Arc 1.1

When Nicolás(Zain) smiled at the drawing. The Crown Prince entered he saw Nicolás smile. He stood in shock with only one thought running through his head. Since when has Nicolás been so beautiful? He knew that Nicolás is considered to be one of the most handsome men but he underestimated Nicolás beauty. He walks up to Nicolás to take a closer look. Lance soon found out what Nicolás is smiling at.

"Do you miss them?" Lance softly asks as he looks at Nicolás who doesn't even look up. Nicolás loses his smile instantly and returns to his cold self.

"I do" Nicolás coldly responds as he closes his notebook. He is honestly annoyed that Lance interrupted his proud moment. He couldn't even be happy for having a great skill. Lance felt regret rolling in that he made the other lose his smile.

"Hm they were strong people they are people who deserve to be remembered," Lance softly comforts. Lance couldn't help but respect Nicolás more he thought that Nicolás was cold and nothing more. The rumors made it seem that he did not have a heart and was ruthless. From what he could see Nicolás is a good man and can be trusted. He is glad he didn't listen to the rumors and not approach him. Nicolás looks at Lance unimpressed. Nicolás also is unsure of what's going on. In the original, Lance never came up to him.

"Prince Lance, may I ask who is that pouting woman behind you?" Nicolás asks coldly. Prince Lance turns and sees the heroine who is currently with a pitiful look.

"What happened?" Asks Prince Lance full of worry. Zain looked in interest as this didn't happen last time. He wonders what plan the heroine will execute. However, in everyone else eyes he seemed indifferent about the whole thing.

"I really needed to go to the bathroom! So I went to a random house and asked for permission to use theirs but I was denied. Apparently, the owner wasn't home and the guards say I couldn't use it. I almost peed myself luckily the next door neighbor was kind enough to let me use it," she pitifully cries. Lance felt a surge of anger and his fist tighten. How dare they mistreat her Luciana the way they did.

"Whose house didn't let you use their bathroom?" Questions Lance fiercely.

"It was the future general" she cries softly. Everyone turns to Nicolás full of distasteful looks.

"My home is full of government secrets. Military operations and full of my family heirlooms. Why would I allow anyone in my home? Only the Emperor can enter my home without permission. If anyone got a hold of those operations and sold them to our enemies. This would cause me to lose bringing disaster to our kingdom. I won't risk my homeland for letting a random stranger in my home. My guards have all been ordered to not let anyone enter no matter what reason," Nicolás coldly counters. Which made everyone to lose their criticizing looks to understanding. He looks at the Luciana with a smirk of triumph but quickly hid it. Luciana's eyes widen in shock wondering if Nicolás did know of the scheme she made. She shook her head believing it wasn't possible at all.

"That makes sense sorry for doubting you, Sir Nicolás," apologizes Prince Lance. Luciana looks at Nicolás her fist clenching why is it that evil doers are allowed to do whatever they want?

"It is no problem but please refrain from slandering my good name. I don't take it very well when someone slanders my family name. My family has sacrificed their lives for our kingdom. We of the Montes family are loyal to our Emperor," Nicolás coldly declares in a timely manner. As the Emperor had just walked in, and heard the whole conversation but the last part he heard the clearest. The middle-aged Emperor Evan White is known as the most chivalrous Emperor. Nicolás quickly notices the Emperor and bowed to his direction. Everyone else finally saw him and all bow.

"Greeting to the Emperor, long live our majesty!" They all say in unison as they bow.

"All of you may raise" orders the Emperor calmly. His gaze landing on Nicolás with interest. He hadn't seen Nicolás in years since he had been doing his general duties even when he hadn't been made the official Linux General. He is honestly the best general he had even compared to his parents.

"Greeting father Emperor I didn't know that you were coming," Prince Lance asks curiously as his father never really went to these type of events.

"I wasn't at first but I heard that future General Nicolás had decided to participate for today's battle. He usually doesn't like to do this annual battle and would send me a letter with an excuse about something he has to do and could not come. I think he only came in his first year before and now his last year" the Emperor said in amusement as he looks at Nicolás.

"My excuses were valid and brought fame to our Emperor" Nicolás states. While crossing his arms as he stares straight at the Emperor.

"Haha, that's right! Your family has always brought fame for me your parents would be proud of you. Future General Nicolás you already have your mom's mighty personality and your father fearless personality. Even being able to look me straight in the eyes. You are really capable to be the future General" the Emperor states joyously. He is really glad that his family chose the Montes to be their generals for generations. They have never tried to revolt and were loyal to the royal family even when they have the capabilities to do so. It's most likely for the royal family to betray the Montes but for him personality he won't betray the Montes.

"Thanks for the praise I will definitely live up to your expectations" Nicolás promises as he bows. Luciana lowers her head and anger is shown that honor should be her family, not the Montes. They stole that position from them they are only a bunch of thieves!
