A Rough End To A New Start.

With the war between the eastern and southern continents weapon supplies are in high demand and with the talk of the northern continent backing the east the south seems to be in trouble. The three kings who reside in the southern continent have been trying to get the West to back them. Some of the best magical swords smiths reside there.

However the ruler of the small Western continent has no intention in getting involved now that the massive northern continent has joined the war.

However a talented sword and accessories Smith has other intentions. Residing in a small mountain town called Wolf Pine 15 miles from the Free Trader's Port. Is a middle aged man named Xeno. Who's currently haggling with a familiar customer in side of his small stone shack.

"50 gold." says a man wearing black clothes with gold accents. Beads of sweat drip from his black spiky hair.

"Come on Xeno 30 gold." The customer says. He's wearing light chainmail. His blonde hair is in a mess after taking off his helmet

"Are you trying to insult me Aug?" Xeno asks.

"You want 50 gold for this shield what's so special about it?" Aug asks.

"Ha What's special about it. Well this shield can stop a nova strom." Xeno says.

"How about you hold up the shield and I'll use a powerful spell on it." Aug says.

"Fine." Xeno lifts the shield.

Aug points his rapier at Xeno "Hellfire Arrow."

At the point of his rapier a red fire forms then in a flash an arrow shaped beam shoots out and impacts the shield instantly the shield melts.

"What the hell Xeno that wasn't even made out of magic steel." Aug says.

Xeno sighs then goes into the backroom and returns with a real magic steel shield.

"Fine here's a real one." Xeno says.

"You tried to scam you old pal?" Aug asks.

"Hey the reserve of Magic steel is running low in the quarry." Xeno says.

"Here's 50 gold." Aug says.

"60" Xeno says. The second he says that Aug glares at him. "Okay 50." Xeno says.

"Good." Aug says.

"But 10 for the shield you destroyed." Xeno says.

In disbelief of his old friends action Aug lays down 60 gold and takes the shield and leaves in silence.

"Your always welcome here Aug." Xeno says.

The door slams shut and Xeno is alone in his shop.

Tossing his 60 gold coins into a pouch. As he's thinking about what to do the door opens and a beautiful woman walks in wearing a crimson dress. Xeno's face twists in disgust at his ex wife.

"Lyn it's good to see you." Xeno says sarcastically.

"Xeno how do you expect me to take care of our child without money." Lyn says.

"Ours? It could be anyone's in town." Xeno says.

"Now now there's no proof of that."

"Loose lips sink ships." Xeno says. Lyn's face has a nasty expression.

"What will everyone think about you when they hear you refuse to help your wife with your child." Lyn says with a smirk.

Xeno walks over to her with the pouch of gold. "60 gold in here." He says holding the pouch.

Lyn holds out her hand but Xeno opens the pouch and throws it out the door when it hits the ground gold coins explode out scattering on the ground.

Lyn immediately runs out and starts picking up the gold.

"Yeah your use to that aren't you." Xeno says smiling slamming the door behind her.

"Dammit Xeno just you wait." Lyn yells.

Later in the night Xeno continues to work on a sword. He's engraving some arcane runes on the tang after it's engraved he attaches a hilt made of Harden dragon bone. The entire sword is arms length. Looking closer at the hilt

there's a small slit.

Xeno grabs a small 6 inch knife and it slides into the slit perfectly the hilt of that knife is also dragon bone so with them together it only looks like one sword.

Satisfied he places it in a secret spot under a floor board. Where he keeps most of his important items. Like the deed to his shop. His will. Etc.

"Tomorrow's the day." Xeno says to himself with a big smile. Thinking back on it he still thinks this deal is too good to be true.

About four weeks ago Xeno ran into an ambassador that was sent from the southern continent after talks with King of the west failed the ambassador was on his way home with the unfortunate news when he met Xeno at the free trader's port.

The ambassador was amazed by Xeno's craftsmanship and bought his best magic steel swords. After they had a chat Xeno told the man about a secret sword he was working on.

