After thought

Her motorcycle always put her mind at ease. The rush of the wind roaring past, was like an old friend. This time however, there wasn't a speed that could erase the inner turmoil. One Hundred and seventy ticked by then a hundred eighty, the bike's rpm revived, unaccustomed to this abuse.

'Dammit just go faster' Lena screamed inside.

She knew it was reckless ,at this point, to hope for better from the bike or herself.

It had always been the same, she was the families dirty secret, she was the unwanted child, that could never live up to....

The bike finally settled down outside a modest graveyard. Lena parked the bike in a daze and moved through the headstones, each one belonged to, obliviously, loved persons. She breathed deep and tried to will the lump down in her throat.

"Hey man," She spoke to an unassuming headstone. "It's been a while ,huh?"

Lena sat down next to it a began to pick half heartily at random patches of grass

"You know me, just, I don't know. Makin' a mess of stuff. Mom and Da still are acting stuupidd" She started to laugh

"Yea, I know, it's not polite to talk about them like that, huh?But dude you always were there to take the pressure off. Make them realize, Ima human not some doll that has a bad haircut"

Lena smiled tears flowing freely.

"They want me to marry some person I don't even know. They say it's for the families reputation. That ,That, it's for MY own sake" She snarled at a particular weed

"John, I miss you so much. I can't help it. I feel like I'm just lettin' them all down." She paused ,silently pleading to the stone for some short of answer.

"Yeah I know bub. You cant save me every time. And Blah blah they are desperate for a new heir to the company since you passed and blah."

Lena stood up and dusted off the blades of grass and clumps of dirt off her shorts.

" Ill do it, but I'ma be wasted." She started to walk away ,but turned back with a mischievous grin

"And I'm going to look like a beast. With the help of makeup or otherwise."
