1 Prologue : The Death of the 7th Kage

Author Note: This was a what if story when Naruto lose his life fighting Ishisshiki.

A very big regret, that's what Uzumaki Naruto felt when he died along with Kurama for using bryon mode against the members of the Otsutsuki clan Ishissiki who came to Konoha.

He regrets cannot be a good husband for Hinata, he regrets for not became a good father to Himawari and Boruto. And what he regrets the most is why he used to insist on becoming Hokage!

Because of his stupidity when he became the seventh Hokage, Konoha will be destroyed and he knows that his wife and two children will also die.

It made him very sad and annoyed how naive and stupid he used to be, when he really wanted to became a Hokage.

Naruto finally realized that in the past he wanted to become Hokage as his ultimate goal of life, was not to protect the village, but to made himself recognized by all the villagers of Konoha.

Protecting the village was priority number two for him. He finally realized that he did not deserve to be Hokage, because he was less educated than any other Hokage and his leadership ability altough good not as good as other Hokage he only mediocre if he was compared to other Hokage.

In fact, on a ninja level, he is below the other Hokage, because when he became Hokage he was just a Genin.

Besides that in terms of technique and tactics he is also far below the other Hokage before him, because the ninja techniques he knew only Henge, Kagebunshin, Kawarimi, senjutsu and Rasengan with various variations and a few earth element moves, maybe he only know eighty jutsu or more while the Hokage before him is more than a hundred.

And now Naruto is currently floating in an all-white place with no up, down, left, or right just like when he met the Rikudou Sennin.

"If I could go back in time! I would beat myself up when I was a kid and give him a very good advice! So that he studies more diligently and stops talking about his stupid desire and obsession to become a Hokage! And also my stupid nindo that I will never break my promise or my words!" Naruto said. "The attention I got from Hokage-jii-san, Teuchi-jii-san, Ayame-nee-san and Iruka-Sensei as well as Hinata are more than enough for me! I was really stupid to think that everyone should acknowledge me! Even though the confessions from those five people are more than enough for me!"

"It seems you regret your situation Naruto," said Hagoromo the Rikudo Sennin.

"Grandpa Rikudo," Naruto said looking at Hagoromo. "If you're here, then I'm really dead."

"That's true but only your body, while your spirit is currently at the border between the afterlife and earth just like when you first met me then I gave you half of my power," Rikudo Sennin explained to Naruto who was in front of him, and he could see a very deep regret in Naruto eyes."Why are you here again Naruto, with all the power you have. There should be almost no ninja or enemy that can beat you."

"I'm here once again because of my naivety and stupidity Grandpa Rikudo," Naruto then told Hagoromo everything that had happened to him. "If only I had been smarter, maybe now I wouldn't have died and been here with you! And Kurama still will still alive inside me!"

"I didn't think that there was another Otsusuki besides my mother who intended to plant the Shinju and make more Jyuubi and Kurama your ace card also died," Hagoromo said with a sigh and a gloomy face. "At this rate maybe I should sacrifice all my strength and send your spirit to the past, to prevent a tragedy greater than the resurrection of the Jyuubi."

"Grandpa Rikudo, you want to send me to the past by sacrificing yourself!" Naruto said shocked. "You don't have to do that!"

"It doesn't matter to me Naruto, you already saved the world, sending you back to the past using all my strength is my gratitude to you," Hagoromo said. "But not as Uzumaki, but as a Senju so to make you become the perfect transmigrant for Asura."

"I will be born as Senju? Then what about my father and mother?" Naruto asked.

"Your father is still the same as Namikaze Minato who is the son of Madara Uchiha whose identity is unknown to the Uchiha clan itself except by the third Hokage and his two students," Rikudo Sennin said. "While your mother is Senju Tsunade, the granddaughter of the first Hokage as well as the fifth Hokage."

"My father is a descendant of Madara Uchiha!" Naruto said. "But why doesn't he have a sharingan?"

"That's because your father doesn't want to rely on his doujutsu," Rikudo Sennin said. "And he doesn't want his true identity to be known by the Uchiha clan who hates Madara so much."

"Then there's a chance I'll be able to resurrect the Rinnegan?" Naruto asked.

"100% you will be born with the Rinnegan, you can even disable it so there will be Zero suspicion," Replied Rikudo Sennin. "Plus you can also use your Rinnegan like Sharingan and Byakugan it's a feature I added to your Rinnegan, oh yeah you will also be able to master all elements including wood element!"

"How come my reincarnation is like the Overpowered character from the manga that Boruto reads!" Naruto said. "Moreover, my mother will be Tsunade-Baa-chan, a woman who I consider as my own mother. Whether I should feel happy or sad, I'm confused."

"Indeed you will be reincarnated with great strength Naruto, but that doesn't mean you will be strong as soon as you are born," Hagoromo said. "You have to retrain your body from scratch, you will be as weak as any other baby, it's just that you were born special Naruto, because you will be born with the strongest doujutsu."

"Last question before I reincarnate," Naruto said. "Will my name still be 'Naruto'?"

"No, because the other you will be born from the womb of the last Uzumaki, Uzumaki Kushina's," Replied Hagoromo. "But one thing I can be sure of is, you will return to being the Kyuubi's Jinchuriki and meet Kurama again."

"It's a fate that I can't avoid, huh," Naruto was happy to be reunited with his old partner, because Kurama had been sealed within his body from the time he was born.

"Your fate to become a Kyuubi Jinchuriki was something that cannot be avoided," Hagoromo said. "But this time the case will be different because you will be reborn with more preparation."

"Then Rikudo jiji, will there be any guarantee that I will truly return to the past?" Asked Naruto.

"You will return to the past one year before your other self is born, I guarantee that," Replied Hagoromo. "But whether you go back to the exact past or not I can't guarantee that, because there is a possibility that you will be sent to an alternate world from the world of shinobi you know."

"Eeeeh won't that not change what happens in the future!" Naruto said. "Then what's the point of you sending me to the past!?"

"Space and time are complicated things Naruto," Hagoromo said. "Be thankful that at least you can change the future even though you are in a slightly different world from the world you know."

"Sigh, fine," Naruto said. "I accept your offer, Rikudo jiji because at least I can live again and reunite with the people I care about."

"Then hold my right hand," Hagoromo said. "That way I can send you to the past."

Naruto did as Hagoromo ordered and holding his right hand, Naruto could feel the Yin and Yang power from Hagoromo transfered into his body. And in an instant he disappeared from where he met Hagoromo leaving only Hagoromo who was still floating while sitting cross-legged in that place.

"Save the world once again, Asura," Hagoromo said. "But this time do it right, because there's no such thing as a third chance."
