a light smile he stood up and bowed. Lance couldn't believe it, Nicolás smiled at him! Not at anything else but him! Prince Lance couldn't believe that Nicolás smile could cause him to feel flustered. Nicolás is really a rare beauty that can affect both men and women.

"I thank you for helping me with this! I will not let your choice go in vain, I promise that I will repay this favor" Nicolás declares. Prince Lance nods he felt like he chose the right choice. Nicolás has always been trustworthy and kept his promises.

"I would like to talk about another matter it's about Luciana," Prince Lance says. Nicolás eyes narrow was she able to somehow bewitch the Prince again.

"What about her?" Nicolás coldly states with a frown.

"She has been doing some suspicious things I feel like she will betray Linux and give out our secrets" Prince Lance reveals. Nicolás frowns he will get people to keep watch on her.

"Don't worry if she is, she will never see the daylight ever again" Nicolás announces. Prince Lance couldn't help but feel a bit of awe at Nicolás devotion. He found it compelling and attractive when someone is passionate about their duty or passion. Which is why he was interested in Luciana since she was so passionate when training but now he knows it probably was just show played by her.