When the ambassador heard about Xeno's new sword that would allow the user to use two different types of magic at the same time and the power would be enhanced by a certain material he offered Xeno 10 million gold coins if he would sell the plans after seeing his sword in action and after that the ambassador returned home to tell the kings about what happened.

Now in less than 16 hours Xeno's close to being a rich man.

After locking up his shop Xeno goes to bed.

Xeno is suddenly awaken by a hand grabbing his throat. "Lyn sends her regards." Says a man wearing black clothes with a crimson crest on it. Then Xeno feels a burning pain in his chest as a knife stabs into his heart.

Xeno's eyes open wide as he looks around he sees clouds. "What the hell."

As he looks around he sees a person with wings floating towards him.

"Ah hello Xeno." The angel says.

"Is this real." Xeno says.

"Oh yes this is very real you have been killed."

The angel says.

"Yeah I figured that." Xeno says.

"Oh…" the angel falls silent.

"So what now?" Xeno asks.

"Oh right I'm suppose to show you how your life was going to play out." The angel says then fires a beam of light at Xeno.

Xeno is seeing his future or what could've been. First his deal was a success. His weapon helped the south end the war. He then married a princess and became king where after ruling for 30 years he passed peacefully.

"That… was… going.. To.. Happen to me…" Xeno says.

"Yep but now that your dead that's all over." The angel says.

Xeno falls to his knees.

A floating light is in front of Xeno and a voice follows.

"You've had a hard life but now…" the voice gets cut off by Xeno. "Send me back."

"Uh.. Wa.What." the voice is confused.

"I want to go back." Xeno says.

"Well… normally a person has any wish granted here in heaven but you…" the voice says

"What?" Xeno asks. "Ahem I was going to say even though you've had a hard life your actions show your evils and you cannot be allowed here." The voice says.

"I.."

In the next second Xeno is surrounded by fire.

"GOD DAMMIT!" Xeno exclaims in anger.

"Ahahaha that's the spirit." A demonic voice says.

Xeno sits down dejected.

"Uh… no reaction?" The demonic voice asks.

"No." Xeno says.

"Fine I'll tell you the gist of it..." The voice says.

"pain, suffering for an eternity yeah yeah." Xeno says.

"I don't like you." The voice says.

Xeno doesn't respond.

There's a sigh then a flash of red and there's a young demon girl in front of Xeno.

"C'mon scream in terror." She whispers to Xeno.

"Nah." Xeno says.

Then a much deeper demonic voice sounds. "Haze you can't even scare a damned one."

"Wait my Lord." She says.

"Quiet." The voice says to her then asks Xeno. "How would you like to make a deal human."

"Depends can you send me back." Xeno asks. "Haha yes. I can even make you young again." The voice says.

Xeno eyes go wide thinking of being young again. "What's the catch?" he asks.

"She will join you on your journey." The voice says.

"Sure. But can I ask why." Xeno asks. "She constantly fails to send terror into humans and with your wicked thoughts your the perfect being to train her." The voice says.

"My thoughts?" Xeno asks.

"I heard what you thought about doing to your ex wife for killing you how ruthless."

"Oh." Xeno says.

"Now be gone."

Xeno awakes on a grassy hill suddenly he's kicked by a child.

"You.. You Bastard you made me get banished from hell. She says.

"Look I'm home." Xeno is surprised by his voice it's not as gruff.

"Listen to me." She says.

"Oh it's you again." Xeno says.

"Grrrr you why couldn't you help me you were my last chance to become a devil." She says.

"Be more scary next time." Xeno says standing up. "Wait my deal!!"

"Your 3 days late." Haze says

"What?" Xeno asks.

"Time's faster in hell you've missed your deal."

She says.

Xeno sits dejectedly again.

"What about my shop?" He asks.

"I don't know." Haze says.

"Let's go then." Xeno says standing up.
